The reason the first intro was set in Shinjuku is probably because that's where everything began. It's where the Queen Beast fell into our world, where White Chlorination a syndrome began to spread, where Red Eyes began his reign of terror, where the Wall of Jericho went up. It's pretty tied to Nier as a whole.
I thought the queen beast technically fell on tokyo? Granted shinjuku isn't that far away and you can see a giant beast from either city i would imagine lol.
For ED2, I kinda hear 3 distinct voices so that's why I took it to meaning that it's 2B, 9S and A2 conversing their honest deep thoughts. I did not know that Gems Company is a vsinger group set up by Square Enix.
The Ending with the mourning dance was so cool! Each episode I had the feeling that 2B was mourning a different death, be it 9S, herself, or any other side-character that was genocided away in these pointless wars! I was such a good choice!
@@m.m.vidathkeshan7255 sure, but what do you mean by that? I loved that dance because it expressed pure passion - although "passion" sounds wrong when I say it. The german word for passion "Leidenschaft" feels more appropriate. "Leiden" translates directly to "suffer". Leidenschaft would translate to "a state of suffering" - which I think helps to express this dance. It was an act of pure freedom to feel, to grieve, to mourn - to love, to hope, to pray. It served as a little light at the end of each episode of suffering we went trough, because it showed a 2B that was finally free to be true to herself, to her feelings, her passion, her Leidenschaft.
I think the White Box in episode 24 represents her Soul. 9S attempted to delete her Memories, in order to break her, literally hacking into her Blackbox - the place that should be most secure in an android. But then it turns out that there are bonds and experiences that are engrained into her very existance, that can not be taken away from her by any means. The love of her family made her what she is, and she transcended being driven by pure memories, because these memories became her soul. The whitebox - meaning the blackbox within a blackbox - was nothing that 9S could touch, despite his provess in hacking..
exactly. That was her heart or her soul, as you describe it. In order for 9's plan to work, he would have likely had to physically remove and replace her black box. A2 seems immune or highly resistant to even the logic virus, so even that would not have worked to overwrite her being.
Also, these cut scenes you're showing while reciting some text, is it possible to show the entire sentence on the screen too? Along with a tittle. I don't have the same sources of information that you're finding from various places. I get lost in your soothing voice very often in these longer style of content. And maybe this is just me, but if cutscene is not completely related to the text you're talking about, then blur out the background. There was this video about giving background info about the original 9S and 2B that started the cycle, the reciting was sort of related but it played these cutscenes of the modern day clips from the anime. While that's cool and perhaps works for most people looking for a visualization of things you're taking about, there are obviously deviations in your story. That's very trippy for me.... But I didn't say anything due to potential pushback. Nice work with the analysis again, GF
No, don't be afraid to give feedback. I welcome it! I get torn on how to make videos like these like I did with the accord reports. Those videos and this video going over lyrics are challenging to make. So I appreciate all feedback!
This anime deserved about 48 episodes, 24 for each season and more participation from the secondary characters. Emil was left as filler, the twins should be more present and also the Yorha units so that when they get corrupted it is more painful.
ive said it before and i'll say it again. i do not believe the outro with 2b dancing in the moonlight was just an outro. i believe that may have actually happened after seeing that same exact area appear in the last episode. also on a related note, 2b's thoughts in that outro will make you feel horrible on her behalf. hearing that she wanted to die for what she had been forced to do was hard to hear though not entirely unexpected

@@GodFireBreakdowns Shinjuku is a ward of Tokyo
Black Box is so GOOD! Glad I've got Spotify!
Not to mention the dance 2B does on the beach is the same one Zero does in the final song of Drakengard 3
It's similar but I feel like its just a interpretive dance. Not the exact same thing. But also i'm not a professional dancer.

I didn't know this either till i started making this video. lol.

I think it was a nice touch but there can be more to it

I freakin love this! More then my color theme idea 🤣

This show is so awesome. I can’t wait for next week’s episode!
really?
Where are you watching? The show already concluded, once.
The season 2 opening is a banger🔥
agreed!
"Hai to Inori" means "Ashes and Prayers"
Edit: the video itself and the way it is sung sounds almost like a requiem for humanity. It's so beautiful!
