Might got Covid in March, really mild symptoms. Start losing my hair since April, lost almost half of my beautiful black hair. still hopeful, taking multivitamins, especially Vitamin D to strength my immune system. Whoever experiencing this horrible disease, you are not alone. 😥😟😥😥
This is not a natural thing. I had covid last August and lost half of my hair from September - December. It has FINALLY gotten back to its full state, but wow. I've had worse symptoms from the flu and didn't lost any hair. This is something else.

Same thing happened to me! I am male and got covid this September. Started losing my hair a week ago and I don’t have much to spare. My barber was shocked at how much hair I lost during one hair treatment and he was too scared to trim my hair!😢 Now I am afraid to wash my hair as I can get over 50 strands of hair on my hand with one wash! Totally devastated and depressed.
Sounds wild but trust me - onion juice. Literally blend some onions and spray that crap directly onto your scalp for 30 mins - 1 hour before you wash your hair. Try to do this 2x per week. Rinse with cool water first to minimise the smell/onion oil activating and sticking to your strands but it works. It's anti fungal and anti bacterial, encourages a healthy scalp etc. Try it for a month and let me know. The juice can last for up to a week in the fridge.
I had it in august then slowly started noticing it, but 3 months after it I really noticed it and the doctor thinks it’s natural male baldness but I doubt it… weird seeing yourself change I never expected it but at least it’s just hair

This looks like the exact road I'm on. I have 4c texture medium thickness hair that's a bit past my shoulders. Had COVID mid to late July 2022, the last three times I've washed my hair I'm losing a good handful of hair. I want to cry, I feel like I need vto just cut it all off.☹️
The same thing happened to me. I did Biotin, scalp scrub, hair massager and a good profesional shampoo. Also omega rich foods, protein and low carb. Also rosemary and I now have many baby hairs growing. Also very important a good professional shampoo not one from the stores but from a salon. I tried to switch to something more affordable and started to loose hair again, lost quite a bit of baby hairs. Now back to using professional shampoo for anti hair loss.
I love how they say it will get better…which it does eventually. But the problem is, as soon as it stops falling out and your hair slowly grows back (which can take a year) ur most likely going to get Covid again. Which happened to me 3 months ago and here I am again, my hair falling out in clumps in the shower. It’s going to be a never ending cycle.. 😭 my hair will never be long again at this rate.
This is the whole problem. I’ve been getting covid once a year since 2020. I got it four times already and I never can recover my hair. When it starts recovering, I get covid again and my hair gets worse each time. :(
Lost all my hair due to Covid.. I cried so much , I mourned the loss of my hair . Never had hair shorter than shoulder length and now I’m learning how to deal with the length I have and I literally have no clue what to do with it at all.

So glad I saw this GMA post! I have been suffering with covid hair loss for a year! My hair curly just like the girl in the vid. I got covid first time Christmas ‘21. Hair started coming out and just lifeless, not usual fluffy curls about one month later. Just kept progressing. Even my beautician was stumped because nothing was helping. Seemed to be getting better like start of summer. Got covid again Fourth of July time ‘22. And it has started all over again 😩. I did finally go to the dermatologist january ‘23. Who said all these same things. And said it’s a waiting game for it to go away. I have upped my vit d in my multivitamin at the docs suggestion to 2000iu/day in the morning. Biotin at before bedtime. And collagen powder supplement in the morning. Olaplex treatments with my beautician twice a month. I pretty much exclusively now go to her just for a wash and deep condition twice a month just to limit my stress with seeing my hair coming out when I wash it myself. No flat ironing. Just 🤞🏽 my fingers this ends soon 😔 I really want my curls back to get married with my natural hair.
I had Covid multiple times, has 2 shots, but since the 2nd to last time, months after I felt better the top of my hair started to thin, out of the shower I could actually see a lot of my scalp more but to this day the top of my hair has come back a bit thicker but still not fully to where it was. But I’m working hard to get it back to where it once was
I talked to my PCP and my derm and they honestly haven't done much for me. My derm told me to download the Calm app and not stress and that she can't do anything for me. Honestly I've found all the doctors that I've seen over the last few years don't really care about your symptoms unless you are dying. I wish they'd at least try to help me by doing some testing. I'm losing 500-600 hairs each time I wash. Its a much bigger ball of hair than what they showed in the video in the girl's hand. It seriously breaks my heart. It is really hard to stay positive and just not worry about it. I've always lost a lot of hair due to it being long and tangly and probably because I have hypothyroidism, but this is a whole new level. Oh and my PCP says my hair loss has nothing to do with my thyroid because my tsh lab is in range. Maybe she is correct, I just wish she would at least try to help a little bit.

I lost half of my hair approximately 2 months after having CV. I kept the hair in a bag just to keep track of how much hair was actually falling out. By the time it stopped, the ball of hair was the size of a soccer ball. After doing my own research and speaking to others with the same issue (not CV related for them) I was told to try seamoss. It saved me; within one week my hair stopped falling out. Three months later, I'm still consuming seamoss, and my hair is still in good shape. No more scares. I even had a hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy due to a Gardasil injury shortly after my hair stopped falling out, and it remained stable (didn't lose any more hair even after being pushed into menopause) Just throwing it out there for anyone suffering, as I know how terrifying it can be. I had this side effect as well. I thought it was from the shock and stress of covid lockdown. My hair is similar to the curly hair’d girl in this video, I don’t dye it or straighten it, it’s extremely healthy. and I also was crying in the shower. About a month to month and half after recovering covid I noticed two bald patches on my beard. The condition is called alopecia barbe which is cause by immune system attacking hair follicles. I had 3 moderna vaccines. I have feeling that covid along with over reaction from mrna vaccine is triggering the auto immune response causing my condition. Did anyone else had covid vaccine and got bald patches on beard?
I hope she wasn’t also using devacurl hair product because I had hairloss from that and just as it was growing back then I got Covid and it fell out again…
Both me and a coworker used ArtemiC Rescue when we had COVID-19, we were both well again within 3 days. And recently somebody in the house tested positive. I immediately started using the ArtemiC Support serum one drop per day and I never developed any symptoms despite having somebody who was tested positive in my house. Of key importance is of course having the ArtemiC bottle already in your refrigerator and being able to use it immediately.

Same and my pcp just checked me for my thyroid and was like well it must be from your hysterectomy bc everything was negative .. like that was almost 2 years ago and it was never this bad.. I had Covid like 2-3 months ago and didn’t even think about this bc in just one month and 3 showers later .. almost all my hair is gone. 😭

It happened to me too. 😳 I thought I was crazy. My ponytail feels like half gone 😭😭😭 my pretty red hair.... 😳😳😳
For how long the shedding stayed?
@@Sallita111 For me it's on going.
I got Covid at July and after3 months, half of my hair is gone and still shedding 😢
@@naghmehrezaei3468 same here:(
Same here 😩 I got covid at the end of July and now my hair has been shedding like crazy since last month
this happened to me the first time i got covid but now the second time i got covid it seems worse ugh... i have used all the shampoos , vitamins nothing seems to help this time
I got Covid July of last year.. it’s been a year already since I caught Covid my hair is still falling out.. I’m so tired of it
Yep, after covid, i had the hair loss. Went my PCP and was informed about the symptoms due to shock to system. Plus alot of stress due to work and medical issues, so yeah i had a trifecta. She did send me to a dermatologist but never went as other urgent medical issues was more important. But i just stop combing my hair too much bc i was afraid of losing more. Lol, so i thought of of one of the treatment on my own.

I totally forgot about stupid covid and its side effects. I lost half of my hair to the point where I can see my scalp easily. I shed in the shower, combing, or even doing nothing, I just walk and my hair just fly to the ground, my house has my hair everywhere. I tried natural oils for hair regrowth, I use shampoo with no parabens or silicone, I take vitamins, eat healthy and my hair still sheds. And stupid doctors blame it on stress or getting old. I didn't know that at 37 I should just wait home and die because I'm getting old😒
Any updates on your shedding? I caught covid early on in nyc in March 2020 & went through all the long haul symptoms, lost way more than half my hair. I'm 39, & my hair was nice and thick like it used to be, all of a sudden I started shedding bad. It's been 2 weeks of shedding & my hair is so thin I can see my scalp. I've caught covid 3 other times since 2020 & it never shed again from the first time. I'm at a loss as to why it started up out of nowhere. I was crying in the shower today just watching clumps come out.
@@KS-pz4dp I gave up the harsh shampoo and conditioner to prevent more shedding. I use a shampoo bar instead and a hair mask, I think it's called miele(the mask). I saw some improvement so I'll keep going with it, and a good diet with protein, veggies and fruit. I don't think my hair will ever grow back to what it was but I'm trying to avoid shedding more and lose it all. I observed that I lose more hair when I return to my regular shampoo so I will stick to my bar. I hope you find something that works for you.
I’m 17 and I’m losing my hair since I’ve had Covid
Castor oil works great to regrow hair. Get a small jar add a tablespoon or more castor oil, add 5-10 drops lavender same for tea tree oil , I like to add some vitamin e oil , stir. Apply to scalp morning and evening. I use it on my eye lashes and they have become longer it has even helped regrow over plucked eyebrows blessings
Doesn’t that block the follicle?
Castor oil actually made my hair, eyebrows and lashes worse.
This means we’d need to wash our hair daily. And watch the hair come out even more after shampooing.
This hairloss is starting to scare me 😨
Shedding now 🙄 also lower back ache. Had covid July
Blood vessel damage period
I've lost 80 % of my hair
I have been waiting for 4 years mine got worst
I have bald spots in my beard since I got the two vaccines and the booster.... Thanks Pfizer. I will never be able to grow a beard again
PFIZER made my hair fall out like crazy too!
Same
Had covid in October and been experiencing clumps of hair loss since January. Been taking more care of my health since the covid but just want the hair fall to stop and grow again.
This is happening to me right now 😢
I had a bad covid in December 2022 and now it’s falling out in clumps every time I brush or wash its so much.
I hope it stops soon. I have graduation in May and so worried I will have no hair 😢
My too, Alice. Bad covid last week in December, now 3 months later and I can't believe it. I'm afraid to run a brush through it, so I'm letting it mostly dry curly instead of blowing it straight. I can see how thin it's getting. I've always had long thick hair. It's scary as hell. I wake up wondering how much will fall out today. I've watched the last 3 days I've taken a shower and more and more falls out. When did yours start?
Same here! I’ve had covid Dec 2022 and now seeing extreme hairloss since last month…
@@anjushamathew1828 and we can all thank China's labs for this.

So sorry to hear that you are also struggling with post covid hair loss :( I really hope it stops for you soon. It’s a horrible virus! Take care ❤️
Its been over a year and still not recovered yet
No, you CANNOT prevent it. I eat healthy foods, take vitamins, use mild shampoo, etc. 😒
I don’t know what to do too! I’m about to buy a wig. My scalp hurts all the time so much, and I’ve lost 50% of my hair. My hair was already on thin side but now you can see my scalp. I was really sick with Covid prior to this. The sickest I’ve ever been in my life. It took 6 days for my fever to break and I couldn’t eat for weeks. I’m freaking out about my hair now. I’m looking at a $400 wig that I can’t even afford, but I don’t know what else to do.
Currently going through this. Had Covid like 4 months ago and then my hair just started shedding out of nowhere
I had a bald patch after Covid flu and it kinda resembled ring worm my doctor gave me a cream n it ended up working thank god
I also got two bald patches on my beard about 1.5 month from recovering covid 19. My covid symptoms were nothing more serious than simple cough for 3-4 days. I had 3 Moderna mrna vaccine and i have feeling it might be related to that. Did you receive covid vaccine?
Does any other animal naturally produce spiked antibodies against any virus?
Did anyone lose your hair in like patches not just thining
it doesnt always come back. Licensed cosmetologist here!
Omg yes me too! I started losing my hair after getting my covid vaccine and so did my mom and neighbor woman!
ITS THE JABS, it happened to my father and friends mother ITS THE JABS, which cause immune system damage, alopecia is caused by your immune system being compromised by something ITS A AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE
Me too!!
I feel it's getting better now. Biotin, castor oil, rosemary, and pledge to never get vaccinated again
@@Tresdrole123 Amen to that! I think mine is from the vaccine too.
@@kelleylmillermine fell out after I got actual covid. I did not get boosted. My immunity wore off and BAM! I lost 30% of my hair. So, i can forgo a vaccine but if I get full on covid again - the hair loss may be worse because it is not a controlled amount of the virus. So, until this weakens to a run of the mill virus….avoiding a vaccine won’t be a preventative for me.
I had a super strong flu in November lasted almost a whole month sick"NOT covid". I noticed my hair start thinning about 3 months after the flu. It hasn't stopped falling out more than usual during shower or brushing but I do see many baby hairs sticking up so I have some hope.
Flu can cause hair loss also. You probably had a fever
@JozieWales420 Yeah it was an on and off fever for like 2 weeks. And to top it off once the flu was getting better the left over fluids went to my ear so I came down with a bad ear infection so that was another whole 2 weeks of pain.
Try having TE and AGA.... it doesn't grow back
I lost my edges after contracting Covid .

Wow I’m currently experiencing the same thing. I have thick curly hair the texture completely changed in the front only
I had Covid like 2-3 months ago and now my hair just keeps falling out in the shower. I’m so scared to even wash my hair.. idk what to do anymore as my hair used to be soo thick and now it’s thin and it makes me so sad. I also had a hysterectomy over a year ago and it wasn’t as bad as it is now..i have tried everything for months like hair vitamins.. vitamin D.. hair oils.. treatments and less heat..still no change. I just want to cut all my hair off atp.
I know 2 people that lost their hair from the vaccine
This has happen to me my hair is so thin after COVID!!!
Right after i got my vaccine shot mine started to fall out
It’s been two years for me and my hair is just getting worse, I am thinking about shaving😢😭😭😭
This worked for me but I’ve been making my own Coffee oil hair stopped falling out about two to three weeks after using. Apparently caffeine helps stop it.

3 -5 Tbsp coffee
Simmer on low for about 15 minutes to half an hour.
Strain with a panty hose, cheesecloth or whatever you have on hand.

I got sick with Covid December Of 2020 and it’s 2024 and I still have horrible hair loss.. and I know it’s from Covid because I was violently sick.. a month later the hair loss hit me, having my hair tied up will lose me from about 100-300, but that’s excluding what I lose in the shower. Anyways, I can’t even style it anymore, when I decided to put my hair up, it’s only on special occasions! Doctors suck ass and brush this shit off.. anyone going through this and found a solution? Any tests out there that are being done? Please let me know..

What is this product please?

Got covid 2.5 yrs ago. Lost half my hair in just 2 weeks. I was mortified. Still have hairfall. Overall i have lost 70 to 80 % of my hair. It is not growing back either. Before covid my hair would always double in six months in thickness and length but now even after almost 3 years im left with a couple of strands of short very thin hair. I miss my thick and long and healthy hair 😢😢😢
The last two years I took my shots as I was mandated to do if I wanted to keep my job however in the last 6 months I noticed my hair started break off and very dry and brittle so I kept my hair protective styles my hair is just now getting back soft and took its natural state
