Sonic 1, 2, and CD feel connected in a strange way, each prioritizing one element. 1 prioritized platforming, 2 prioritized speed, and CD prioritized exploration. Sonic 3K would go on to mix all three of these elements, and succeed. That is why it is considered the best classic game generally.
what the hell i have never seen more bs anywhere why does everyone try to paint sonic 3AK in the best way possible its not that good 💀 hate me if you want, its my opinion
The Palmtree Panic boss being easy is actually sort of an intentional joke- the mech is named EGG-HVC-001, with HVC-001 being the model number of the original Famicom- this weak boss sort of being a jab at the Famicom itself being weak.

The 64 refers to the console's 64-bit processor, so it doesn't really make sense for games suffixed with 64. Only really makes sense for Mario Kart...ridge
That makes more sense because it refers to power rather than space. If it's on a CD, yeah sure, but that doesn't really make the game better apart from the soundtrack and FMV-Cutscenes except when the game *really* needs more space like FFVII which aren't that many I suppose as much space can already be saved with proper compressing, too. With a "64" or "Super" in the title indicating the console's power you can certainly advertise.

I disagree, CD is my favourite classic game level design wise. The levels have this feeling of a free roam playground, the positions of objects feel more like little things to mess around with rather than ways of progressing to the end of the level. It sounds weird, but its the same joy I get out of Sonic Utopia. In that game, the fun is seeing where you can take Sonic, what you can mess around with. Just simply running to the end would be boring. When I play CD, I am always wondering where I can take Sonic next. Where will this route take me? What will happen if I try this? These aren't unintentional either, the game actively rewards you for going off the main track with life monitors and other goodies. Not only that, but it is the intended way of achieving the good ending - through stumbling across a robot generator while playing around with pathways and secrets found within the levels. The aesthetic of the areas and atmosphere make you want to spend time in these locations rather than blast through them, and the game design rewards players who do so.
Play It again, and try to destroy all the Eggman's generators and metal Sonic holograms. You will feel the real pain in the ass that these level actually are.
@@aquelecientista4491 I enjoy finding the generators, it's my preffered play style. I don't believe I have gone for all the Metal Sonic holograms - but there is no point in getting them other than for the achievement.
Spinball at least has unique gameplay AND levels built well for the gameplay it does have. Ofc on the Genesis. And in Mega Collection. Every 2000s Sonic fan should own Mega Collection.
Here’s a hot take: I actually like Sonic CD, I only played Sonic and Sonic 2 on IOS cause they’re free, with Sonic 1 I got stuck on Labyrinth Zone boss fight cause well Labyrinth Zone and in Sonic 2 I got stuck on Chemical Plant Zone boss cause tiny controls and every time I hit eggman *yeet* the floor just dips. Sonic CD was the only one where I was able to fully complete (at the time) and my experience was that yeah sure it was wack but I thought that was kinda the point, now I didn’t go for 100% I was just going for whatever and looking back it was obtuse but I liked it, it provided something weird yet interesting. I understand the level design isn’t great in practice, at the very least it was unique and I’ll always respect it for that
What’s with all the recent Sonic CD bashing? I understand some of the criticisms, but it feels like the internet just decided to shit on CD out of nowhere for no reason. Kinda feels like the time everyone on youtube unanimously decided the Adventure games were bad in like 2015
Yeah, that's the Sonic fanbase logic, they just start to roast the best games (Adventure, Unleashed, CD, and so on) to promote the worst ones, like riders
I can understand not liking the game, but some of these complaints seemed contradictory to each other. You complain that the levels are built for exploration to the expense of not being able to just play through the levels like a normal Sonic game. But then you later complain about there always being a straight-shot path that's comparatively easy compared to the rest of the level, allowing you to skip all of the exploration. That straight-shot path was EXACTLY so that you can still play through the game like a typical Sonic game! You complain about not being able to easily time travel to the past. The thing is, that's another aspect of the puzzle for each level. You not only need to investigate the level to find the Generator you need to destroy, but you also need to find a safe and easy place to time travel. Once you activate a sign-post, the effect doesn't go away until you hit another one or attempt to time-travel and trigger the sparks. You have all the time in the world to locate a safe place to time travel. There's always at least one in every single level, those paired springs aren't cop-out spots, they just happened to be easier to find! Usually if the time-travel location is easier to find, that means that the Generator itself it tucked away in a particularly difficult spot and you're going to need to spend more time looking for it in particular. The complaint about the boss in Palmtree Panic Zone isn't necessarily contradictory, but you're missing the point. First of all, the game wasn't originally made for wide-screen like the PC port that you played. The original intention is that the boss travels forward all the way to the very left of the screen save for a space that is just about exactly the same width as Sonic, so it's much less obvious that there's a safe spot to hide in. While it's still just as pathetic once you know what you're doing, that's also intentional as well. The boss itself is named after the Famicom, so it's an elaborate jab at Nintendo. Besides, as the very first boss of the game, making it easy isn't that big of a problem. (Also, you can totally reach the boss with Invincibility, or even sneak behind it when it first appears, so you can kill it in less than three seconds either of those ways.)
actually... the spinning platforms he complains about in this video are also freebies. Shame most people never try to explore and experiment with the level because... well... it's sonic and in most games you just run right. Although... I still think another third of the signposts should have been past. Like, what's the point of going to the bad future first?
You need to really understand the momentum and how to use it every time you want, I like this sonic game, it’s my favorite, because it’s not just a giant concert of speed while you are doing nothing, it’s not just press right to win, and you can speed run and use momentum too, for example I, in metallic madness act 1 I’ve got a record 29 seconds I don’t know if it was 28, but you can still go fast, it’s just that it’s more difficult
To be fair, it ain't ENTIRELY Sonic CDs fault. RadicalSoda has constantly joked and mentioned about how terrible he is at playing the classic games. He can barely get to Spring Yard Zone in Sonic 1.
@@user-nf2es5xv5w NO SONIC GAME IS PRESS-RIGHT-TO-WIN! Not even Forces! My problem with CD is not that it isn’t “press-right-to-win”. My problem is that it tries to have its cake and eat it too.
Some of the complaints towards this game feel exaggerated for comedy. Scott the Woz's review of Sonic CD is better and more constructive. This just feels like an "Angry man rants about Sonic for 15 minutes, while repeating how the level sucks over and over ".
OK WHY DO PEOPLE HATE SONIC CD!?!? I really liked CD. Ok I get it now but I still like this game, I see the "they just placed shit everywhere" but he also shows how there is paths that just go straight to the end, like all classic sonic games.
but even then all the levels in this game can be described with 'dick move'. This game is full of dick moves, which makes it really hard to keep rings. and sometimes you can be forced to go on the 'fuck you' paths of horror.
people hate cd for it's level design. It is flawed and I don't like that it has the same design philosophy as sonic 1. CD is still my favorite game though.
Mamodokod Agreed. You either loved or hated this game and personally sonic cd is my favorite out of the classic bunch. The time travel mechanic is what makes the level design of this game really enjoyable to me
The best thing about Sonic CD is that I play it. I love this game and I can’t stop people from saying they hate it. That’s fine. I just don’t feel Sonic CD is a bad game at all
I love to speed run this game. Many of the levels seem like a random acid trip at first, but by exploring and practicing, any level can be blazed through.
Most sonic games are like this. I don't get this thought process "I'm not good at it so this is BAD". I think the only levels I genuinely don't like are... collision chaos and the first act of metallic madness I think (because it's really confusing to get across.)
Yeah but isn't that the default? If you force me at gunpoint to play literally any game 10 times I'm obviously gonna blaze through it eventually, really what counts is if I'm skilled enough to blaze through it on my first few playthroughs.
I hope isn't just "Sonic CD bad cus different" or other thing of the tipical Twitter hate, well to time watch the video Edit: ok so i watched it, is the typical usual opinion of one what he just played the game don't understanding the level's and comparing to the other games saying "that's isn't how it works cus that isn't how i though was gonna work" thing. This game while being in the classic era has an different focus, instead of more action-platformer is an exploration-adventure, like the new system based sandbox's games, where is how you want to play the game the correct way to play, here you see a prototype of that in Sonic CD, allowing to do what you want when and wherever you want (literally thanks to the time travel mechanic), for that reason sonic cd repeats a lot of modules, combining that to the unique pathways, but in this game being more polarized, the easy paths are fast and spectacle shores while the hard zones are really big challenges but they are more about your skills and timing rather than waiting and reaction.
i just didnt like this review cause its the same points over and over again and again. the only points he brings up as to why the game is bad is "Time Travel is jank" or "The levels focus more on exploration" and shit like that. Its only those 2 that he brings up the most, and some are easily invalidated. Sure, the eggman mech boss is really easy, but thats mainly because its the *_first boss of the first zone_*
@@platlo4848 the typical hate stuff, more than the this game is bad now rather than an actual opinion (that waves of sonic hat that scales from game to game)
Ansen36 for giving criticism towards a game? The frustration aspect clearly shows what’s wrong with the game and what it needs improvement on. Not only that but it’s a video meant to be exaggerated to entertain an audience.
First of all, nobody (Correction: some people) call it the best sonic game Second of all, just watch an explanation by gamechamp3000 or game apologist to see a better perspective. you do raise some good points about level design though.
I mean i can agree and that saying this is my favorite Sonic game after 3 & Knuckles, but the video feels super full of hyperbole, like, im on board and then "THE STORY MAKES NO SENSE" excuse me it's a game about a humanoid hedgehog it sure had to made sense, i mean the story is simple but it makes medium sense or so i remember. The video makes complaints against things that doesnt really matter, and yeah i could be with level design, i didnt had much trouble with it but i understand, thing is the exploration and big open areas arent a problem on itself, yes you can breeze through the level BUT YOU DONT GET THE REWARD FROM EXPLORING. Besides that, i agree with pretty much everything but A Are we forgetting CD has a couple of the best/most creative bosses in 2D Sonic games, with Tidal Tempest making use of bubbles in a creative way and the memorable Metal Sonic race? B Can we just talk about how hard the final boss sucks ass? That's the real atrocity here. C Idk it's fine saying you dont like it, sometimes the video is phrased like is THE WORST GAME and it's FACT over other ppl's opinions, so, idk Sonic CD isnt perfect but im pretty sure ppl were full aware of everything when playing it and they enjoyed it
The first time I played Sonic CD I was having a really frustrating time. Then I beat the game once and got the bad ending... and then I played the game again for the good ending... and then I got all the time stones. This is a good sonic game, better than Sonic 2 in many ways, but also worse in some other ways. The thing about classic sonic is: you gotta get good to have fun. He never played this game as a child, the one he played the most was Sonic 3 and K so obviously he would think it's the better one, and of course that he is not going to figure out most of the Sonic CD's mechanics. What really made me upset was hearing him complain about level design and platforms, but not realizing that most of the said platforms serve so you can time travel with ease. But yeah, the last boss sucks, especially because all of the bosses here are really good, even the first one that is supposed to be joke boss at the expense of the code name of the NES. This video is really funny, but it stinks as a critique and the script really sells me the idea that he knows what he is talking about when he clearly doesn't.
It's better than sonic 1, 2, and 3&K level design. You could argue sonic 2 but it still has chemical plant, metropolis, oil ocean, and mystic cave so... Nothing of course as bad as marble garden zone or labyrinth zone but still has more dumb stuff than CD. CD only annoying parts to me anyway are Collison chaos 3 and metallic madness 2 and 3 but I usually give last zones like metallic madness a break since all other last sonic zones also suck. (Those being Scrap Brain, Wing Fortress, and Death Egg)
I actually liked wacky workbench. The bouncy floor has always seemed like a punishment for not doing the platforming correctly, as well as a way to quickly get to the upper portions of the stages
Sonic CD is honestly my favorite classic game. Heck my first Sonic game was the IOS port of CD many years back and as grueling as that game's levels could be, it's a gold mine of game design since it actually frigin' stimulates my mind with how scatterbrain it is. Tho Wacky Workbench felt like it was designed by goddamn satan. Fuck that level. Oh also Collision Chaos' boss was utter hell for me.
5:25 “This game singlehandedly added a screen when you turn on your Wii.” Even though it was never released on the Wii, as it exceeded the WiiWare download size?
How is it unfair? He's right. The levels are a total mess. CD would be good if the levels were actually build AROUND the fact that you speed up for time traveling but they're clearly not
@@ichasedacrow2 Two factors. What you consider fair and what constitutes as a game [disclaimer] to most people. Both are subjective. I could say that olives on pizza are disgusting and give reasons to qualify what makes it a gross addition. However, in an argument about whether makes for a bad lunch, I'm overstepping the bounds by trying to turn a subjective basis into an objective point Personally I think when people try to compare the structure of this game to Sonic 2, it is heavily doctored by nostalgia. If they took off their rose tinted glasses and tried to see it from the perspective of an adult trying to enjoy a game, they'd find a game about speed less compelling when they are constantly slamming into enemies/obstacles due to the zoomed camera and punishing lead space
I also thought he was being a bit unfair but he's right in pretty much all of his points. Sonic CD is my favorite game but 100% more so because of its visuals and soundtrack and amount of replayability. The levels are a complete mess but I like finding the good parts in that and finding reliable ways to time travel. I can replay this sonic game more so than any other one and I find it enjoyable too because the paths are completely different and there is so little that is scripted. Definitely not a perfect game but my favorite 2D sonic game by far
I see the future signs as punishments, which is a strange way to design a games main mechanic. Bad future stages always have more enemies and hazards, so you want to go to the past, and if you manage to get to good future you’re rewarded with a stage with little to no hazards. It’s a strange difficulty system that was completely missed by my 5 year old self playing this for the first time. This game used to give me nightmares (mostly cause of the English boss theme with the evil laughing). Another wonderful video, nice work alax!!
This is the reason I don't like 2D Sonic games. You can't see sh*t in front of you while running fast and it only feels a bit more comfortable once you've played the levels several times so that you know what's coming and where and when to jump out of a stupid trap.
You have no idea how much I relate to this. I mean, I don’t consider the main classic entries bad, but my first playthroughs of them were some of the first instances in my life when a video game actually made me want to watch the world burn.
Sonic CD is my favorite classic sonic game, however I've always been aware of its lackluster level design. I just really love the music and art style. I will say however I think it's better than sonic 1
I know the video is his own opinion, but the description hurts to read: "Sonic CD is often touted as the best Sonic game ever, so today we're gonna investigate how one of the worst Sonic games ever eluded the jaws of reality and snuck itself into that category." It is painful for a sonic cd fan.
That's what this game is about, this is why this ignorant person that has no taste regarding games roasted it, it's something different from the same Sonic games
@@wimyjohn7159 idk. I actually had something more elaborate at first and then I deleted it. I also didn't want to be basic and say like "first" or whatever especially when I'm probably not lol
@@ansen3683 that's the problem sega's all bad games are failing attempts of either fan service for old generarions or attempts to impress the new one.Sonic was originally a platformer, rhat's my point, and colors had quite the platforming sections, even generations had platforming.
Sonic 1: "I put stuff here cause the player wants to go there and it's a platformer" Sonic 2: "I put stuff here so that when the player goes here he dies. And he will gradually learn, through failure after failure, my methods of madness and avoid them." Sonic 3: "I put stuff here so that if the player goes here he can do a thing and say 'wow mom look I'm doing a thing'" Sonic CD: "I put *stuff* "
It's a bad Sonic game, not a bad game. It's more about exploring the levels than speeding through them. Every level is just a playground for you to explore using Sonic's physics. This mindset really only works when going for the good ending but if you *are* going for the good ending it works quite well. It would admitably be far better if they made the main character Tails or something cause that way it would be clear "Hey this isn't your standard Sonic game" but my guess is by time Tails was created this game was too far into development and they had already finished the opening and ending and stuff like that.
The fact that the levels are more about exploration is severely undermined by the fact that the player can only actually get something out of exploring by traveling to the past, which requires going fast for five seconds, which these levels, being more exploration-oriented, just don’t lend themselves to.
"everything is wrong with sonic cd" Heh, yeah. After saying the animation was glorious, the ost is awesome, and it has cool new characters. What? I'm a certified hypocrite, what can I say.
Sonic CD feels like one of those bad fan games made by a 14 year old who made something just because they got their hands on a framework. I'd know, man, I WAS that guy, and I'm pretty sure my 14 year old homemade platforming physics stage layout was more comprehensive
I feel like some of the criticisms in this video just come from a hatred towards the game in general causing them to sound more like "this sucks" rather than constructive criticism although for Collision chaos, wacky workbench, and a few other criticisms I can agree with Like the future sign posts are more meant to be a punishment But I do you agree with some of the things he said *I hate collision chaos with a passion*

I think this video was recorded last Friday and here's why: The Let'sPlay channel Friends Without Benefits was streaming Mario Party 4 when Major disconnected from the game, reverting to the start of one of the turns. This resulted in Cade having incredibly bad luck as he was now in the Bad Timeline, but how did this happen in the first place? About a year or so back, Alax was invited to play Mario Party 7 with FWOB as a guest, creating a loose connection with himself and the FWOB channel. The ending of this video showed Alax getting thrown across all timelines until he reformed in the original one. This affected Don's computer, as he was the one hosting the Netplay session for the livestream on FWOB, and he was the only member of FWOB not playing when Alax guest starred in that one arc. Long story short, time travel sucks for everyone involved, don't try it.
If Sonic CD is really the worst classic Sonic game you've ever played, you clearly don't play a lot. There's Sonic 2 (game gear), Sonic Jam (game com), and plenty of other bad ones
Sonic 2 Master System is superior to its Game Gear version. Sonic Chaos is worse than both versions of Sonic 2 (8-bit) because of how easy and unfun it is.
Game Gear version is basically "What if we put a Master System game on a handheld console that drains it's own batteries very quickly and make the game basically inferior to the original?".
0:58 the ad you're showing is an italian ad. That square logo in the bottom left corner is the logo from Italia 1, an italian TV channel that actually aired Kirby and Sonic X in the early 2000's!
I think sonic 1 is the worst classic game imo, green hill and star light zone are fun stages but the rest are a bit slow and unfun, especially labyrinth ofc While CD doesn't have the greatest level design, I quite like each stage and the time travel element is neat and adds replayability. JP soundtrack is fire too
I understand that CD is somewhat of a flawed game compared to it's counterparts, but I can't bring myself to say it's the worst. I can blow through Sonic 1 quite easily nowadays. But it's hard to deny that the level design in that game is kind of terrible, especially the special stages. I genuinely believe Green Hill and Spring Yard are the only good levels in 1, while in CD I really only have gripes with Wacky Workbench for being a total mess and Metallic Madness 2 for being a maze. Sonic CD's bad zones just tend to be inoffensive, while Sonic 1's can be outright cruel when you don't know the levels like the back of your hand. That or they're just Scrap Brain Act 3.

I agree

@Darling Vexa Art I actually love them for their weird wonky charm! And the memes and the UA-cam poop!

This is just a bad review. Scott the Woz's review of Sonic CD is way more constructive and doesn't rely on screaming and contradictions.
In RadicalSoda words:
“ The time travel idea is really cool. BUT I CAN NEVER F*CKIN DO IT!"
File this under "things with no sound but you can still clearly hear".
actually... the spinning platforms he complains about in this video are also freebies.
My problem is that it tries to have its cake and eat it too.

but even then all the levels in this game can be described with 'dick move'.
This game is full of dick moves, which makes it really hard to keep rings. and sometimes you can be forced to go on the 'fuck you' paths of horror.
And the end means nothing for the game if you don't go out of its way for the 100%, which is where all the problems show up.

The level design is not a straight line as Sonic 2

The best thing about Sonic CD is that I play it. I love this game and I can’t stop people from saying they hate it. That’s fine. I just don’t feel Sonic CD is a bad game at all
I completely agree
@@Apotheosister This. This is what I feel many more people need to realize about replayability. People should WANT to replay a game, not NEED to.

I hope isn't just "Sonic CD bad cus different" or other thing of the tipical Twitter hate, well to time watch the video
Edit: ok so i watched it, is the typical usual opinion of one what he just played the game don't understanding the level's and comparing to the other games saying "that's isn't how it works cus that isn't how i though was gonna work" thing.
How is it so far
Sonic CD is kinda boring though I played it and it was eh.

Sonic CD isnt perfect but im pretty sure ppl were full aware of everything when playing it and they enjoyed it
The first time I played Sonic CD I was having a really frustrating time.

I think his arguments were very fair and well explained
How is it unfair? He's right. The levels are a total mess. CD would be good if the levels were actually build AROUND the fact that you speed up for time traveling but they're clearly not
@@ichasedacrow2 Two factors. What you consider fair and what constitutes as a game [disclaimer] to most people.
Both are subjective. I could say that olives on pizza are disgusting and give reasons to qualify what makes it a gross addition. However, in an argument about whether makes for a bad lunch, I'm overstepping the bounds by trying to turn a subjective basis into an objective point
Personally I think when people try to compare the structure of this game to Sonic 2, it is heavily doctored by nostalgia.
@@zyndeyqualarrin easy,he goes "this isn't sonic, sonic is supposed to be fast" while forgetting sonic is a platformer first, speed was marketing only.

@Monika the cycle-path I don't see how that would help. The story is fine and the dialogue would just be annoying.
The fact that the levels are more about exploration is severely undermined by the fact that the player can only actually get something out of exploring by traveling to the past, which requires going fast for five seconds, which these levels, being more exploration-oriented, just don’t lend themselves to.

Sonic CD feels like one of those bad fan games made by a 14 year old who made something just because they got their hands on a framework. I'd know, man, I WAS that guy, and I'm pretty sure my 14 year old homemade platforming physics stage layout was more comprehensive
I feel like some of the criticisms in this video just come from a hatred towards the game in general causing them to sound more like "this sucks" rather than constructive criticism although for Collision chaos, wacky workbench, and a few other criticisms I can agree with
Like the future sign posts are more meant to be a punishment
But I do you agree with some of the things he said *I hate collision chaos with a passion*
13:35 yup i killed them, and i will do it again sounds like some snapcube sonic fandub stuff
Funny that you say that, since that infamous “Eggman pissing on the moon” speech can be found in the newspaper at the beginning of the video.
Sonic CD is like the first guy to milk a cow. It’s brave, weird, confusing, and really stupid.
And it may have been responsible for a lot of what we can enjoy today, but that particular instance in itself is understandably questionable.
Alax: Sonic CD is the worst classic sonic game.
Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis: Am I a joke to you?
That’s not really a classic Sonic game though. It’s just a really bad port of one.
Unpopular opinion: I have play every classic Sonic games in (mostly mobile and played sonic 3 air illegal), Sonic cd is the best classic Sonic game (beside Mania). Best music in the classic saga, best special stages, creative but kinda easy boss fights, Metal Sonic, Amy Rose maybe..., good game mechanic but confusing to navigate.
Final score: 8,5/10 mostly it was my first sonic game.
If you put "I have come to make an announcement" with that exact picture. I WILL have no choice but to buy it
Yeah I stopped listening to RelaxAlax when he said Sonic CD is worse than Sonic 1.
At least Sonic 1 is playable.
emcee munchapussy So is Sonic CD
@@PETRIXXXX I never liked Sonic CD, so for me I actually prefer Sonic 1
Sonic 1 does suck but in my opinion it's better than CD
Warrior Cat Wrong Opinion
@@PETRIXXXX Dude I can understand how people like it, but it's just not for me, if you like it that's fine but that doesn't mean everyone else has a wrong opinion, I literally said "in my opinion" I never said SOnIc cD iS tRaSh gAm E AnD nO oNe ShOuld li ke iT
I’m surprised this video doesn’t have more dislikes.
Same. But I guess the video had a very lighthearted tone throughout so it didn’t *feel* that offensive for most.
Why tho? Most people in the fandom agree that this game is very flawed.
@@armandotejeda3832 no
Art? Great!
Game design? Non-existent.
Character Artist?Yes.
Game Designer? No
sonic CD should've been titled "sonic's Acid trip"
Cd is still my favorite in the classic series. You cant tell me its worse than 1.
It is worse.
@@SuperSolaris666 nice bait
@@mannycampos6885 Not bait. Sonic 1 is a better designed game than Sonic CD.
@@SuperSolaris666 nice joke. Sonic 1 is just straight lines
@@mannycampos6885 Have you even played Sonic 1? The levels are anything BUT straight lines.
PAST: I’ve never heard of this game.
PRESENT: Glad I have Mania.
BAD FUTURE: I play this with the Apple TV remote.
GOOD FUTURE: I’ve never heard of this game.
8:36 my ears have imploded and i have also made a revelation that relax alax is tone deaf
SkyanUltra do you happen to know what that song is called? I really like it but don’t know the name. The original, not the please stand by version
Bertiboy Cosmic Eternity is the name of the song I believe
@@TailsWorries4YourMentalHealth what he said.
I dont think thats cosmic eternity, it sounds more like just the level complete theme
I used to consider sonic CD my favorite Classic Sonic game, then one day i told myself i was going to finish the game with the true ending.
I spented half an hour moving slowly through Palmtree Panic just to find the god damn metal sonic projector and that weird flower thing, and realized "Oh, this is bad."
Exactly! The moment you try to go after the robot generators, that’s when you really start to notice all the cracks in the seams.
What about getting timestones
@@waff64 Eh, I just consider that method the lesser of two evils.
@@jaredargento1511 I think it’s better when on the remake but I like exploring also you can always retry them so if your having trouble and you think you don’t have enough time turn off the game and return to it
@@waff64 It really wasn’t until Origins that replaying the special stages was an easy option because of the coin system in that game. Even then, I don’t think this one change can save a game that, at its core, tries to have its cake and eat it too.
The final boss was so shit because it was supposed to be a joke boss then the real thing would pop out of the bottom of the screen, but due to time constraints they just left the joke one in there
“Remember when Sonic was cool?”
Stab in the heart right there
SONIC CD WANTS TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION
This is sonic cd
"Sonic CD wants to facetime..."
I think this video was recorded last Friday and here's why:
The Let'sPlay channel Friends Without Benefits was streaming Mario Party 4 when Major disconnected from the game, reverting to the start of one of the turns.
@@x-mighty7602 Sonic Chaos is fun if you go for the chaos emeralds, and yes everyone knows that the master system version is better
Game Gear version is basically "What if we put a Master System game on a handheld console that drains it's own batteries very quickly and make the game basically inferior to the original?".
Yep, plus there's sonic spinball and sonic drift
Knuckles and Chaotix.
14:05 it sounds like he's saying "shut up"
0:58 the ad you're showing is an italian ad. That square logo in the bottom left corner is the logo from Italia 1, an italian TV channel that actually aired Kirby and Sonic X in the early 2000's!
I think sonic 1 is the worst classic game imo, green hill and star light zone are fun stages but the rest are a bit slow and unfun, especially labyrinth ofc
While CD doesn't have the greatest level design, I quite like each stage and the time travel element is neat and adds replayability. JP soundtrack is fire too
8:36 me when i forgot to do my homework
whats the song from 7:48 and 8:37
It’s the level clear theme from Sonic CD’s Japanese soundtrack.
