Installing a TON of mods on my MK6 GOLF GTI | FMIC Install Turbo Muffler Delete Intercooler Piping

In this video I take my MK6 GTI and take it to the next level by upgrading to a ARM Motorsports front mount intercooler, ARM Motorsports turbo outlet pipe, ARM Motorsports throttle body pipe and Go Fast Bits DV+ diverter valve. After these mods my 2011 VW Golf GTI will be basically a full bolt on MK6 GTI. After installing these parts and tuning with a Stratified tune this car is waaaay faster and much more fun to drive! Wish I would have installed and tuned my car along time ago, its crazy!

@@BriGuy503 yes for sure fun especially for what it is. Not as quick as my SHO but still fun
just make sure the timing chain and tensioner has been done before doing mods... and the same goes if it is a DSG, fresh trans oil. If going stage 2, dsg tune is a must or will burn the clutch pads.

The “sensor” that was next to the turbo muffler is just a connector. There are 2 bolts holding it in.
Ya I couldn't get to the top bolt that held it on. Would help if I had the right tool lol
With leaving the stock intercooler installed did you consider getting the extra piping and running both the stock and front mount for a twinnercooler?
I'm not too concerned. I've never looked into it. Maybe I will now

I have the quickjack 5000. Works pretty good and makes projects alot easier to work on
Did you have any troubles with the arm intercooler connection leaking at the green o ring? Can't seem to get mine to seal.

Was this a Oem delete or did you leave the stock intercooler on And just hook up the fmic?
I left the stock intercooler in place and just installed the new intercooler infront of the stock one

I’m looking at upgrading my innercooler too. Is there a benefit to the front mounted like you did vs removing and replacing the OEM cooler with a larger one? Just ease of installation or is it better?
Just alot easier and quicker to install

@@fluflammer1 I think it's just a preference sort of thing. I think it looks cool without it. But at the same time it's a pain to cut it out lol so if you take the effort to do it, then ya.
@@BriGuy503 real shit? I wanna cut the grille but when you had urs cut out did the inside get hit by rocks or glass or stuff from the road? That’s the only thing that holds me back from cutting the grille

Hey man I installed this in my car and I have a cat back exhaust and knn air filter system but I haven’t got tune but when I installed it feel slow on the throttle and a “EPC” light came on the and my turbo is not working it’s not spooling up and not boost is being made. Any advice ?
Could be a boost leak?
How long did it take to install the intercooler?
I was installing alot of new parts at the same time, so its kind of hard to tell. But I'd say someone could do it in about 3-4hrs
Noticed you're in Oregon, were in the process of buying a used MK6 GTI, and will be moving to Medford, Oregon in the next year. is everything you have on your car able to pass smog? I know MOST of Oregon has smog except for Roseberg and a few other places. any info is appreciated
Mine would not pass smog because of the catless downpipe. But when I have to go through smog, I just swap back to stock downpipe to pass.

It's not too bad. Worst part is getting the car up in the air high enough to get under it. Probably a realistic 3-4hr job
Did the turbo muffler give you any extra turbo noises?
I think so? Lol I installed so many things at the Sametime, I don't know what mod made it louder. It's a lot louder now though.

Even with my clamps on the same direction as yours, my bumper has to be put on with quite force, did yours do on easily?
Yea same. Until I trimmed up the bumper to fit better. After trimming it, it fit easily.

Yea I will eventually upgrade the turbo. Still not sure what I'll go with though. But when I do, I'll make a video of the process.

Works ok. I havent noticed a huge difference good or bad. Does it's job but I wouldn't say it's significant compared to stock
