@@greatconfabulatorI mean that's good since you kinda can just softlock yourself if they didn't respawn I know that exists CoC pact but i bet almost no one would know if they do that
You said that one of the possible requirements to be considered true cheese is for the boss to be harmless to you, and under those rules, the cheese for the Royal Rat Authority is true cheese. After all, the only threat in that fight are the small rats
Yoooo! Happy to contribute to some DS2 content! The pursuer dupe was collaborative effort after I discovered you could spawn a fake Dragonrider in Heides. Then, me Elo and Doom338 figured we could duplicate pursuer too. And current patch partywalk was found by me :) There is an alternative way of doing Attunement glitch on console. I read the title as "How many bosses can you turn into cheese"... I won't lie, I'm disappointed by the lack of polymorphic cheese chicanery. However, this is still a great vid!
I like how most of these cheeses are significantly more difficult than actually doing the bosses in DS2. That you have to do the levels, which are harder than the bosses, to be able to cheese the boss is hilarious.
Right, he looks so awkward, like.... "uhh... I thought you wanted to fight. So uhmmm, I... I am not much of an small talker, if you do not want to fight I will just... leave. If that is ok with you. I love this video. It takes me back to the Lobos challange run days where challenge run videos were more long form and informative than the cheap, click bait they are now.
The tiniest of tweaks but since there was a decent amount of sniping left, Bow of Want might've been a nice upgrade, given you were already on lightning arrows anyway
47:37 I remember seeing this cheese in a video ages ago although with the firestorm spell so it could be done at level 1. I even used it myself on occasion but when I went to look for the video it had disappeared from the internet so I couldn’t share it with other people so I’m thankful I have documented again
I love these videos so, so much - seeing strategies from speedruns applied in niche ways or different glitches alltogether that aren't helpful to speedrunning is really interesting :)
Why does this have less than a few thousand likes? This is literally perfectly formatted! Tells you everything you need, and some thing wayyy in advance. Gives proper information on why something does what it does to glitch in the needed manner, etc.
I'm loving all the creative way to turn the game's peculiar mechanics against it. Great narrative: clear and well-paced ❤ Also, holy s-, the Iron King cheese had me in tears. He looked so embarrassed 😂😂😂
There's also a spell attunement glitch for console but you need the iron keep starting bonfire. You can sit far enough to die whilst in the spell menu and switch out your spell for another (press x as soon as the menu disappears and screen blacks out)
With a well built character and fully upgraded twinblade and a brightbug, I've seen speedrunners take down Ehlana while she's still monologuing. Looks pretty cheesy to me.
Hearing Souls content creators casually talk about the BONKERS glitchs and skips in the games is so weird sometimes (and always fun). Like "yeah, just parry this guy with the camera tilted exactly 76 degrees on the horizontal and then roll three times to appear at the other side of the world". Beautiful.
the skeleton lords fight reminds me of those videos where the camera has been positioned high up and angled just right to make everything look like toys.
the fact vendrick's cheese is still so difficult is maybe the most fitting thing ever for the bulkiest and nost damaging boss in the entire game. ggs tanimura
I remembered two other things:First you can leave Rat Vanguard area by use butterfly jump, through the window and jump onto the hallway, even if you falls into a ditch, soul appease still work. Another thing Ivory king AI broken in current patch is actually exist, you need a player white phantom standing in a very specific position when she came out of the door, I saw it in a video a few years ago, but don't know the details and lost this vedio.
I followed your jump at 2:00 and I literally don't get enough forward momentum to make the jump, I'm running out of effigies :( (Edit: apparently the B button causes you to lose momentum so I swapped to LS and it worked flawlessly)
For Elana, I know it’s possible to completely skip her and get into the small cave before Sinh. It’s done by parry walking, building up speed, grabbing a certain ladder in the pyramid area, and doing the ladder glitch to slide infinitely down into the cave. Would it be possible dark fog her from the cave end this way? The hit box might just be large enough.
She can't be hurt without triggering the fight first unfortunately. It is possible to trigger the fight and get back out of the fog gate; but there's no way to get back up to the ladder used for the skip once you're down there.
The intended cheese for Covetous demon doesn't require a great bow, a normal bow can do it but you have to use iron arrows, and in my most recent playthrough Dark Orb also worked to break the pots, I wouldn't be surprised if a soul arrow or lightning spear also did the trick.
24:00 "Some of you may be wondering about the cheese where you break the jars with the hollows in them, but that requires a greatbow" No it doesn't, it just requires iron arrows.

I'm surprised you didn't mention semi-cheese for Fume Knight, where constantly healing triggers him to attack you, leading to him either delaying or completely ignoring his second phase.
Fume knight CAN be cheesed, only a little. If you keep sipping or healing you'll bait out his overhead slam, which makes it impossible to change phases
Finally, someone who understands actual cheese. I made my username on all games EldenCheese because I loved finding ways to cheese bosses in dark souls... And then, a few years later, they made Elden Ring. I think they stole my name lol
You can prevent the Fume Knight from going into his phase 2 by drinking estus, as he'll prioritise trying to punish you over doing the phase transition. If you time this well between doing attacks, you can kill him without him ever going into phase 2.
Drinking Estus causes him to use the sword slam that gives his sword the empowered look. While that is active, we can't transition. I think it lasts about 20 seconds, so be sure to drink the Estus again before it fades. :)
