I go with Boogieman straight to PA for both harp and voice. Easy to balance volume harp/voice turning off the break when singing. Fantastic pedal!!! Thanks to Lone Wolf engineers
@@harmonicamanrandy @jasonricci Hey cool. Thanks for the reminder😂 . Just donated $50 . I bought a Jason Ricci mic and a Boogieman From Lone Wolf . I told a guy named Randy there that I bought them because of @jasonricci.
Using my Boogieman for jamsessions. With a 5V to 18V Ripcord from Myvolt it lasts on a regular 5V 10.000 mAh powerbank for 12 hours at least. I use a Swiff ws-50 uhf wireless kit from my (Huskey) mic to the Boogieman and then with my own xlr cable all I require from the venue is a channel on the PA. Less fragile tripwires, no powersocket needed, more flexible placement, compact and quick to setup.
Excellent comparison. Mate, you know what I'm running (Fender Vibrolux or Iridium amp from a massive pedalboard, wireless noise-gate overdrive compression chorus delays reverb) And I have always loved my harp break pedal, it just makes harmonica sound exactly the way I desire. .... that Boogie man direct to the PA sounds GOOD. All PA's already have reverb so a delay give a heap of options.
I’ve had the Boogieman for a while now. Love it. Randy builds the best Harp Gear out there imo. Excellent demo. ( hey J, Notice how I tap the subconscious to give a plug to Brian’s product too . lol) ❤😎
Superb video Jason! I’ve been using one of your excellent mics with Lonewolf Octave and a delay for about 3 years and is great sound and sounds about the same as the Alpha Wolf, so I think the Boogieman is the one for me next as it is so versatile and will be more suited to the proto punk stuff that my Frontman is writing currently. Thanks Jason ordering one as soon a I’m back in UK as a bit close to you in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 poolside watching this with a mango Juice! Doesn’t get much better my friend!”Pura Vida!” 🤘😎
Different beasts indeed. Two excellent ones. The Boogieman sounds more like you. The Break is your go to yeah? Missed the little switch on the Wolf... clipping is it? Enjoy the rest of the tour !! ❤
Thank you too! Yes I definitely like the boogie man a little better but that alpha wolf has this kind of rattle tgat sounds so tube ish. But your right still! Thanks again!
Great demo! Do you ever run 2 amps (or 1 amp and the PA)? I like experimenting with pedals before/after the Lone Wolf Terminator out to my old small tube amps. Lots of effects combinations possible and it gets loud in my basement music room! 😂
as I think you know, I'm currently enjoying the combination of my alpha with the octave. The funny /not funny thing is that my alpha will pop really hard if I don't turn the amp completely to zero first before turning it on
The breakup on both sound awesome but if I had to choose one I’d go with the Boogie Man just because I prefer the delay over the reverb. Nice to have the option of leaving the heavy amps at home as long as the house has a good monitor system.
I thought that too Dre but for some reason it seems like it compresses really well straight through the PA. Maybe it's a different story through the amp. Hey I'm on the road but I haven't forgotten you box. I saw the pics of you with your new mic! ❤️ 💙 💜! Well talk about the TMJ thing on instagram. Hopefully you know more than me.
Hey Jason! Do you have any videos on acents and decents. Ive heard you do it a couple times in your jam videos and I would love to know how you do it. It's kinda like how the guitar players do it rock songs if that maks sense. (I heard it in Love Gun by Kiss at 2:19 and it reminded me of you in a way)
Alright I may have answered my own questions 😂 I just used the Minor Pentatonic Scale and every 3rd note I went back one and then moved up 3 again. Would ascending be something like this? 1 -1 -2" -1 -2" -2 -3' -2 -3' 4 -4 4 -4 -5 6 -5 6 6' 7 6' 7 -8 -9 -8 -9 9 -10
S'OK. I've used both pedals and settled on the Alpha Wuff. For me the Clip switch adds a bit of a crackle. All the controls are rather subtle but that's a good thing for me cause I tend to go too much of a good thing. @@jasonricci
Seems many musicians not just harmonica are going more and more pedal and less and less amp. A guitar friend of mine was recently on tour supporting Paul Carrack and he was the only one with amp, all the other guitarists were pedal only. Amps are great but obviously more of a pain to transport, so I guess this is all logical. All you need is a couple of pedals, a harp or 10 and to blow into the thing. 🤷👍❤️

Great comment !
Eleanor Rigby! Fabulous Sir😄
Dude you are so good. Holy cow you can just jam. You deserve more awards than you actually get, which seems to be ton. Be Bkessed
Screw the statues and awards. Get the guy some money and popularize him. Food and gas are expensive on the road.😊
Wow thank you very much that is REALLY kind! ❤️

Im a long time Boogieman user, so useful and flexible. The delay is great for slapback.
Excellent comparison.

I have a Boogie with no complaints. Would have been fun to run the Alpha and Boogie together.
Thanks Jason !

I would probably go with the Boogie Man because I love that delay on that ! Curious do they both have true by-pass or a buffer? Nice demo Mooncat !!🌛
Both true bypass and THANK YOU for watching!!
Elinore rigsby !! Cool
great vid, thank you, I see on the alpha there is a clip switch, what is that for?

Is it possible to modify these in future with a compressor components for Randy and LoneWolf, what do you think about it Jason?

the mic is low impedance?❤
This one is. Lone Wolf now makes all of them with a 1/4" out' so need for an impedance transformer. ❤️
What about the "Clip" switch?
I missed it bro! Sorry! There's gotta be another video!

@@jasonricci yeah, but at least you ain't luggin a heavy Fender Twin about the place. 😱🤔😂
He might be lugging that Twin soon, but Jason strong like bull …and young
