Jim, I don't work with wood, and I know so little about woodturning. I watch this channel because watching woodturning is very relaxing for me. I come back to your channel so much more than other woodworkers because your passion for what you do is infectious. I feel a great appreciation for the when you leave in the errors and work around them. It's a reminder that mistakes aren't the end, they are what make you better at what you do. You're absolutely right, you can't go wrong with walnut and cherry. Another amazing piece and although I love the epoxy it's always nice to see some 'traditional' turning especially when it turns out like this.

This bowl turned out beautifully. I believe that bowl was sitting around waiting for you to choose the right wood for it’s top. Oh my stars, that cherry is just gorgeous. The figures in the chatoyance are amazing--almost like vertical tiger stripes. The inlay turned out beautifully. All in all, just wonderful bowl! Thank you, Jim!

OMG! That is ONE GORGEOUS BOWL!! I love the color contrast of the 2 woods and the extra touch of the added M.O.P. inlay was a perfect touch! The luster of the cherry makes the bowl seem like its glowing. I LOVE it!

Fabulous bowl, Jim. The way the 2 colours of wood work together is perfect and the MoP inlay really sets it off.
BTW... Don't sell yourself short, man! You may not get to 1 million subs, but if you can get to 100k in 3 years there's no reason why you can't get to 200 or even 250k. There are now more of us who subscribe, comment and share every week so you may well see a faster increase in subs! Regardless, you've reached a major landmark, so CONGRATULATIONS!!

That compression grain chatoyancy is pretty darn awesome! The overall shape of bowl with the lid goes together really well, and for sure the inlay just sparks against the walnut. Love this project
