I don't understand how people think the 2v isn't worth the time or money the block can handle 1000hp the rods break at 600hp the crank at 700hp. For a cheap motor originally from a family car in the 90s I can't complain

There have been 10 second 2vs with 360 whp it's all in the suspension. Look at the steeda 18 or 19 gt. It just has a converter, full suspension, full exhaust cai tb and e85. The motor is still not opened.

Steedas is doing low 10z with around 500 due to some weight savings plus the et killing 10r80 it has. I mean killing as in very good not killing as in bad lol. This car could go deeper into the 10s with more suspension peices and some more weight reduction mods. I like this build because it shows people you can go 10s without having 700 whp.
Andrew, you just proven what 2V-Mustang enthusiasts been doing literally for years. These engines are stout with moderate boost and good up keep. I may be getting dicey with this statement but I bet its faster than the 13/14 GT500 in the 1/4th.
It's close actually the trap speed is very similar maybe slightly more it would be a good run with a stock 13 gt500 prob a drivers race this car would have the advantage from a dig obviously.
We had a fox that went 10.97 with only 385 rwhp, and an SN95 that went 9.87 with 535 rwhp. You don't need huge power to go fast, just need a good setup. Love the channel. That Bullitt would be a riot wit a little better top end power.

Most importantly, you need TRACTION to go fast. The turbo gives you very manageable power that doesnt blow all the rubber off. I can barely find grip on my 4.6 NA setup it's got plenty of torque to get you there.

Good stuff, investment in a set of drag suspension is important, as you can see your stock sway bar is suffering on that 10.9 linch, and you are all over the place.

That's the main reason you have so many notchback foxes getting chopped and used for dragsters - I wish I could find a stock one to just put bolt ons for the 302 with the T5 transmission and have fun with... But they are flying up in price because they are so lightweight and they are just simply fantastic for track use.

Yep and it's probably a little worse at 1/4 of a tank because of tires on back or up a bit in the nose is pointing down so when you have a 1/4 of tank is probably less so it's going to starter cuz that ass is up a bit

The issue is heat ,,, the 4.6l gets hot very very fast mmmmmmmm .... I have nothing but a 75mm intake .. headers and you run it a little hard gets hot super fast without a turbo .. put a coyote in it used motors under 2k .. 400 hp stock no stress

Yea it has alot to do with the turbo too its got loads of torque and way less hp because its a smallish not very efficient turbo but it works enough to get into the 10s obviously. Much less weight than newer mustangs helps. I love how it shows you can go 10s without having a million hp everyone is so fixated on big dyno numbers these days they act like 400 aint nothing but in the right car on the right setup it can do pretty damn good.
Just watched video and I see there are a lot of 1320 guys watching. Put a Lentech auto in it and it should go mid 10's. I've gone 10.42 at 132 mph at 3500 lbs and 435 to the wheels and 9.50 at 140 mph with 575 hp. In case you're wondering 1320 guys are the ones who think you need 1000 hp to go 10's
From what I heard you can get these kind of numbers with no power adder if you take an early 4.6 non Pi short block up to 98 and then take a 99 and up Pi (Power Improved) heads and intake and bolting them on the non Pi shortblock and get right about 400 hp.any info on this?
@@karlhopkins713 2 generous.. I had a 02 Saleen. Car only had 30k miles on it so barely broke in. Did heads, stage 3 cams and intake and only seen 320 on a happy dyno. 350+ is a stretch with just basic bolt on's. Not saying it cant be done, but its going to take some work.

I am running 2004 Mustang Gt 426hp/ 512 tq, full on3 performance 76mm turbo, stock motor, 9lbs boost, PP intake manifold, 60lb injectors, ngk tr6 plugs, pmas maf, returnless fuel rail on 93 octane, msd coil pack, egr delete, pprv delete.

That torque from the turbo is why many guys say go cenri if you sticking with the stock bottom end.

Should be around 428hp if you do the math at 12 psi. Not counting better engine efficiency or drive train loss... let them even each other out.

Weight to Horsepower Ratio Guys.
From what I heard you can get these kind of numbers with no power adder if you take an early 4.6 non Pi short block up to 98 and then take a 99 and up Pi (Power Improved) heads and intake and bolting them on the non Pi shortblock and get right about 400 hp.any info on this?
Donald Erdbrink 300rwhp is possible with that setup not 400. That setup bumps up the compression to make more power.

@@karlhopkins713 2 generous.. I had a 02 Saleen. Car only had 30k miles on it so barely broke in. Did heads, stage 3 cams and intake and only seen 320 on a happy dyno. 350+ is a stretch with just basic bolt on's. Not saying it cant be done, but its going to take some work.
