    Love your channel. I have a kt 250 and I’ve got 86 hrs on it. Absolutely no problems. I love it. I ride semi hard enduro in Washington State USA. Keep up the good work buddy.

      Great to hear you’ve had that many trouble free hours! I just picked up one of these exact same bikes in mint condition with only 1.5 hours. Have you ever bent the selector shaft? Now I’m worried about doing that😂

    Just bought the "performance" expansion chamber from Kayo here in the US. They listened to the owners. I wasn't sure if they were going to come through, but they did. We now have a bolt on pipe available that is more of a traditional bend for an engine of this capacity.

      @thevoxofreason8468 Where did you buy it from? How much was it? I just picked one of these bikes up with only 1.5 hours on it. Looking to do some mods. Anything else you did with pipe? Thanks

    • @thevoxofreason8468
      @thevoxofreason8468 6 місяців тому

      @@BMJAUDI I bought the pipe from "Whygostock". They're out of Montana I believe. Nothing else needs to be done. Just pay attention to jetting. It may need changed, but really that depends on where you ride, i.e. altitude, temperature, etc.

    Opened end wrench loosen plug stick your hand in there and spin it out very simple no need to pull all that off to change plug

    • @MudAndDustMoto
      @MudAndDustMoto  3 місяці тому

      Yeah that will work. i dont have a big enough open ended wrench though.
      I prefer to pull the tank to clean the bike and inspect everything properly when servicing so that makes changing the plug easier.

    What would be a better option to replace my 86 lt250r engine im a beast with a wire welder i dont care i can make anything fit as needed.. THIS (loncin 250) or the nc300s (zongshen dual cam 4t) i just want reliability

    • @MudAndDustMoto
      @MudAndDustMoto  5 місяців тому +1

      I have alot of experience with the single cam zongshen motors, and they are very reliable. I would assume that the quality on the dual cam engine would be the same.
      And the 300 produces good power

    Hello I was hoping you could tell me if you have come across milky crank oil .This guy brought me a 2020 Kayo kt 250 it has 22 hrs on it .I have been wrenching on 2 strokes for 40 yrs and have seen this twice and it was the water pump seal .Have you herd of this on the Kayo can't find out much about these bikes. I put the actual 250 pipe on it instead of the 125 pipe that came on it like you did. I all so put a bigger carb on it that made a huge difference.If you have any ideas on the milky oil and on how to get the water pump propeller off i would appreciate it .If you know of someone that could help me out that mayb have an idea if you don't that would be great Thanks #76.

    • @MudAndDustMoto
      @MudAndDustMoto  3 місяці тому

      Hey Mike, it could be the water pump seal, base gasket of the cylinder or the seal where the clutch arm actuates (if that seal is worn water can get in when you wash the bike)
      You have to remove the whole right engine cover to gain access to the water pump impeller if i remeber correctly.
      The KT’s engine is based on the yamaha wr 200/ dt 230 so i actually use the yamaha workshop manual if i need to work on the motor, that is usually the best instruction to follow.
      Hope that helps🤙🏼
