According to the music files (yes, we're going that far) Pinwheel's theme is right after Capra Demon's, which makes sense considering when the clerics leave for the catacombs. There's still no set order for fighting them, but that has been my headcanon for a while. It actually feels like a real boss if you fight it around this time too.
Fun fact: A guy by the name of NGPlus actually did find a way to skip the Sanctuary Guardian! (He was doing a DS1 challenge run where he tried to beat all bosses in alphabetical order). You need to get somebody to drop you the Purple Coward's Crystal into your world. Then use a precise trick where you fall off a ledge while using a moss clump and immediately swapping to the Purple Coward's Crystal to wrong-warp outside of the PvP arena, which is beyond Artorias' arena. Then you can proceed through the DLC (relatively) normally.
I have issues with my own video, but thank you for shouting me out!! Honestly learned some things from this and going by the amount of souls earned is a creative way to fix that issue of boss order in a game like DS1. Amazing video and you did a RBO video really good justice.

Got to hand it to Miyazaki, even if you are intentionally trying to, you can't get stuck even if u managed to skip a gold gate . There's always a way out

Dude this was crazy. I tried the iron golem skip for the memes a long time ago and that trick is impossible! You did it multiple times to pull this off. Kudos!! What was the hardest trick you did to accomplish this run?
Putting Pinwheel before Anor Londo is not nearly as weird as putting Pinwheel between Quelaag and Ceaseless, at least if you're putting all _three_ of them before Anor Londo.
great video. I have no clue if anyone has commented it already but I was wondering: couldn't you also while doing the golden door skip on Duke's for the first time also free Logan buy all his crystal spells and then "make him a piñata" (lol) to drop teh TCC? afaik the moment you enter the archives the game triggers to put him there if you rescued him at Sen's. maybe some might think the TCC is a bad idea due to half the casts but, I think the damage does compensates for it mostly (and most bosses later on were solved on two or less shots anyways so yeah) anyways this seems fun and might be something I might try one day.
Unfortunately, Logan doesn't move until you either have the Lordvessel and go through his (leave) dialogue in Firelink, or you enter the prison. Going through the prison is an option to get him to move; but since I skipped it, he never moved. The TCC and Crystal Soul Spear would help with some bosses, especially Kalameet. So definitely not a bad idea if you want the extra damage from them.
@@splee5556 yeah this was what I was thinking, going through the prison. it will be something I will keep in mind then since I remember someone doing something similar in a challenge run once
I bought the D.S. collection and played ds3 and absolutely loved it! Then i tried ds2, and the controls were so bad. I forget how fluid and smooth controls/player movements have become. Old games just feel so jerky by comparison. Also, the graphics are just not good. I tried ds1 before i played ds3, and that was an experience to day the least, lol. Painful is a good word. Painful to look at, painful to control the player, and painful in difficulty settings. The parry timing and dodging were so different from modern games. Everything felt slower somehow. And if you need to do farming to level up some to help you get past a character or boss fight, you only have that starting area to do it in. So i just had to run through the same area over and over and over, and none of them yielded high souls, so it took forever. I know farming is repetitive, but when it yields good soul levels, it's rewarding cause you know it's paying off at least. Ds1 and Ds2 are just too dated at this point. Some people enjoy old games, and that's fine. But I just can't get down with these old a.f. games. They're just painful to look at and painful to control. The graphics are so bad that sometimes I don't even know what im looking at.
In DS2 if you could parry-walk the game amounted to just being a boss rush . That being said, if you know a way past sanctuary guardian then the rest is doable via boss skips, wrong warping (are there wrong warps in the dlc ?) or quitting out before victory achieved appears on the screen (doesnt really apply if you fog gated into a fight) and if not then at least ya didnt waste that much time finding out .
15:44 How come you didn't die to fall damage? I've heard of Fall Control quit-outs, or using RoFaP to have enough rolls to just meme roll all the way down, but never heard of comboing those two. What is the interaction here? Does fall control calculate fall damage based on distance from the previous roll? If that's the case, why do falls without fall control not do that as well? Also bonus question: Could you have done a fall control quit-out here?
@@EthereaL-m5f I believe it calculates fall damage with Fall Control from the height of the final roll. Fall Control has a bunch of weird effects (i.e. delaying death, causing certain kill planes to not work until it wears off). I'm not sure why exactly it works, I just know it does. Lol I don't believe a Fall Control Quit Out will work there, as the elevator is considered unstable ground. So you'll just end up back at the top of the shaft unfortunately.
