I legit cried through the whole credit while my fingers were suffering if this aint one of the most heart breaking end credit in the history of gaming it better be in the list.
YES! I was already weak from the music and the story. Then the first message of encouragement came. Then several others. Then the realization that other players were SACRIFICING their data for me. It took everything in me to keep it together to make it through.
"GIVE UP HERE?" "DO YOU ACCEPT DEFEAT?" "IS IT ALL POINTLESS?" "DO YOU THINK GAMES ARE SILLY LITTLE THINGS?" "DO YOU ADMIT THERE IS NO MEANING TO THIS WORLD?" "GIVE UP HERE?" "No."
"Do you think games are silly little things?" is, frankly, a terrible thing to ask the player here. It's so pretentious and comes across as "look at us, we've _proved_ video games are art! Aren't you proud of us, gamers?" I enjoyed the game, but damn, that one really drops it a lot of points.
@@brunopagnoncelli975 What is the point, then? I can't think of any other reason to ask that question, especially in a video game that clearly thinks of itself as a work of art, and _especially_ when answering "yes" makes you lose.
If you ever see a save file called "Ninez" With the message "2B and 9S put their lives on the line, just remember, you've got us with you" From the Bunker Just know... That was Kyle and Kira, the voices of 2B and 9S. If you see that, know that 2B and 9S are with you the whole way through.
This ending was beautiful. It’s a rejection of nihilism and an affirmation of absurdist hope by finding meaning in a cold world through shared struggle and perseverance.
@@scary5455 Yes, and Saintsfearful's interpretation is that the song as a whole rejects the theme of nihilism that laid dormant through the entirety of the Nier: - Series. In Replicant/Gestalt the story tells how useless it is to fight against a great perceived evil as its defeat will still not change the end of your culture and world; the interludium between Drakengard and Nier tells a story how useless the struggle agaisnt the White Chlorination was as it managed to infect the entire globe; Automata tells how useless it was to stand against the alien intruders for mankind AND how shallow the alien servitude was. It was all null. Nothing, in vain - the essence of Nihilism. And then there comes this song in with 2B cries in agony how she has the weight of the world on her shoulders *and yet persists* That she longs for the aid for her God to help her carrying the burden and how she needs help and faces so many detriments. That she cannot shoulder the burden o other people's life anymore *and still keeps on going* At the end, only the producers of the song of the one correct interpretation. And I too kyour ragebait and argue with you about a beautiful, touching song in it's most touching and beautiful variant. Do not take pride in this.
I got the platinum today, and as soon as I got it, I replayed the ending. My message was: "Push yourself beyond the limits. In addition, the whole world is rooting for you." I hope that whoever got my help, made good use of it. This game is amazing.
At the very beginning of the game, 2B talks about how she wanted to meet and kill her creator. At the end of the game, you meet and kill the creators. Everything about this game is goddamn amazing.
Also, you choose to kill the creators. In the first four endings, you pretty much just watch them in the roll credits and accepting the fates of A2, 2B, and 9S determined by the creators. The tactical pods accepts their fate and follows through project YorHa by shutting themselves down. But in ending E, pod 042 rejects the androids’ fates set by the creators, and rejects the plan to shut down.
Full circle, baby. But: she wondered if they'll ever get to meet the God who gave them their burden and if they'll ever be able to kill them. And later? Well, dead for over 10.000 years, she was living la Vida lie.
@@juliogomesdesouza9035 it's OK, not all People can relate to some characters. Because doesn' t matter if is in a movie or a cartoon or book, you habe to get reflected in some way with the charácter and the story. If you are here you try the game and that is huge!. Glory to mankind
@@nesoukkefka1741 Oooh, if you read the bible chapter Daniel where he goes on about the statue. You can say the kingdom of God that came into the world is the Grotesque Queen and Caim, then in the end you are killing GOD (the storytellers) after you received the glorious bodies (Androids). There are parallels from religion to psychology to even logic in this game. I have yet to find another series, besides Nission (Monogatari, Katanagatari and Zaregoto) that does this effectively. Taro like nissoin used all the story telling tools possible.
I actually did a school project where the prompt I chose was to present a stance on whether games should be considered art or not. I said they were, and NieR:Automata was one of the games i used as an example.
Seriously? This wasn’t the first time game developers challenged the idea that games aren’t art. Developers have been challenging that notion for decades. That’s like saying “look that guy is walking! That’s the first time anyone attempted to walk! Wow!”
This ending with an enjoyably difficult mini-game, the whole sacrificial assistance from past players, and all three versions of 'The Weight of the World' mixed together made for a most satisfying ending to a very good game.
enjoyably difficult mini-game? wtf it took me hours because the 2nd time i did this i didn't want to use the help... also hearing the music while during it didn't help as i couldn't see the screen well because i cried too much and damn i just got that with the god thanks guys
I'm 3 years late but this past week I finished Nier Automata. When I reached these credits I broke into tears. I cannot describe what this game made me feel. Truly a masterpiece.
I can beat them. I lose a life or two, but I can get past them. It's the goddamned MARKETING DIVISION that keeps soloing me, even at full health that one time. Their minions are so annoying at that stage.
Doodle McFoodle i think i only managed to beat marketing ONCE solo. And then the nexts bosses were easier until the first CEO comes on. That’s when I accepted help (*and seemingly started crying my eyes out*)
Was crying during shooting the first time, after dying each time and clicking no, more tears were streaming out. Once I got the message about, receiving help and heard the extra chorus...I was bawling out ugly crying. Can anyone else relate?
Yeah, what other experience, what other media could come close to this? It is the simplest of shooters, the most basic of game ... and yet, once Irealized that Iplayed with the date of those that came before me, my heart sunk for a moment, and then gratitude, dudy and purpose flooded me, and with tears in my eyes I bate everyone farefell, briefly mourning their loss, but determined to not lose another soul. Gooosh.
I'm not sure if you guys where having a bad time in your lives while playing Nier, but I (not proud of it) was on the brink of suicide last year, the pandemic changed everything in my life and dreams. I gave this game a try to forget everything I could, and on this final sequence I got a catartic moment to not give up on life. People who think games can't be lifesavers are so wrong...
Finished the game this week. Greatest game of all time. 10/10. Completely dethroned what I considered to be the best game for 7 years... this game truly is something else and a big inspiration to other developers for more games to come.
And I agree, it's the best credits sequence in videogame history. When the other languages transition happened, then the chorus... all the meanings surrounding this moment, you are actually playing it... perfection, simple as it is, other kinds of media can't replicate this kind of emotional moment
at first I didn't accept any assistance thinking it would change the ending or something so I spent a good 40 minutes failing over and over again... I gave up and accepted assistance only to realize that it was actually the right way to go and the first thing that caught my attention was the soundtrack, it just made me speechless which led to the decision to sacrifice my save data to help others without any regrets at all because I wanted others to experience this amazing moment. This game is an absolute masterpiece.
same I spent ages refusing to accept assisstance until I got so annoyed with dying that I eventually gave in, made this section way longer that it needs to be.
@@HoangTran-go2hc Actually, I'm pretty sure the first ever saves were from beta-testers and the devs themselves. The voices of 2B and 9S have admitted to inputting their "saves" and a message for the players. They didn't actually beat the game, though. The devs just allowed the members who worked on the project to create "saves"... yeah, in a way, they are fake. But they are still REAL PEOPLE.
11:24 became one of my favourite video game moments ever, all the other datas coming together and how the song turns into a choir, suddenly I wasn't playing the game in my dark bedroom alone anymore, it felt like people from all over the world were cheering me on to beat the game. "Come on, your so close!" "You can do it!" Amazing
Shows how important wordsnof encouragement are. My girlfriend always gives me encouraging words, but nobody else does. Encouragement is extremely overlooked nowadays.
You know a game has achieved the status of masterpiece when after almost 5 years you still have vivid memories of the first time you went through these ending credits. Like, you don’t even remember what you had for breakfast in the morning, but you still think about this specific bit and compare it to every other game you’ve played so far. This is Art, and you’ll never change my mind.
I wonder how the people behind this game aren‘t more famous. THIS is what video games should be... creative, emotional, sad, exciting, amazing... confusing... a true piece of art.
Maybe in the three years since you've posted this, you had your answer, but if you didn't, look up the video "Nier Automata tells the ultimate humanist fable". It is a long essay, very enjoyable actually, and it touches on the inspiration for the ending credits. It's just as powerful.
Yoko Taro thought up this sequence specifically, an was almost shot down when he wanted to add in the devs singing along. When he explained why, though, the other devs were all on board.
"perhaps we now understand that not everything has to have an answer". What a great quote, helped me work through some stuff I was going through. Not everything has an answer, and that's okay.
The ending of final fantasy XIV End Walker is equal to this at least. The ending of 5.3 shadowbringers was also excellent. This was the first awesome ending of a video game of its type to take it to this level of emotion, but final fantasy 14 and their development team are friends with the NieR team
Perfect ending with a final message from the devs: We can't always do everything alone, sometimes accepting/asking for help is the only way forward. And then the invitation to lend a hand to someone else along with some encouraging words. Just perfect.
So im at this moment where i accepted help then got hit three times and this what it said, "2B's Data has been lost" "9S's Data has been lost" "A2's data has been lost" It hit me so hard
You can never experience the true ending of everything being lost and that feeling, unless you gave away your save and watched it all be erased before your eyes....
I declined the help so many times. I was raised to not be a burden on others, and to handle things myself, but I couldn't do it alone. When I finally accepted I needed help, the chorus broke me. The only game, ever, to make me cry and realize it's ok to need help since we're all in this together.
Not only that: You're asked if you want to help other people as well as you got help. You're told, several times, that this will delete your save games and that you might not receive gratitude. That you might help someone you dislike. You won't get a reward But when you agree, you can help other to break the circle. And that's the point when I realized: holy smokes they pulled a religious one on me here. Not abrahamitic, no: Buddhism. You can't leave the circle of life if you don't let go your past. And the world stage singing? Damn, that made me cry.
same with me i tried to do the end credits by myself and it's super hard and then i accepted the help and i realized you cant carry the weight of the world by yourself
wasn't a huge fan of these mini games until this moment, when i realized I had to save everyone, I never tried so hard at a game before and then the impossible segments kept trashing me and i kept seeing all the little support messeges and was "nah, square enix title credit!, I ain't giving up on 2b's ass for anyone!" took about five tries before i got back up from all the true heros who sacrified their save data to get me the rare happy ending in a yoko taro game
To this day, I hope my save file’s ship was able to be part of helping someone overcome the trial of this section as this beautiful song played. It STILL HITS SO HARD, EVEN AFTER 5+ YEARS, and I’m certain it’ll keep doing so!
Videogames are an art form and deliver several art forms. NieR excelled at music. Song of the ancients, snow in summer, grandma, Shadowlord, fortress of lies, weight of the world Those are diamonds
Oh same. I beat this years ago, and I know my save is definitely long gone, but every now and then I remember this, and I sincerely hope I helped someone as much as everyone else helped me
Fucking amazing ending to an amazing game. The joining of the chorus and other player's data to help you was like a literal spirit bomb: "GIVE ME YOUR ENERGY!". Everyone joining together to defeat the big bad credit hell and save 2B and 9S. Especially afterwards, when you find out what those players had to sacrifice in order to help you.
Masibon de ayahuasca You'd think it'd be super sad/frustrating to lose all that time and effort, but it was done in a way that was so satisfactory and without any regrets. You couldn't help but want to help others. The pods thank your one last time, and it fades to the title screen. Excellently done.
I find it beautiful how one of the best sequences if not the best sequence in a video game is a simple arcade 2D battle game, like the kind you'd find during the first video games made. Like a full loop.
I was probably at the lowest point in my life when completing that game: jobless in a 1 room apartment full of roaches during the worst of lockdowns while recovering from a knee surgery and a breakup. I had not allowed myself to cry... until I played that part. I think it cured my soul.
What I love so much about Nier is that it gives you something it doesn't need to give; a happy ending. It could easily end with Route C or D, leave the player feeling sad and empty at the end. Either A2 dies at the hands of 9S, who dies as well, or A2 dies while 9S has little chance of surviving. But it doesn't end like that. The Credits of the game were never the Credits, they were a memory leak the whole time. In this final bullet-hell sequence, you, the player, fix that memory leak as Pod 042. And after you win, if you choose to not save your data, you get your happy ending. 2B, A2, and 9S are all rebuilt with their memories intact. They let you have a happy ending, and thats amazing because no one else would give you one. Nier:A was content to rip out your heart time and time again, but unlike something akin to Dark Souls, it doesn't leave on a sad note or leave you with a feeling of emptiness inside, it gives you one last shot, one final boss to fight, and if and when you succeed, it gives you something very few games of this emotional caliber will give you. Closure.
As a minor note, you don't have to sacrifice your data to get the happy ending. That part is entirely optional if you want to help someone else playing the game to finish ending E all the way through.
Album Interpretations The thing is, when you start a new game, save file deleted or not, the androids and everyone else go through the same moments. They're suffering again and again and again.
"We are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. Is this a curse? Or some kind of punishment? I often think about the god who blessed us with this cryptic puzzle...and wonder if we'll ever get the chance to kill him." < Only after you beat the game do you realize this is a 4th wall break.
I was grieving midway through this because I thought if I failed, I wouldn't be able to save my beloved androids and so, losing my data. it was so frustrating. after I got help from players, I found myself muttering "I'm sorry " for every single data loss, went full Canadian there. needless to say. Nier Automata us one of the best games ever made. Such a powerful Ending. 🖤
I know how you feel.. I was in voice while playing the ending and others asked me if I really apologized for getting hit and deleting those peoples data ... one of the greatest endings ever
I also felt a sting each time one of them took a hit for me, but I remind myself that I'm honoring their wish by letting their sacrifice be completed. It feels like i'm laying their save files to rest, they can be happy for they have fulfilled their purpose now
Every time someone accidentally died, i felt so bad. Each person who deleted their data to help me and i couldn't keep them alive. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing by sacrificing their data, so others could beat this and see the ending to this masterpiece in video game form. It's nice to know that no matter the hardships, some people out there are willing to make the sacrifice for a total stranger, even someone who they might hate. In the end, the game taught me, and I'm sure others, that no matter the hardships, there are people out there who are willing to help us carry the "weight of the world".
To all 20 save data lost helping me to reach the end, you are the hero. I'm sorry that I could only remember some of you during my battle. Dan, Pascal, Cygnus, Vel, Izumi. I actually screenshot the message part so that I will remember some of you but alas, some of you are not recorded in the message part. Whoever you are, you have my thanks. And to future player, "Feel like running away? Don't make excuses; survive!" YorHa.Gen2-B
guess i will have to start up OBS then to record that stuff then. damn, i am somehow reluctant to play this game, been pushing it away for 3 years now 😅
That or only character data (like at the end of this video: "2B data is lost") were there to help. After all, players are not the only ones fighting in this story...But it sure may have been a unique moment compared to now, litterally, to see only NPCs (and who knows, even random remaining ennemies) names appear.
@@Eclypsia13 That makes me wonder what happens if someone play offline after downloading and having the game up to date (if the game allows it, I still didn't played Automata). Maybe it's possible to recreate that unique moment and see character's quotes (or even recorded game's staff messages) that are now under the flood of player's messages.

So I reached ending E, but, this was my second time, I already sacrificed one save, Sush, but I wanted to go through it again. And when I reached the credits, there it was, 2 names Sush and TonyStark I ended up losing Stark at the very end but I saved Sush, my past self saved me with the help of Stark, rest in peace 3000
I guess it all boils down to a single moment in our lives in which we have to decide to preserve our identities and selves or just surrender everything for the sake of others... -ShonenSamurai.
I think the core value is that the only way to give a sense to this life is by taking part to the humankind enterprise, which is accomplished by being thankful to those who were and by giving it all to those who will come, it all cannot be achieved without us truly expressing ourselves. It takes the thesis “me”, the antithesis “you” and gives back the synthesis “us”
1 month ago I carried that weight, alone. I wanted to ask for help so many times, but I couldn't (very slow internet in my country). Despite that, I persisted, playing this segment for hours upon hours until finally, I bested it. I can say with pride that this game has helped me mentally, and emotionally as someone who struggles to think optimistically, giving up before really even trying. Playing this game, I learnt to have compassion for others, regardless of who they are because everyone is fighting for something or someone. I learnt to cherish my friends and family, because even though we won't always be together, the memories we share will last for a lifetime. And most importantly, I learnt that I should not just live for myself, living for others and seeing them smile gave more meaning to my life. After finishing this game I did some serious introspection, now from a couch potato I am more active than ever (hitting the gym), studying harder than ever (I major in Computer Science), and now I have a dream of my own. I hope to one day create something that can have an impact on people the same way this game did for me. From the scenery to the OSTs, this game was just absolutely compelling. It was truly an honor to play this masterpiece, Thank you to the creators for the amazing game.
Hearing your story, I have to think about the words of Pod 042: "A future is not given to you. It is something you must take for yourself." How true! You can do this, and ask for help if you need some. We all rooting for you :). Good greetings from a german guy who also finished Nier a couple of days ago
Ah geez, I teared up a bit. Thanks for sharing, friend, it makes me happy to know that video games can be as inspiring as books, film, music and other media.
One year after beating this, I still sob and tear a little whenever I listen to this song or/and read the comments of all of you guys. This game has been a masterpiece for me and the best game I've ever experienced in my 25 years. Never thought It would be possible to reach these levels of emotion and make the player feel like he/she's connected to the world that can be carried with the help of everyone! Yoko Taro, you madman, you absolute madman!
Here's to you, Luna. Whoever you were, I couldn't have made it through without your help and sacrifice. A genuine 11/10 experience. I can only hope that my data helps someone else when they need it most. Ending E is genuinely beautiful.
11:21 Just beat this game on switch last month, and boy, what comes after this moment made some ending credits such a heart warming and epic experience.
It really feels like the ending for this game lets you put into perspective that we are all leading to end of our own story, but at the same time we are not alone...we're all headed to The End...together...
If a game about red circles can make you cry, give you an existential crisis, and eventually make you appreciate life even more, that's a damn good game
It's been 7 years, it still hit as hard as the first time. Best videogame of all time, and probably, the best ending in any piece of media ever. F'cking Yoko Taro dude, casually making a grown man cry. Talk about a true genius.
For those who don't get why people are reacting to this this way, and the significance of sacrificing save data, here's the only way I can describe this moment: You remember in Dragon Ball Z, when everyone on earth sends Goku their energy/hope so he can make the Spirit Bomb and save the world? This is that, in video game form. And you, the player, are Goku.
i'm also reminded of the final stretch of the last battle in earthbound. the truth is, all the mother/earthbound final battles are non-aggressive in some way. but earthbound specifically, you're praying for help from the outside world. so many NPC's are praying for the success of ness and his friends. and in the end, when things are really looking grim, it's you yourself as the player giving that one final push for success.
When I started this game, I was going through a dreadful depression. I felt defeated, like life truly was my enemy, and I was paying some kind of price for being imperfect. In each play through, I saw so much of myself in everybody, even the Pods. I conceal so much, like 2B conceals how she cares for 9S. I feel overlooked like 9S often is, so I fully understood his madness. And I’ve felt isolated and cold like A2. By finishing the main endings and getting E, I was sobbing during the bullet hell sequence. Like I was being given a second chance. I was determined to finish the bullet hell sequence, to prove to myself that I was capable bettering myself. Then I got the rescue offer, and I bawled. The chorus of people I don’t even know supporting me made me felt like I could open up again. After finishing this game, I 100% deleted my save data to help a stranger. Even if they don’t meet me, I want somebody else to heal like this game has healed me. I put the game down with a fresh perspective. I’m determined to change the outcome of my life. Like Pod 042 said: “A future is not given to you. It is something you must take for yourself.”
yoko taro refuses to end his games normally. he always pulls this kinda stuff and it's always amazing. the greatest ending to any game ever. a life changing event that gives meaning to the meaningless. glory to mankind.
"you're thinking about giving now huh? If that's the case, I'll help you" -Mars. We may never meet. You may never even know I existed. But just know, fellow Player. I'll be there with you. To help you. As many times as it takes
Not a nier player but this embodies my style of play i love being a support and even if I get nothing from it or I would be betrayed I still will help.
one of the best ending sequence in YEARS, if not EVER... god the mini game, the music.. the saves delete to help other players and the pods gaining consciousness and feelings. Yoko Taro u r a fucking genius. those emotions just kept hitting me waves by waves when i was playing this. def one of the most memorable endings... if not game i have ever experienced. if u are an rpg fan and u not playing this game u r missing out.. It's a literal fight facing against death and unbeatable odds. Standing alone, we are but one person, a tiny speck of dust on this planet, but when we work together, stand together as brothers and sisters, we can do anything. We can even overcome the toughest obstacles and our fear of death.
I was 35 when this game came out and was moved to tears when I reached this ending, I had never experienced something like it and haven’t again since. Masterpiece.
I tried to solo this 50+ times before I realized it's okay to stop, breathe in and ask for and accept help. We're not meant to truck through life alone, it took me a fucking video game to realize this. We all need help, and it's ok to ask for it
Deleting your save data to help others is the true ending. Why? Because this breaks the perpetual cycle 2B mentioned. By finishing the game, AND fighting for the androids (we as pods) and lastly deleting our save data. We break the cycle. Now 2B, 9S, A2 are not bound to the story of the repeating loops that we play. They live in their own world which we fought for together :)
Jesus christ this game had me crying like a child, and not Hollywood beautiful crying, i mean full on running snot and red faced bawling. This game is easily one of the greatest pieces of art that i have ever enjoyed.
even just watching the vid brings me to tears all over again. one of the most beautiful moments in gaming history, especially once the chorus kicks in.
It's been almost 4 years, but still come back to watch this scene again. There's just so many details packed into ending. The song, the chorus, the increase in numbers of messages in various languages left by other players around the world as you keep trying is astounding. It lets the player know that he/she is not alone in this fight, despite this being a singe-player game. That empowering feeling when you are joined by other players...The bitter feeling when someone sacrifice their data to take a bullet for you...Who would've thought that credit scene could be so epic, so moving. Usually, when the credit ends, I would think "Well, another game finished.", but this one just left me keep rethinking about the ending. This game is truly one of a kind.
On New Year's Eve from 2025 I finally reach the E ending and it has been one of the most emotional experiences I have had in life, my heart was shaken when I received help from a comrade from New Zealand (I am from Mexico), with a experience like this, how can I not let go of my 99 hours of gaming? really hope that one day my message reaches someone else...
Just a thought: I think I'm not mistaken when I say that most of the comments in this section and likes on this video made the sacrifice at the end that let us finish the game. Thanks to all of you.
The weight of world isn't heavy if we're all here to carry it with you together.

still heavy still trying to best E on SOLO XD
I wish everyone could understand this.

This ending was beautiful. It’s a rejection of nihilism and an affirmation of absurdist hope by finding meaning in a cold world through shared struggle and perseverance.

I don't like how people asserting has only 1 valid interpretation. There are other interpretations that make sense.
@@scary5455 …okay?
That she cannot shoulder the burden o other people's life anymore *and still keeps on going*
At the end, only the producers of the song of the one correct interpretation.

There are parallels from religion to psychology to even logic in this game. I have yet to find another series, besides Nission (Monogatari, Katanagatari and Zaregoto) that does this effectively. I have to agree
The devs actually challenged the idea that games aren't art, they ask the player "do you think games are silly little things?" Hats off to the devs!
A 100 years later this game will be remembered as a modern classics, textbook material in schools.
Game: Do you think games are silly little things?
Me with tears streaming down my face: What the hell kind of question is that!?
I've never been moved by a movie the way I've been moved by this game.
I think you forgot the part where you finally shoot the gods.
TalDSruler OH MY GOD I JUST GOT THAT!
I figured the whole idea is the player(s) are fighting the devs for a happy ending. Yoko is famous for his sad ending.

This game is an absolute masterpiece.
Thanks for your sacrifice!!! ^_^

How did the first players beat it if there were no sacrifices?
@@HoangTran-go2hc
Actually, I'm pretty sure the first ever saves were from beta-testers and the devs themselves.
"Come on, your so close!"
"You can do it!"
Amazing
A thousand times this.
It's even more beautiful when you learn the choir is actually the devs team, they are litterally cheering you to finish their game.
Whoever thought of this idea is a god damn genius. Emotional, impactful and meaningful.
I wonder how the people behind this game aren‘t more famous. THIS is what video games should be... creative, emotional, sad, exciting, amazing... confusing... a true piece of art.
Yep, the change of languages, then the chorus, everything mix together so well to send the message
Same here.

KNEE SURGERY?
This is true. I kept my Data because I am selfish.
Album Interpretations honestly after finishing the original nier I would be broken if this one didn't have some kind of closure
Len XIV I did the same I felt bad
And it is one on the greatest game I've played
And to future player,
"Feel like running away? Don't make excuses; survive!" YorHa.Gen2-B
its been 3 years, and this game still hits hard

I think the core value is that the only way to give a sense to this life is by taking part to the humankind enterprise, which is accomplished by being thankful to those who were and by giving it all to those who will come, it all cannot be achieved without us truly expressing ourselves. It takes the thesis “me”, the antithesis “you” and gives back the synthesis “us”

Same for me. We are here to carry the weight of the world, together!
I hope your dream Will come true someday!
Glory to mankind
11:21 Just beat this game on switch last month, and boy, what comes after this moment made some ending credits such a heart warming and epic experience.

_____'S DATA HAS BEEN LOST
I went through the entire segment fighting tears and with shivers. I just.
Fuck this series.
Mate don't talk, you know you love it to bits
It really feels like the ending for this game lets you put into perspective that we are all leading to end of our own story, but at the same time we are not alone...we're all headed to The End...together...
this ending still gets me, You are literally fighting against the end credits just to make sure your characters get revived.
"FUCK YOU TARO, I'LL GIVE THEM A HAPPY ENDING MYSELF!"
Its like fighting against God.
You're fighting the devs to get what you want so much.
@@pixy8897 I feel like the help came a little too soon for me. I still had much more in me to keep on trying.
Someone - Who is the hardest boss you've ever killed?
Me - Business division VI
Someone - What do you mean?
Me - You wouldn't understand...
"So you're an Automata fan? Name every boss"
Starts typing the entire credits section
I sacrificed my data.
never forget, we'll always be with you
Thank you so much... I do the same...
i'm 2 endings away from completing my 100 % run, and you betcha i'm gonna do the same
The melody, the lyrics, the questions, the helps, the choir, this humanism: what a beauty.
An incredible job Mr. Taro
If a game about red circles can make you cry, give you an existential crisis, and eventually make you appreciate life even more, that's a damn good game
Nearly seven years later, and this ending still brings ne to tears.
for some reason hearing all the voices singing in the background after receiving help makes me want to cry, this game is just amazing
3 years later, still makes me cry. So beautiful.
Glory to mankind
Glory to mankind!
It's been 7 years, it still hit as hard as the first time. Best videogame of all time, and probably, the best ending in any piece of media ever.
F'cking Yoko Taro dude, casually making a grown man cry. Talk about a true genius.
Glory to mankind
For those who don't get why people are reacting to this this way, and the significance of sacrificing save data, here's the only way I can describe this moment: You remember in Dragon Ball Z, when everyone on earth sends Goku their energy/hope so he can make the Spirit Bomb and save the world?
This is that, in video game form. And you, the player, are Goku.
Nerd to the Third Power This is actually extremely accurate
The player is also the world.
And we few, whose sacrificed everithing are the ones that believe in you
i'm also reminded of the final stretch of the last battle in earthbound.
the truth is, all the mother/earthbound final battles are non-aggressive in some way. but earthbound specifically, you're praying for help from the outside world. so many NPC's are praying for the success of ness and his friends. and in the end, when things are really looking grim, it's you yourself as the player giving that one final push for success.
Except Goku's a jerk. :P
This game has a special place in my heart
To this day nothing has been a more beautiful moment for me. Thank you to all who helped me.
Glory to mankind
Hug your love ones every time you see them and tell them soo

First time you notice Pod speaking in first person:
"Hold up"
Keiichi okabe and yoko taro really were like:
"So you want them to cry over red circles?"
"*Yös*"
Like Pod 042 said:
“A future is not given to you. It is something you must take for yourself.”
I dont think that it healed me, it made me question existence even more. Ending was great, but 1 week later i felt like trash.
yoko taro refuses to end his games normally. he always pulls this kinda stuff and it's always amazing. the greatest ending to any game ever. a life changing event that gives meaning to the meaningless.
glory to mankind.

Glory to mankind
one of the best ending sequence in YEARS, if not EVER... god the mini game, the music.. the saves delete to help other players and the pods gaining consciousness and feelings. Yoko Taro u r a fucking genius. those emotions just kept hitting me waves by waves when i was playing this. def one of the most memorable endings... if not game i have ever experienced. if u are an rpg fan and u not playing this game u r missing out.. HARD
Glory to mankind
im 34 and cried there like a kid too.
My god the chills that took over my body when the choir pulled up was insane
It's funny how we can't even read the names while shooting but we are never going to forget these credits at the same time.
I tried to solo this 50+ times before I realized it's okay to stop, breathe in and ask for and accept help. We're not meant to truck through life alone, it took me a fucking video game to realize this. We all need help, and it's ok to ask for it
Glory to mankind
Humanity strives when united, not divided.
The best credits for a game. This game is legendary I cried a least 3 times
even just watching the vid brings me to tears all over again. one of the most beautiful moments in gaming history, especially once the chorus kicks in.
And this is where I cry
The choir rising up is the moment for me.
this where real men cries....
this is where we all cry brother
When you see your name and message in the “don’t give up section” of someone else’s play through.
Tears TT
Glory to mankind

Just a thought: I think I'm not mistaken when I say that most of the comments in this section and likes on this video made the sacrifice at the end that let us finish the game.
Thanks to all of you.
