- A not so quick demo of the Lone Wolf Blues Alpha Wolf pedal. I am using a Shure SM58 to show the tone the pedal offers. I ak also playing through a Bose S1 PA speaker.
I will post more later
Thanks
Great presentation Eddie. Many thanks for investing in this piece of gear and sharing it with us. I appreciate your choice of using the 'vanilla' SM58 mic & speaker so that the true capability of the Alpha Wolf can be demonstrated. I think I'll buy one and hopefully it will be the LAST piece of harmonica tech gear I shall ever need to purchase! (famous last words).
I love the Lone wolf pedals. They can be as subtle or as aggressive as you like.
Very nice little walter riffs ! Really cool
Just got one and like it but need to try into a different speaker - I feel it's not as clear of an effect into the amps I have. Now what to do with my 'Harp Octave' pedal... seems superfluous with this one!
Wow, that pedal really does the job!
Yes sir!
nice playing Eddie
Thank you sir!
Thanks for the demo!
You are welcome. I am going to do some comparison videos with the boogieman
do they make this pedal without reverb?
Yes the Harp Attack
Nice one Eddie, quick question why did you pick this instead of the Boogieman? Do both pedals allow you to hook straight into the PA?
@gorringeman with a tube amp I use boogieman. If I know I am going through pa I always take alpha wolf.
The boogieman works great through pa I have used when my tube amp died.
I like the drive of the tube in the alpha better than the boogieman going into a PA or a solid state amp.
My man here plays 1847s, legend.
Why do you run the Hi-Lo transformer? That could be part of the reason it’s so quiet.
The mic I was using was low z I used the adapter to boost the signal going into the pedal. My normal setup is a hi-z microphone.
@@eddiemartin3618 right, but if the mic is already low-z, why would you put a Hi-to-Lo on it? That’s like double-lo
@@norfolknwhey4787 the 1/4 inch end of the adapter is high output. It has a transformer in it. Boosting plus and XLR cable will not fit in a 1/4 hole.
Excellent!
Thanks for the presentation. I use a Pignose amp as a pre/amp directly into a PA.
Have you had any experience with that set-up and, if so, how do you think it compares to the Harp Attack? Thanks!
I love the harp attack as well. The alpha wolf adds the reverb and an xlr out to go directly to a PA.
The tone is a lot different than a pig nose. Using the alpha wolf into your pignose will also give you a great sound. I use the alpha wolf into a Quilter Tone Block 201 it is loud sounds fantastic.
Appreciate the feedback!
3:50 I think your neighbour is sending a message 😂
Sold
Great video !
Whats the difference between
Alpha wolf vs boogie man ?
Both pedals from lone wolf.
Where to buy to radio scak or what is called?
Low to hiz transformer.
Radioshack.com or amazon has them.
@@eddiemartin3618 Got it👌
Are you yousing high og low input?
Where can I buy one? Do you have a website
Lonewolfblues.com
So? Aplha or the boogeyman? What’s your verdict?
Well with a tube amp I like the Boogieman with the PA or solid state amp Alpha wolf
Not bad, but in my view Harp Tone+ and Octave are more gentle, pleasant overload for harmonica.
I agree with what you say. I run the drive setting as low as possible to prevent too much distortion but I like the xlr for the PA. My use of the pedal is to sound like a mic'd little tube amp. Thank you for you input. I love the pedals you are using too.
yeah thanks for the video, it reminds me of what I can never own thanks to everything in the world costing an arm and a leg. The chances of me getting my hands on an actual pedal similar to that or like that is fucking zero. Costs 6900 bucks for that pedal here in the RSA. That is exactly the cost of the rent for my one bedroom bachelors flat. But yeah thanks, I will now spend the rest of the day contemplating my sad existence.
Wow that was boring I was looking forward to really here in this box and what it can do I guess I have to buy my own alright well thanks a lot keep practicing don't give up pull up some Robert Lucas built for comfort Robert Lucas with Canned Heat start practicing to his harmonica very simple and good stuff that will help you
Thank you for your comment. I will give Robert Lucas a listen.
