@@NorthwestCatch it has been awhile about 2 month and water lows are low now but after watching your video, those are some awesome creations keep up your work and stay safe
I love watching you make these tube flies as I like to make my own setups as well. I’d love to see and episode of you fishing with these flies and show them catching fish. Put them dam things to work!!! I’m glad you choose a 15lb leader as many go too light. Gets that great movement. Roosevelt was finicky in late January 2022.
Thanks so much. You are so right. I always fish with at least 1of my flys in the spread but don’t show it enough. I just filmed a couple days ago and showed the fly a lot. Look for that episode to post soon. Can’t wait to get back to Rosy if you see my boat come say hi.
Nice. An all black blade might be cool on that, too. Oooh, black with a pink dot! I use a hole punch to make dots out of different tapes. Fun figuring out a new hot ticket. Report back on your success, okay? How'd you come to know Dave Vedder? Used to see his articles once in a while in STS (long time ago...I got old too).
Great ideas Rick. Black blade pink dot sounds very fishy. I met Dave through a mutual friend 7-8 years ago. Dave Is a really great Human. Report coming soon.
I tie up lots of flies for Roosevelt. I will try the one I just viewed here there is another one that I am trying to duplicate because the person that sold them at Hooked On Toys does not tie them anymore. I am trying to match the products that this person used if I sent you a picture of this fly could you help me out? I think it's called the Roosevelt Drifter.
Wish I could get my hands on some of them!😊
Nice job!
Thanks Stank
I like your fly vise. I think I'll make one just like it when I get access to my welder back in the U.P.
Very awesome creation 😀 👏
Thanks. How are you. Any fun times down south?

Can you please link the small tube you buy from? I would like to start tying. Thanks
I would lose the black and go all in on pink

Brother Colin wanted to test some of his lure creations. Got a stock tank and installed a small water pump for circulation.
This is a great idea. You got me thinking haha. Your comments are always appreciated.
