Nice video man. Make sure to get a good ceramic coating like AvalonKing and put that on the wrap. It'll be a lot smoother and easier to clean. Plus it will have a lot more shine.
Noted! Was planning to ceramic coat it for sure, but I guess I better do it sooner rather than later (even though it’ll be parked for winter soon now… haha)
@@zakweeler for sure bro. The sooner you do it the better it will hold up. We did it to my friends car and it looked as good as the day we put it on when he went to change it.
Honestly vinyl wrap quality has come a very long way, there are a lot of wrap jobs these days where you honestly have a very hard time telling if it’s vinyl or paint… that said, in person you can tell mine is vinyl, but I plan to ceramic coat it within the next week or two here and that adds to the gloss and shine as well
Brand is Avery Dennison, color is Gloss Roaring Thunder. It’s been great! I made this video and wrapped the car nearly 3 years ago already…. and it’s still on the car today. Might re-wrap next year just to change it up and do a better job but still holding up well!
Don't Od on those energy drinks I know a Trucker who did had massive strokes , in Coma for awhile ,, besides I don't believe this was your first time ,, as an amateur my self it takes more than a first time to do that good of a Job
I think the difference is that a pro would do this quality of job in probably half the time. It took me over 100 hours here though, I promise it was my first time!! Thank you for the kind words though, I’ll try and lay off the energy drinks haha
I know it's a year too late but buddy... GO THE F*CK TO SLEEP 🙃The non crack yet crackhead energy was beautiful I can't lie. But I've bought the roll a week ago and watching all these videos of shops or professional wrappers knocking out their wraps with efficient laser guided precision has been a joy for my OCD and ADHD self to watch but this right here.... the DIY spirit and seeing how your first wrap went/ end product is finally the video I needed to feel confident enough to go knock my own job out. Thank you sir 🍀🧑🦽
Well the roll was 25 yards of material by about 60” I think in width. Still have probably a solid 5 yards left I think maybe more? Should be enough to do the widebody fenders once they are ready!
Thanks man appreciate it! The key is patience…. spent about 80-90 hours on this, and it couldve been better because I even rushed a couple spots. Definitely learned a lot, excited to do a better job for the next time I wrap something!
@@zakweeler I bet ya it looks good for sure I started learning to wrap my self but have not done a full car yet. Just trim headlight tail lights two hoods. Hoping to try and wrap my wife car here soon down the road but I give ya props bc it def takes patience for sure.
It’s called Gloss Roaring Thunder, by Avery Dennison… and I feel like it’s more of a patience thing, it takes a lot of time to get a clean application, some stuff was pretty difficult like stretching the wrap into my door handle pieces and then of course dealing with front bumper and side mirrors. I spent close to 100 hours on wrapping I think!
It’s still happening! Just ended up not liking the results that were coming from the original attempt. If you watch the Widebody Part 6 video I kind of gave a status update. Going to be 3D printing molds instead of using the foam to get a much cleaner and more professional final product. Just been tackling some other things here first!
@@zakweeler sweet I just hope for success because I was going to replicate with my legend ! Do you mind if I post your car on my ig it's dedicated to 90s Acura legend vigors integras and nsx
If there's anything we do... it's see things through to completion, I just didn't want it to turn out sub-par, so taking a step back and going the new route we will make sure it turns out great! Just a lot of time goes into it so executing the process and putting the time towards the right steps is key. Also sure! you will find some more pics on the personal IG (@z_wiebe) if you want something else to repost. Thanks!
This the type of personality I wish all my friends had 😂💯
That looked amazing!! Can't wait for the next one. Also definitely one of your funniest videos. 😂😂😂
Thank you!! 😁

I like what you’ve done! You’re giving me ideas. It would be a go if I could get original color code. Looks better than I thought it would

Bro🔥
Cool! I'm inspired to attempt first time wrapping my rust bucket too now :) I'm also from Alberta, where did you pick up your Dennison Avery wrap?
Picked it up from Custom Decals YYC, but any shop that offers vinyl wrapping in general should be able to supply it.
Dope color

Haha love it. Just takes time is all, take your time and you’ll figure out the little tricks and everything you need to make it look good 👌
How much did the wrap cost?
Around $900 USD
Dooooope!!!, how much wrap did you end up having to use?
