- I truly did think rehab was stressful until I heard the perspective of a mom with three kids tho! Shoutout to everyone who came to this show (I think it was Knoxville), except for the offended flight attendant lady!

I think that this shows how messy being a Christian is. It can be ugly and humbling, but knowing that there is a community who holds you accountable while *holding* you as valuable is one of the most lovely things.

I think of Joseph and Potiphars wife. We flee from intentional sin. Some think it's OK to get as close to the line as possible but we are supposed to get as far away from that line as possible. We all sin...but...intentional sin is different.
And now the entire internet is John's honorary accountability partner haha. In a way, that's embarrassing, yes. But it is better to be embarrassed on your way to Jesus than proud and cool on your way to destruction.
“Christian’s” are the only organized group that is suppose to be like Jesus that kick their own until they bleed to death. This is not accountability.
It is messy being a human.
The only difference between you and the rest of us, is that you're in the public eye. Everyone has fallen short of the glory of God. EVERYONE. I'm so glad you're back doing what God obviously gifted you to do. Keep the laughs coming.

As someone who has been a fan of yours for a long time, John; I just wanted to say that you are still an inspiration to me. To go through trials and make it out the other side is a great testimony, not something to be ashamed of. To speak the truth with boldness is what being a Christian is all about. Adding the extra layer of humor shows great character and spiritual development. I wish you continued success and happiness in Christ our Lord.

Love you John. I’ve been in the hospital 3 times for attempted suicide and have a lot of guilt and pain from sexual sin, so your not alone brother! Keep doing what you do. I hope you know you’re a blessing to many.
Glad you're still with us. I don't even know the full story of the controversy with John (guess I've been living under a rock) and I don't think I need to know either honestly. I have experienced a lot of shame for the same thing and although I don't think I've fully recovered from that shame, in the past year I've done what I never thought I'd be able to do and started opening up to other people about it who I thought would be disgusted by me for it. There are still people I haven't told that I still think would look at me differently honestly but maybe I'll be able to open up more one day. Always remember that Christ loves you and forgives your sins. ❤️

I hope you are doing better. It helps me to remember that 1) God has a purpose for me, or He would have already called me up. 2) It's necessary to remember my past sin, but suffering of guilt and doubts over it means I believe our Lord Jesus Chist is not great enough to cover them. Which is simply not true.
Trust and follow God's words, not the devil's. Anything that contradicts God is from the devil. Memorizing scripture and the promises of our Savior is a good habit to counter this.

Hi John, I'm sorry you were going through some stuff. My sister was all summer bible camp one minute, shooting heroin the next. No judgment here, just reaffirming it could happen to anyone!
I'm not Christian but appreciate your comedy because I grew up in that environment, and wish you many healthy years of laughter and success❤

@@cmr_77 well it's my sister... she went to jail as soon as she turned 18 and got a felony. We thought since the boyfriend would be locked up for 6 years that she would be ok, away from him. But since then, she's jumped from addict to addict. She's 36 now and had 2 kids, my mom has custody and the police are looking for her as I type... so things are not good at all.

@@yourleftbigtoe I only knew about the addiction, but it's strange you'd watch his video, when you knew what he did and it clearly upsets you.
Laughter: It helps you cope. Laud, yes! I’m old, John, and a mother of five now adult kids. Homeschooled them all. Made a ton of mistakes….and had to watch some of them suffer through our legalistic method of “sharing” Jesus. Good grief! I had many things bassackwards…but, we made it through. They made it through. You made it through. Not everybody does. God bless you. I don’t miss a single one of your videos. Love them…and you!
Totally relate to the mom comments. I had four children under 6! My mom had 11 children and her only “holiday” was the few days she had in the hospital recovering from childbirth.
But,praise God you made it through your recovery and can bless God and others through your witness and testimony, John.
I had rather listen to a honest person who admits short coming and issues with mental health than a person who denies this.

I have 2 tickets to see John in Houston on April 1st and I'm so happy to finally see him in person. He's such a natural, so genuine, and so very funny. Love him! And I 'found' him by accident on UA-cam last year watching his 'weatherman in Colorado' and I thought it was for real. Brilliant man!

One of my biggest disappointments of last year was when your concert in Syracuse, NY was canceled. It would have been my second time seeing you. I love you, I think you are funny and your honesty is refreshing. Christians do shame others in the name of Christ’s love. I struggle with that because God is love and loves us through our failures then makes them our strength through Him.

Been there, done that, have the t-shirt (literally). The biggest misconception is the response of people once the “truth” is out. I lost very very few acquaintances but my friends and the overwhelming majority of the world accepted, encouraged, and loved me. Proud of you for helping remove the stigma. Keep fighting the good fight.
