Apple has done that before, remember the What's a computer ad, that was before iPads even had the Mac chips in them, iPhones are "good enough" with some post editing, and until Apple does something special instead of AI/ML "magic", it'll be like that
0.58 The minimum focus distance of the 3x lens may not always be close enough, that's what I've found through experience with my 13 Pro. Edit: Blackmagic camera might be worth a look at.
honestly, this want for customization made me use open camera on android. it lacks certain major features like uwa support, but just being able to specify photo resolution, video quality, and get results better than the oem app is very nice. the oem app sacrifices quality for processing speed
Yeah that’s the issue with iPhones for any kind of photography. They want it to be simple to use, but that in turn removes a lot of the choice in the way a photo is taken
client: "we want it to look like its shot on an iPhone!" >no, you don't >*stops down to F16* >prays they don't ask to make it look like "cinematic mode"
I wouldn’t even buy crappy samsung if i wanted to film professional videos, if i wanted to have good quality on photos just buy an actual camera, not a iphone or a android
it’s just youtubers and influencers searching for reasons to defend their 1000€+ year over year spending on the newest phone from apple. your reasons too but i think it’s mainly the flexing of the newest device…

@@lachlanlau it’s definitely close enough because it worked on Final Cut Camera. Good point though.
The volume works for on mine in final cut video, guess they've updated it
I think the fact dankpods uses iPhones to film his videos is a good example of how iPhones are great for certain situations when recording videos

I have the Luca Pro X 24mp but the iphone clearly blows it out of the water and is really what a true professional camera should be like
at least it has a pause button now :D

The best camera is the one you’re carrying with you.

I just use blackmagic camera on my phones, it's better than finalcut camera.🤷
