So there is an update to overclocking software. You can now go up to 8k HZ. But I tested a PS5 controller on the 2k, 4k, and 8k settings and noticed that the polling rate software only senses that the controller can go up to 2k HZ. TLDR: I tested the updated OC software, 2k Hz is the highest the PS5 controller can handle to be OC'ed.

I know other top youtubers say the xbox remotes get no added benefit but it depends on the quality of the brand obviously. For instance I tested on a MSI MC30 v2 remote and wireless it makes no difference overclocking it keeps on 16ms average but if you use it in wired mode it goes from 4.4ms average to just 1.9ms average. So this is still a win in my books. Tried on a PDP controller which stock is 15ms average and it stayed the same and tried on a generic Ripper controller and only improved that from 5ms to 3ms which is still a win again. I know the Playstation remotes drop to as little as 1ms with this mod for some of them so it's sad that the best I've gotten a Xbox remote to is just under 2ms faster but slower then the PS controller

Finally got around to overclocking my ds4 and dualsense, man its crazy how fast it is now. Took some getting used to the first few games with how responsive it is lol. Thanks Kev, btw DS4 is more comfortable than DS 🤷♂at least for my 18x9cm hands lol

@@Omega_1306 It sounds like the overclock was too aggressive, the controller will act weird if its too high of an overclock. What controller is is? If its an xbox controller don’t go past 500Hz, some xbox controllers wont overclock at all like my Razer Wolverine Ultimate. If its a Playstation controller try plugging in your cable to a different usb port and restart the overclocking process and see if it responds normally. Hope this helps!

It is necessary if you are using Bluetooth.. if the connection is wired then you should just be able to use the overclocking software. I have a ps5 SCUF and I use ds4 and the overclocking software simultaneously

Excellent video. I do have a question though. I was able to successfully overclock my DualSense when connected via USB C cable. However it doesn’t show up in hidusbf while connected via bluetooth. Only my Bluetooth adapter, mouse and keyboard shows up under “all”. Is there some trick to making the DualSense show up as a discrete device that can be overclocked via Bluetooth?
My issue is that when I open up hidusb and hit install for the 1000 polling rate no message pops up for me to click “open.” When I check filter on device, same thing, no message for me to click “open.” Anybody know what I can do? Also, how can I completely wipe hidusb from my computer and maybe try redownloading it?

I would do which ever is getting you the lowest and most consistent results in xinput test. For me I usually don’t notice any difference between 8k and 1

Dumb question, but can you overclock a scuf instinct pro from 125hz to 250hz and still be overclocked if you connect it back to the Xbox console or does overclocking only work when you are connected to a PC? Thanks
so in EAFC 24 when I use it with those OC programs it shows two controllers. PS5 and Xbox controller. It confuses the game that there are two controllers. They are synced when I press buttons. Anybody got a fix for this?

I use Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows wireless mostly and both DS4 and XInput says my delay is around 0.7-1.1 for the most part but for some reason my new controller in particular still seems as if it has a ton of input lag when I play games like Warzone. Could this just be a factory flaw or just simply that the controller is new and I'm used to using a thumbstick that has wear and tear on it

DS4Windows has support for the Switch Pro (now?) Just connected it wired, not tested wireless though. Would love to see that separate video all about the Switch Pro on PC you said you would do here. If it's on your channel I can't find it! You can also overclock BT polling rate directly in DS4 Windows, under edit profile>Other. I did it with my DS4 and it seemed to work when testing. Not sure how it compares to the overclocking software you use though. I do prefer my DS4 is wired though for competitive games, more consistency. Mine using DS4Windows seems to run about 250 Hz wired, I suppose I could use that software to overclock it wired. I turn off BT on my PC and make sure DS4Windows shows the USB icon for the connection. I also use HidHide to avoid any shenanigans with programs or games seeing multiple controllers. So I am trying to overclock my eswap s controller and got the error code when I went to test it. I cant use the fix mentioned in the video because those options for safe boot are not in my bios, im guessing that is because a have a custom built pc? Can anybody help me find another solution

my DualSense won't poll faster than 15ms. I'm on Windows 11 and I even disabled Secure Boot to get the hidusbf driver to install properly with the filter

The jitter on Xbox controller when overclocked grow up a lot, but what jitter to? If I oc my elite2 I go from 0,07 jitter to 1,4 and input delay from 6,9-1200ms range(avg7,8) to 3,5-1799ms range ( 7,9 avg) so it become worst when i try the overclock, is it possible?

Quick question, when you cycle between two of the same controller (scuff reflex) on PC. After doing the first controller once I plug in the second it automatically comes up at 1 and 8000 without doing anything. Should I uncheck the box and select default and re run the three cycles of installs?
can you make a guide on how to overclock a switch pro controller. The software says it should be overclocked but it's not. It's still the same polling of about 15 ms for me
Amazing video! thank you for sharing. Do you see xbox updating their software anytime in the near future so overclocking would be similar to the playstaytion dual sense? Switching over to PC and I have always used an xbox controller but this input delay is a massive advantage when it comes to competitive FPS gaming.
You can just overclock it with hidusbf and close both. DS4 windows is only there so you can use the xinput test it does not need to be opened to play games.
I tried this on an Xbox Elite 2 pad but when I unplug the controller and plug it back in the software can't read it, the lord of mice program highlights it red and the Xinput software says controller cannot be found :(
Go to "Device Manager" then "Uninstall Xbox Controller driver" in "Xbox Peripherals" and click on Action above tab application then click "Scan for hardware changes", Done!. It will restore your controller to default and work normal again.

You can close DS4 and all other programs.

I use Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows wireless mostly and both DS4 and XInput says my delay is around 0.7-1.1 for the most part but for some reason my new controller in particular still seems as if it has a ton of input lag when I play games like Warzone. Could this just be a factory flaw or just simply that the controller is new and I'm used to using a thumbstick that has wear and tear on it
i saw a streamer overlcoked his controler in 2500 hz polling rate so is it availabe because he is using the same app that we use but instead of 1000 hz it's writen 2500 hz
i did the test and poling chech says average 1 ms an 37hz refrech rate ??? how is this possible ?

DS4Windows has support for the Switch Pro (now?) Just connected it wired, not tested wireless though. Would love to see that separate video all about the Switch Pro on PC you said you would do here. If it's on your channel I can't find it!
You can also overclock BT polling rate directly in DS4 Windows, under edit profile>Other. I did it with my DS4 and it seemed to work when testing. Not sure how it compares to the overclocking software you use though. I do prefer my DS4 is wired though for competitive games, more consistency. Mine using DS4Windows seems to run about 250 Hz wired, I suppose I could use that software to overclock it wired.
I turn off BT on my PC and make sure DS4Windows shows the USB icon for the connection.
I also use HidHide to avoid any shenanigans with programs or games seeing multiple controllers.

So I am trying to overclock my eswap s controller and got the error code when I went to test it. I cant use the fix mentioned in the video because those options for safe boot are not in my bios, im guessing that is because a have a custom built pc? Can anybody help me find another solution
would windows 11 be an issue to overclock? i got a brand new pc build which had windows 11 preinstalled and every time i try to overclock my controller i get error 193. supposedly it is because of secure boot but i have no idea how to disable it
my DualSense won't poll faster than 15ms. I'm on Windows 11 and I even disabled Secure Boot to get the hidusbf driver to install properly with the filter

The jitter on Xbox controller when overclocked grow up a lot, but what jitter to? If I oc my elite2 I go from 0,07 jitter to 1,4 and input delay from 6,9-1200ms range(avg7,8) to 3,5-1799ms range ( 7,9 avg) so it become worst when i try the overclock, is it possible?

i tried this but got the red error saying it didnt overclock,i restarted my pc and my mouse and keyboard stopped working,the program messed up my usb ports so i had to do a system restore just to be able to use my pc again
I play with a cheaper xbox controller that I found in gamestop and walmart tried overclocking and it doubled the polling rate from 250 to 500 so I now get 2ms of ionput delay. Just putting this out there for anyone who doesn't want to break the bank on a controller with back paddles the controller that i have is a pdp rematch and I got it for $40 before tax

Quick question, when you cycle between two of the same controller (scuff reflex) on PC. After doing the first controller once I plug in the second it automatically comes up at 1 and 8000 without doing anything. Should I uncheck the box and select default and re run the three cycles of installs?
can you make a guide on how to overclock a switch pro controller. The software says it should be overclocked but it's not. It's still the same polling of about 15 ms for me
Amazing video! thank you for sharing. Do you see xbox updating their software anytime in the near future so overclocking would be similar to the playstaytion dual sense? Switching over to PC and I have always used an xbox controller but this input delay is a massive advantage when it comes to competitive FPS gaming.
Does DS4 windows has to be running on the background.. while you playing games ? Or can you just overclock it with hidu.. git hub and that’s it
You can just overclock it with hidusbf and close both. DS4 windows is only there so you can use the xinput test it does not need to be opened to play games.

I tried this on an Xbox Elite 2 pad but when I unplug the controller and plug it back in the software can't read it, the lord of mice program highlights it red and the Xinput software says controller cannot be found :(
Go to "Device Manager" then "Uninstall Xbox Controller driver" in "Xbox Peripherals" and click on Action above tab application then click "Scan for hardware changes", Done!. It will restore your controller to default and work normal again.
