New Soup U's level designs still have some merit, people are just tired of the same aesthetics again. If the next 2D Mario game was something like the 3D World style in Mario Maker 2, people would be ALL for it.

I think should go for a 2D animated style that they use in a lot of the promotional art. It's really clean and it would be visually pleasing to see in motion, much like cuphead or other similar platformers.
New Soup U's level that looks like a Van Gogh painting should have the same style as the whole game.

Yeah that's why I like him too. He has a sense of humor that was clearly fostered by earlier UA-cam and I like that a lot. He takes that style of video making and runs with it without letting it get too campy. And he actually talks about stuff I like.

Part 1 was a bit tough to watch but, lots of potential and memorable moments.
Part 2 is where is it gets good and takes you along a ride that you thought only mixing mda with Advil will get you.
Part 3 is where everything set in stone and where it becomes more popular. Which was all last year and a bit of 2017. New ideas where mixed in and were successful.
We are in Part 4 now, everything is so stylish and you got the whole town known as Bizzare, Crazy, Alax joining together to create stunning and information filled videos.
Now I can't wait for Part 5 when Alax's hair turns blonde and speaks Italian.
The only UA-camr who still incorporates CDI YTP clips so well in modern society.

Bird Up references are the greatest thing on this Earthette.
10:32 Actually due to a programming error being turned into part of the story, this was actually the case for SMB1. The first seven Bowsers are "fake" bowsers that would turn into the enemies they actually were if killed with fireballs, but the final Bowser in W8 is real. The seven other enemies were just increasing in difficulty to take care of, even though it didn't actually correlate to the fight itself.
Theoretically, these crowns could be stockpiled and Bowser could give them to every single enemy in his army and turn them all into fake bowsers who can all use his powers, from fire breathing to hammer throwing to extremely large durability and a large hitbox accompanied by the ability to jump.
So the Super Crown idea, although clearly retconned in, isn't actually a foreign concept for this series.

I disagree. Levels designed by actual level designers will always be more enjoyable than playing Little Timmy's "A long hallway with 47 Giant Bowsers" and "Don't touch the controller so I can beat the level for you with a whole load of pointless contraptions."

What do you mean what where they thinking? They released this game to cater to the people who wanted to play 2D Mario by releasing this easy to make cheap game that they know they’d want. Waited for several months so it could sell loads of copies, and now that people are thinking about 2D Mario, they reveal that they’re making Mario Maker 2.
This game is like a demo for Mario Maker that also makes Nintendo money.

You... Might've noticed the cutscene in Super Mario Odyssey where Bowser puts the wedding Tiara on Peach's head, whereas she literally wasn't wearing anything on it just earlier. If Peach really was a Toad (imposter) in that graceful human form with the "normal" crown on, she would've been in her Toad form right then. 💕
I recently went back to play Mario 3, and realized the thing with hidden coin stashes in Mario games... in the older, harder ones, oh my god were 1-ups crucial and that meant getting as many coins as possible was super important. Nowadays you clear world 1 and you’ve already hit the life limit, so coins seem pointless (because they are).

I was excited for this game and yes I got it. I didn’t have a Wii U, so any exclusive of that being released for the Switch is great, gives people a chance to play the games they missed out on.
Also, just a general note, I don’t mind rereleases of older games on newer consoles when there is no backwards compatibility. I don’t think they should be full price (so get them once they’re at a cheap discount) but making a bigger library of quality games is always great. Especially feels important on switch as it’s a portable console. So whichever game is being rereleased on it now makes it a portable version you can play on the go.
