Pretty creative
cool ❤❤❤❤
That’s cheesy as hell
What fuck?
Bro WHAT lol
+15 Black Bow + Feather Arrows? Now this is my kind of playthrough!
all RPG paths lead to stealth archer
Moonlight butterfly is probably the only boss in history where cheesing him just makes things harder
very awesome video my dude. my favorite way to "kill" asylum demon will always be to perform the black firebombs skip before going to lordran, and then later on coming back to the asylum, resting at the bonfire in front of the boss area. Then, all thats left is to walk in the arena and to keep falling down the hole where stray demon is until the asylum demon also falls down. i dont really think this is considered "cheesing" but watching asylum demon get absolutely destroyed by stray demon is always super fun. i definitely recommend trying it just for shits and giggles! good video sir
That sounds amazing, i didnt know he would still be there as i figured post tutorial asylum would be a different zone
Nice chill watch on my day off, thanks amigo. The Butterfly skip was so sick! Had legitimately never noticed that the bridge was up there all along, seeing it from all those new angles really put into perspective how intertwined the zone is.
Dark Souls' map is a thing of beauty.
Started watching the video thinking that I would see everything that I had already seen while watching many other challenge runs. And I was right. "Starting off we have a classic Asylum skip". Yeah, I've seen it dozens of times. And then you hit me with those two other skips/cheeses I've never saw in my life lol. That's some quality content right here!
Another classic is where you jump attack and it yeets you on the roof for some reason. And I also remember one where you jump off to your side after entering a fog gate and somehow clip through a wall but I couldn't find it now, maybe it's a ptde thing or maybe I'm tweaking.
25:07 That looked like the most powerful hit in the nuts ever. Imagine kicking someone so hard in the Balls your X an Y coordinates shift by several miles.😂
you can buy poop and throw it over the wall to toxic the kappa demon, make sure you farm a few blooming purple moss clumps off the trees
This is one of the better known ones from back in the day. I remember I ended up using this method after my friend showed me a video of it. Thank you friend.
@@bebe8090 I miss PS3 days
Or you can buy blooming from the female undead merchant lol
Can also just do it with firebombs!
Edit: oops I made this comment before I saw that in the video, firebombs are exactly what he used.
One of the shittier methods but sure
50:04 Very satisfying thud as you deal over 5x pinwheel's max health to him in damage
Most difficult pinwheel fight
You can actually cheese both the sanctuary guardian and Gwin by entering the fog gate without surpassing the aggro line. Then you can free aim them with your bow to safely shoot them
Interesting. Do you have a link to a clip of it being done against the Sanctuary Guardian? I couldn't seem to enter without getting aggro immediately.
Do you know if that’s the original or the remaster? Both have their share of gamebreaking exploits and bugs, but they’re not the *same* gamebreaking bugs.
Except for deathcam, which has apparently managed to survive at least into DS3.

See you get it, ive watched so many "cheese" runs but then they just fight a boss normally with lots of damage, in one vid he said he decided to do that because its easier than doing the actual cheese for a boss likw what?! This is a video ive been wanting for ages i love braking games and doing what your not supposed too.
fr people don't understand what cheesing a boss means. there was one video where the method shown to "cheese" velstadt was to just repeatedly parry him
A cheese is a way to easily kill a boss while being mostly or completely safe. Like the one with the firebomb giant (left out bomb first but remembered Elden Ring).
@@emperortgp2424exactly, there still an element of risk, a true cheese, it to beat them with no risk or extremely low risk
these are insanely sophisticated speedrun methods. well done
what a comfy idea for a video to watch while I drift into dark souls themed dreams
Loved the video, seeing some of the different methods when available was amazing. Also hate to be that person, but there were some cheeses you might not have know about. Sanctuary Guardian has an AI break by using the Pickup & Enter glitch. Gwyn also has one, but it is more cursed. You have to get stuck in the foggate with a Pickup & Enter, but not activate the fight. Then you can pelt arrows at him, but you can't really aim. You have to kind of guess and the damage drop off is a lot at that distance, but he won't attack you. This last one is more debatable. Gaping Dragon once again has a pickup and enter, but you do activate the AI. You end up in an out of bounds area to the right of the foggate with it. Once there most attacks can't hit you so you can shoot them with arrows. I can't really remember if the bile spew they do can hit still. It was awhile ago when I did testing and found that one so i could be misremembering/not 100% sure on it. Still an amazing video!
Appreciate the information! I did try to find an angle that allowed you to break the Sanctuary Guardian's AI; but couldn't seem to get past the trigger. Do you have a link to a clip where I can see the proper lineup?
Admittedly, I didn't look as much into Gwyn and the Gaping Dragon. Cool to know those exist though!
@@splee5556 you can find a version of the gwyn and sanctuary guardian cheese in the bow only vid made by ymfah, but the set up is really cursed
Your channel NEEDS to blow up very very informative and entertaining!
Thanks. Just finished my first playthrough at 132 hours and see this.**** you
I like that when you cheese the bosses, hitting them from outside their own arena. Its like theyre waiting for their part to play in the video game and are just so excited.
Been watching this to bed while falling asleep for the last 4 nights. I appreciate you dawg. I think I’ll finish it in like 2 more nights haha
ive never seen the gwyn cheese honestly, this was an amazing vid man, excited to see more from you
Great video man. From veteran here, i discovered a ton of stuff, even if I most probably won't use it. Good job fr.
Awesome video! I love that you showed both skips and cheeses for all bosses that you could
Your voice Is so calming, whatching in my day off after playing a bit c:
this is your best video yet hands down, very entertaining!
therapy is expensive. throwing firebombs over the capra demon's fog gate to kill him is free. (im not even gonna lie i played demons souls before i played ds1 and for the longest time i thought fog gates acted as loading zones, so thats crazy to me lol)
Some still do. But some bosses are loaded anyway. Thats why some of these said "Trigger the boss fight, then warp out." I think Bloodborne even had one that was just a loading zone. But Demons Souls has tons of those.
I was skeptical thinking it would be a typical ds1 "cheese" video. Ive seen skips ive never seen ever! Excellent video!
You always come up with the craziest ways to break this game. These videos never fail to amaze me.
Love your channel friend! Keep posting.
Cheers!
Love that players are still finding new things in DS1 after all these years
Clicked because even though I've played this game to death, I do love cheese, but didn't expect to see anything new. Let alone in the first three minutes! 2:56 Holy heck never seen that before in 10+ years, I love it.
There IS something for Nito, though I'm not sure if it's 100% cheese.
If you have both the Ring of Fog and Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring, only Nito will follow you, not the skeletons.
If you approach him from the right, at a distance, he'll try walking towards you but get stuck behind the big skeletons, who're inactive.
From there, you can fire arrows at him safely from a distance. He'll try the scream-sword attack, but standing completely still and blocking with a two-handed weapon causes it to miss.
If that two-handed block counts as "effort", then this may not be 100% cheese, but it sure is a grimy way to beat the Gravelord.
That is 100% cheese. Bosses summoning minions is a cardinal sin. Him getting stuck on them is absolute justice.
28:32 I usually don't care to see glitch speed runs of games and stuff like that, but I have never seen someone break this game with such surgical precision. This must have taken you a long while to understand all of these systems and master all of these tricks and my hat is off to you, my man. This video blew my mind pretty much all throughout. This is some high quality cheese
it took me a while to process whatever happened at 25:00 imagine being the first person to find this glitch.
I cant explain it but this guy has the same cadence as Kermit the frog (In a good way)
33:52 Priscilla is NOT the only boss that won't fight on sight. Ceaseless will let you walk around all you want until you steal his dead sister's clothes.
Highly underated, consistent content. Looking forward to new experiments
The moonlight butterfly cheese is actually so cool, never seen that boss from that kinda angle
Impressive work on the Butterfly discovery!
this has helped me sleep, thank you.
You really are one of the most underrated Dark Souls channels
This was a really fun watch! Would love to see you do this for the other souls titles :)

Ultimate skip: don’t play the game
True final skip: unalive
@@notnoaintno5134true ultra final skip: don’t be born
True final skip: sock
you don't get end credits then
You may not be able to skip Bell Gargoyles to get to the Bell, but you could use the whatcha-call-it glitch to get through the door of Sen's Fortress without ringing the Bells, which is basically a Gargoyle skip
Maybe Sen's Skip doesn't count because in a way you're not "skipping" the Gargoyles by moving past their area like with Ceaseless, but you're "ignoring" them by not going to their area in the first place? Also you could just wrong warp to Kiln and skip most of the bosses so this is more about cheesing and semantics than textbook definitions :D
Death cam glitch?
@@JoeNeutrinosadly can't be used since it can't be triggered anywhere but at sen skip location, and you can't climb the ladders in the church since they're unloaded
The funny thing about skipping Taurus Demon without the master key is that you don't really _need_ to do anything unintended to do it.
You can just go through new londo normally, kill Ingward for the key, open the seal and then exit to the valley of drakes.
Great video, super casual and fun to watch.
Note, I'm pretty sure you can "cheese" Pinwheel. It has to do with luring paladin Leroy to the ledge before the drop, and getting him down there to the other side of the arena somehow. When you drop down, he'll two shot PW in a couple of seconds. Forgive my lack of knowledge on the specifics, I'm pretty sure I saw it on a challenge runner's video before.
Pinwheel cheese: Summon Leroy, push him down into the arena, wait for him to walk over to where Pinwheel spawns, he will usually just swing twice and kill him in 2 seconds but there is still a possibility that he will choose to not swing and take longer but still.
That sounds like a real cheese for a boss that I was pretty sure was a cheese just for existing.
I love you how some or most of this is possible because every area is connected to each other
The ladder/Laurentius skip is, I believe, also the earliest you can straight up hardlock your game. If you go on top of the arch that is above the sliding surface in the depths, your character will take on the animation of sliding and be stuck in that.
This means you can’t use any other animations, notably the Darksign. And since it’s a _sliding_ animation, it’s not covered by the failsafe they have for the falling animation.
I have not seen a few of the glitches used this was very creative
one of the best ds1 videos I have ever seen
That was amazing, even till this day I still learn something new from this game
Underrated video. Great job!
Now that was a satisfying grilled cheese sandwhich breakfast, Pinwheel fight had me on my knees
I hear the word cheese everywhere in the community. Someone on reddit said they struggled for 40 attempts on the twin prince's on ds3, until they decided to cheese them on attempt 41. How can you just struggle for so long and then decide you had enough of struggling and just beat a boss when you decided you've had enough? Not including summoning either real people or npc's, what is actually cheesing a boss? People seem to think that the easy way to beat a boss is the cheese way. Imo, there is a hard way (not catering your build to a bosses weakness and/or playing the way you want to play), easy way(catering your build or playstyle to any boss and its weaknesses), and cheese way(insta deaths or positioning where you can't be damaged).
It seems that the community has gotten to a point where bosses have to be incredibly difficult, with multiple phases (i fucking hate multi health bar bosses) to an extent that they could feel impossible to the average souls enjoyer (consort radahn), to be enjoyable, and doing anything the easy way is considered cheesing a boss. It's so elitist, and while i think the community has largely improved in regards to welcoming new players, there still seems to be a toxic narrative around the right way to play.
This video is true cheese. Beating bosses in unintended ways. Rolling behind lorian and hitting lothric with a greatsword isn't cheese.
PCR isnt impossible for a casual. I did it, its just stupidly cheap.
The toxic narrative on "how to play" doesnt seem to have gone down to me, but it could just be me.
For the last comment, do you mean fighting Lothric normally but sticking to his human backpack, or the standing behind during 2nd phase? If the 2nd, that is still a cheese.
True cheese is anything that allows you to beat a boss while interacting with the minimum amount of said boss
Elden ring has a lot of it with shooting bosses from outside the room
If a boss can’t be killed from outside the room, then there is the possibility to do it inside the room without the boss fighting you
Snake femboy with arrows for example
In PTD you can plunge attack firesage from all the way up after quelaag when the elevator is not yet active, just quit and reload repeatedly at the edge of the elevator plate and because it loads after your character you will eventually fall through all the way down the shaft right on top of his head
great vid. amazing game. i didn’t know you can skip the asylum demon, thanks!
BRO WHAT. I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THERE WAS A SAFE SPOT FOR QUEELAG!
It didnt look safe to me but since she staggers if hit in her human form, the area just makes it more consistent. Still a cheese.
@@jaredcrabb I’m just shook I had no idea about that little nook in her arena. Woulda saved 15 y/o me some heart ache for sure
@@Just-a-Dad-tryin I see. I havent played enough to make it there, but Ive seen enough fights that unless you can see her nipples when shes hit I wont be able to beat her myself.
subscribed because that asylum demon skip is crazy
Considering what Beatrice is capable of on her own, that Moonlight Butterfly cheese is the most beautiful one I've ever seen.
2 minutes in and I'm already astounded
9:20 you can also bypass the taurus demon without the master key without glitches or exploits.
1. Go through the new londo ruins until you reach ingward
2. Kill him for his key
3. Open up the gate for the lever
4. Open the floodgates and drain the water
5. Ride the elevator down
6. Exit through the now open floodgates into the valley of drakes
7. Head up to the back entrance of blighttown
8. Continue as you would if you had come here with the master key
Youre welcome!
That sounds like an exploit to me, but still fine as its an intended mechanic, just not intended to be used that way. Like pistol whipping someone. Theyre meant to shoot, not whack. Doesnt mean you cant use it that way. Or something that was overlooked during development. Part of the game whether they like it or not. Glitches dont count as they were not meant to be in the game, but are a result of screwing with code.
@@jaredcrabb nah this seems very intentional. Also, there are no glitches used in this method
This should have way more views very interesting stuff
That iron golem throw into anor londo is actually insane.
There is a sort of cheese for Nito: if you equip both the ring of fog and the slumbering dragon ring, his minions will ignore you as long as you stay close to the landing spot, you can then position yourself in a certain way to have Nito get stuck in a rock while walking towards you and shoot him with arrows. Mind you, it's not consistent at all and he can still hit you with the ground stab attack so dodging is still required. (And a wrong dodge can put in the skeletons' range, causing them to aggro, so you also have to be mindful of that)
The correct answer is none. If you attempt to cheese any bosses Miyazaki will ban you from video game until 2055
50:20 well, the minor cheese for nito could be that you wear the stealth rings and that way only nito aggros, the skeletons stay away. But, with that level of damage it doesn't matter xD
And while it isn't "cheese" per se, Nito's gravelord sword strike has an absurdly specific hitbox, any stance making you split your legs (blocking without moving being the obvious and easiest choice) will cause the sword to burst up between your legs, but not reach your torso, leaving you completely unharmed from one of the harder to avoid attacks in the bossfight.
Harder to avoid? That sounds like the easiest attack in gaming to avoid. Also, that is totally a cheese as the minions are the biggest threat. And also its a cardinal sin for a boss to summon help or heal, as they have WAY more attack and hp than you (normally).
You can use greatbow + hawk ring to kill Gwyndolin without him attacking you if i remember correctly. But other than that, a great video, keep up the good work!
You can. Press Continue or The Backlogs did it.
This is the real extra mature kind of cheese. Always interesting to see all the different ways the game can be completely broken. I know a few of these, but still a lot I didn't which is great!
Number of times I've seen people think cheese means be level 500 using the strongest stuff is far too high. At best that's that horrible squirty cheese they have in America. Not the real thing at all.
Thats not cheese, just optimizing. The squirty cheese is AWESOME!
Thank you. This will be very useful if I ever get trapped within the world of Dark Souls through a dimensional travel mishap.
Great video. Lots of stuff I've never seen before.
The true cheese sor butterfly is to get help from that summon down the stairs of bus fight
36:03 you can cheese the sanctuary guardian by applying the poopwalk method halving the time of your animations and entering the fog gate only halfway, you can kill him with bow and arrows without him noticing while on the fog gate, you can see thjs in ymfahs bow only run
Nice video. You can also cheese Ornstein phase 2 by forcing him to fly over the wall with a grab attack. Just like the centipede demon.
It's the attack he stabs you with the spear and slams your body on the ground.
I appreciate the true asylum demon skip being included. Ive always hated the firebomb quit out method.
You can get big Ornstein to fall through the window with a grab. You can also use hidden body and silence and stuff on Nito to shoot him with arrows from a distance.
Three things to note, one you can get super orinstine to glitch out of bounds and fall off to his death in a similar way to the centipede daemon and pin wheel can be cheesed but cheesing the fight is more difficult than fighting it normally as you need to death cam glitch it, also nito can be cheesed in a similar way. Both require skipping the boss animation.
So the death cam thing makes them not activate ai?
I dont feel those are cheeses as they requires glitches. Exploits are fine, theyre intended mechanics, just not intended for the way they were used.
@@jaredcrabb well it’s not the death cam glitch I miss spoke it dropping into the boss room without triggering the boss. You get out of bounds and then medium load roll to avoid death.
@@Zabzim Still sounds like a glitch to me. But as cheese is a food, the way gamers use it is just opinion.
What do you mean by medium roll?
@@jaredcrabb catalyst did a video on it, if you roll with a specific equip load you’ll be able to avoid fall damage. If you pair it with fall control you can by pass death zones. A mechanic off fall control is that it won’t trigger death zones untill the spell wears off.
@@Zabzim So you mean rolling under a Medium Load then? Thats what I thought but I figured Id ask.
I'm a bit surprised you can't just Artorias snipe Pinwheel by triggering his cutscene, doing the skip and then shooting him from the back of the arena.
People also mentioned pushing Leeroy in and getting him to spawn camp Nito, which IS pretty funny
Unfortunately, Pinwheel is spawned in via cutscene every time you enter his arena. So he won't be there until you enter his arena even if you've seen the cutscene previously.
The dung pie cheese is what Smough deserves
I would argue unless you use an attack in a way the game never intended (circa ocarina of time and the infinite rapid strike), you aren't even cheesing the damage mechanic, just optimizing it.
How do you do the Ocarina of Time infinite rapid strike? I agree, one shotting isnt cheesing, just optimizing.
@@jaredcrabbInfinite sword glitch in OoT is achieved by interrupting a crouch stab.
It's easiest to do with a sign and hitting "read" halfway through the animation. Or, in combat, you can target then c-up halfway through the crouch stab and the navi text for that enemy will interrupt it.
Your sword will start to kinda glow if you get it, and the hitbox for your sword will be active until you swing your sword again.
ISG hits do the same damage as your last attack. A swing with the kokiri sword will result in a 1 damage active hitbox; biggoron sword jump slash would result in an 8 damage hitbox.
now THIS is good content
Watching this for bedtime
The "Victory Achieved" graphic never felt so sarcastic
there is another cheese for Capra. and it´s the same as for O&S. kill the dogs and all Assassin's but one. lure that assassing to the bossfog and barehand crit him while being as close to the fogwall as possible, if the spacing is right the crit animation will push you through the fog far enough to trigger the boss while remaining outside. now you can just kill it from outside completly safe.
I like how the two options for Ornstein & Smough were polar opposites. Option 1: Enter the room without touching the fight trigger and kill Ornstein first. Option 2: Touch the fight trigger without entering the room and kill Smough first.
ah yes, the best game ever made that will never die. legend has it that Oscar is still waiting for us at the end, in a deleted scene
25:07 i love how the Iron golem skip just teleports you lol
Great vid! Thanks for uploading
finally, after 13 years, a dark souls youtuber pronounces “zweihander” correctly
The best bit is when the moonlight butterfly floats down 😆😆
seeing the hydra from that angle reminds me vaguely of the eels swarming that pizza
Great video, I did just want to say though, you can skip Sanctuary Guardian if you allow summoning another player. Not sure if that was against your rules though
It kills me how most of the time learning to cheese a boss is more difficult than actually learning the pattern of their attacks
Just because I haven't seen it in the comments: this was a gouda run
When I first played dark souls, I did so more or less blind, so you can imagine my surprise when the Taurus demon jumped to his death after I had been struggling with him for a while. Still ended up shelving the game for some time (screw you capra demon), only picking it back up after beating Malenia.
Amazing video! I swear there was a cheese for bed of chaos. I distinctly remember watching someone clip through the terrain somewhere in the world above the arena and plunge attack down, killing the bed of chaos. I can't find the video though...
Hey splee I didn’t know you made challenge vids!
Very good video!
Just wanted to add that you can cheese Sanctuary Guardian and Gwyn by poopwalking into their arena and shooting them with your bow.
Also, there is a Pinwheel cheese, it's R1
crazy video man
I think that in Seath’s case, killing him really quickly with crazy damage should count as cheese. Breaking the crystal stuns him, and then he dies before making a single attack, so at no point is he ever able to harm the player
