  • By using only part of a stencil, you can create an entirely different look! The Wrought Iron stencils (from StencilGirlProducts.com) are loaded with different elements that you can stencil to add touches of pattern. This is just the tip of the iceberg- there are lots more ways you can use a stencil! If you're ready to understand stencils more fully and get the most out of them, then check out my online workshop, The Joy of Stenciling acolorfuljourney.com/?page_id...

You can find me designing stencils for StencilGirl Products, teaching in person and online workshops and sharing the message of O.O.P.S. here on UA-cam and on the blog, aColorfulJourney.com
What does O.O.P.S. stand for? It stands for Outstanding Opportunities Presenting Suddenly.
Those “failures” and “mistakes” that we so harshly criticized ourselves about actually became true gifts as soon as you start saying O.O.P.S. Try saying Oops in an angry tone. It makes it even more silly!
I just can’t take myself seriously when I say Oops which is just what I needed to play. I began to play, to have fun, and to embrace all of my “mistakes”.

Hmm. UA-cam ate my comment yesterday. I am so grateful for you videos and the beautiful what I have come to call the Carolyn palette 🎨. Not feeling the greatest physically and mentally, and your videos are just balm for the soul. I will be saving up for your course! I am going to gather matching paints together in a box so I can have a box full of happy. Be well. Much love to you.

Love it, and your stencils. Went to the site and I just have one thought. Would be lovely if just the fences were in a 6x6 size. Maybe in the future? I’d like them all!!! 😀❤️

I love to watch your videos! thanks for making them. Do you clean any of your stencils? If so, what do you use?

I clean sometimes, if there's lots of excess paint on them. Usually, I just blot them off on nearby scraps. You can clean them off with a baby wipe if you get to them quickly (which I rarely do) or you can toss them in water when you're done and let them soak. If it's really stuck on paint, then add soap (Murphy's oil or dishwashing machine soap) to help it along.

When people ask-What’s the plan for this page? Just say- I’m Carolyn Dube, what’s a plan?! 😁🌈❤️

The silly thing is, even though I know the plan will change (it always does), I don't think it will when I start lol!
