Man I had to do everything you could possibly imagine to get 602rwhp out of my 2003 2v. Built motor, ported heads, supercharger, stage 3 cams, full exhaust, name it it was done to my car. Literally everything! I built that car after my supercharged 94 5.0. Now I have a 13 coyote that makes 711rwhp and all that’s done is a supercharger, pulley, oil pump and crank gears, and a cat back. My 94 supercharged 5.0 made 349 with just the blower. I have a couple videos on my channel. Beautiful car man! Change those tail lights or sell it and buy a gen 1 coyote. My coyote is my favorite car ever. When it was bone stock I enjoyed it more then my 03 Gt

Seen your video with the cams actually! Car sounded awesome!! Currently been dailying this mustang, just a little cruiser that I have fun with. I've never actually built anything like this before so its all a first for me. 13-14 is my favourite coyote body style so if I ever have to get anything else it would probably be one of those.

The new 5.0’s benefit from the stock 300CFM head flow, compression, & VVT. Not going to mention the 4valve design because it’s not as important.
You mentioned the 600hp in your gt, the power you make is completely dependent upon the CFM flow of your boost maker. A 700hp turbo will make 700hp, and the same Engine with more N.A. power will also make 700hp, but way more efficiently with less boost. All the other parts you add helped by making less restrictions for your boost.

    • @midnight347

The miles don't make a whole lot of difference as long as the engine is in good running order and runs properly. I've seen many high mileage engines make basically the exact same power low mile engines do. No reason for it to dyno significantly less because it has higher miles unless there's something wrong with the car.

What did you use to film? I've been thinking about filming my dyno pulls after I break-in my engine, wasn't sure a cellphone would pick up the audio well. I'm cautiously optimistic I will get 300whp with my rebuild. I did 73mm TB/Plenum, CAI, 30lb injectors, MHS stage 2 cams, and upped the compression to around 10:1 with 12cc pistons. Car had 4:10 gears already.

Man you should be getting way more, my 98 gt with bolt on only got 260hp 300lbs torque, I just did a complete rebuild on it with built PI heads stage 3 cams with all the bolt on, hoping to break over 300hp. Great video keep up the build

    • @infernoauto

260hp with bolt ons is pretty average. Stage 3s are pretty aggressive especially for a street application I find but the gains will be slightly better than the stage 2 comps that I have I think. Cams in general don't give crazy horse numbers on this car from what I noticed. However these things do dyno stock 220-230whp. Another owner local to me mentioned something about us not being at a good sea level for this kind of stuff which isn't something you'd really think about.. all together I think multiple factors played a role in what #s in put out. Feels like 300whp to me! Lol

A stock NPI 2V puts down 180-190whp, so you're telling me you got 70-80whp out of bolt ons on crappy NPI heads? Sounds like your dyno operator had the correction factors way off to boost peoples egos.

Stock I remember they were rated around 260hp at the flywheel. And drivetrain loss probably 8-10% so lucky to get 245rwhp. To get to 300HP to the wheel you have to do quite a bit with bolt ons. I wouldn’t be upset with those numbers. These engines just don’t perform all that well compared to other platforms with basic bolt-ons. They have great potential with boost but even with a built 4.6, high compression, and ported heads/cams 400hp N/A to the tire is a struggle. If you can swing it, boost it.
