    I was not a believer in the chatterbait but last weekend back to back catches fishes just proved to me that it works. This is a versatile lure.

    Now that u said something it DOES look like a Green Screen lol i know it's not but it def looks like it bc the outline of your body blurs a little when you move, DOPE CAMERA! That camera is awesome!

    • @bjs2063
      @bjs2063 3 роки тому +1

      It’s the lens -set to a wide aperture this makes items close to the camera in focus and farther away items out of focus, or a little blurry
      It’s a nice effect for the video

    I do two mods to the blades.
    1) wiggle the blade to loosen the action. It deepens the vibration.
    2) In conjunction, to strengthen the vibes, cup the blade's lateral sides forward with needlenose plyers (of course, if you wanted to mod to reduce the vibes, bend the edges backwards or cut them back altogether with tin snips).

    When, where, how. When you're on a body of water, where the deepest part is, you carefully cut off the tip and barb of the hook and baseball what's left into Davy Jones locker. Dispose of the hook remnants in a container in a dumpster. Afterwards, tie on a 4 through 6 plain ol' j bend worm hook, Texas rig a six through 12 inch black plastic worm, and fish it very slowly, as in set the rod down for a minute. Learned that from an old guy decades ago. He had seven bass that morning all over 4.lbs. That was normal for him. While I'm sure that some anglers do have success with a chatterbait, I ain't one of them. Topwaters, frogs and worms etc in pads and weeds and blow downs, that's me. But I seriously do appreciate this young mans videos and skills that he shares, and do learn from them.

    I love throwing Jackhammers on a 7’2” Med. Hvy. Glass rod with a 7:1.1 or higher reel. You definitely need a high speed reel when they’re “really eating” that bait!!

    How would you use a chatterbait with the temperatures around 45-55 degrees? Would you use the chatterbait on main points or secondary points? I was looking to get some advice on Dale Hollow Lake for March tournament.

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  3 роки тому +1

      Probably one of the biggest areas I fish it is on channel swing banks. Wish it like you would a Spinnerbait when the water is the cold. Slow roll it. Also, I have seen in the spring that if you can find some off color water, once that water hits about 50 those fish will start pushing into pockets and will relate to wood/rock. This tends to be an afternoon bite

    Do you think a Medium Light fast action is as a good as Medium Heavy Moderate action?
    I hear both it’s confusing

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  3 роки тому

      There are a lot of rods that can work for a chatterbait and it can be confusing. Some guys like pure graphite rods and others like Graphite/Glass Rods. I think Medium is the lowest power that I would go with for a rod, ML may not be enough to handle 3/8 and 1/2 chatter baits.
      The rod that I will be fishing a chatterbait on this year is this one ---> Tharp Series B-Hittay rebrand.ly/knxagzo
