Changing for anyone, even if you are trying to be “less emotional” than you naturally are, just means you let society walk all over you. I always wear my heart on my sleeve but I have way too much self-respect to let anyone push me around.

Same here, my parents fought all the time and my mother punished me and my brother. We were made to run errands and do everything for her. While my dad was the Alpha who messed up her brains. So, we were the beta kids.
It really affected my relationship in college and later in life when I wanted emotional connection with my partners. But, then I accepted their behaviour as normal and kept getting pushed. Now after years of healing , self care and meditation. I realised that my parents abused us. My brother got mentally sic k after his breakup and I had to put him in a rehab for months.
It's hard to get over the past, but I found this beautiful lady who loves my company and always takes me in her arms when she see me struggle with my past. Even she was dumped by her ex, but we are both healing together.
With her I find my joy, love and happiness.

I needed more emotional support from both and my mother in later years spent most of her time in bed as a decades long chronic depressive. I don’t find myself to be a strong man and emotionally weak because I didn’t receive the level of emotional support I feel I needed. I’ve attracted codependent damaged people and most have been broken, angry abusive women that had “daddy issues” from what I now think were narcissistic fathers from broken and divorced marriages. I’m well on in years as I have been covertly manipulated and abused financially, emotionally, verbally and in one case physically but she’s passed. I see your point. Weakness invites abuse and disrespect leading me to resentment. I agree men don’t understand your points because he’s confused and reviewing what went wrong with the relationship. I acted like a woman while she was the cold, stoic one. The roles were reversed. And now I understand why she left me and won’t consider reconciliation. She saw that weakness in me and it made me completely unattractive. It hurts that I had to learn the hard way. Great video.

  • @Giardintek

I know it's easier said than done, but without sounding like a wise @ss dude, I can tell you from decades of experience that you should seldom reveal your emotional state to a woman, only show just enough affection to keep her guessing and wondering what she's done wrong. My favorite word works like charm every time, and it's more simple than you'd think. The magic word is: NO !
Women hate it when you set boundaries and you put them in their place, but it works. They might get pissed at you, but coming back to you every time. It's hard, daily work worth trying.
Another trick is leaving for the day and not telling her where you are, while not answering your phone either. Simply not be available to her ! If she asks where you going, just tell her you are busy, will talk later. The more you are avail to her, the more she will crap on you. Don't be a SIMP ! Remember most women aren't the price, You are!
Another golden pill you have to swallow early on in life is; never ever reveal your true financial state to anyone, especially not to a woman.
Remember 9 out of 10, She has absolutely nothing to bring to the table, other being cute. So don't be depressed over a female, she is not worth is, and there is always a better one out there waiting for you, ready to love and provide her devotion.

Often it is a misunderstanding between the genders. When a woman says "I want you to open up - I want you to be vulnerable with me!". More often than not, she wants you to tell her how important she is to you! Remember, they generally see things from their point of view. She is not asking you to dump your insecurities about going bald, or the size of your chop, or your PTSD - on her. Having said that - there is no point dating anyone who you can't open up to. The vast majority of women will use your insecurities against you. How do you find the good ones? You test them. If they want you to be vulnerable - make up a fake insecurity that won't trigger you and then wait for her to use it in your next fight. Lets say you make up that your relationship with your family is rather strained due to x, y, z. You will be shocked how creative they are at using that against you. She might say something like..."You are so controlling! It is no wonder your family disowned you and don't want to be around you!". Then you know to get rid of her. See why it needs to be fake?

I really wanted to know how she feels, thinks , plans for the future etc in order to see if she was a "girlfriend" material but on last date I just realized she wouldn´t. I thought she was going slow as she has just divorced but nah I tested her on the last date asking direct but polite questions and being brutally honest on my opinions to what she did not respond as I expected. However, she wanted to keep going out. No thanks, I know what I want and deserve....

@@MewluMoon It's unfortunate that sometimes the wrong people teach us bad habits just before the right ones come along. This creates confusion because many say they want a partner who is open with them. Yet, when they find such a partner, they often feel repulsed or end the relationship shortly afterward. It seems this can greatly diminish attraction. Perhaps we have differing interpretations of what it means to "open up," or maybe there's some dishonesty involved. Your ex's reaction seems typical, aligning with what many experience. Often, vulnerabilities shared in a relationship are turned against us. Ideally, a mature couple would understand each other's insecurities and either help strengthen those areas or at least safeguard them. I'm disillusioned with modern dating; it often feels like a competition between two adversaries, each trying to contribute the least.

If you grew up without a father, or even worse, with a mother who unjustly and selfishly tried to get you to grow up without a father, it’s going to be a very long and arduous journey to get to the point where you want/need to be in this regard. Some of us may be too far gone and never recover. I think what the “manosphere” needs right now are guys who can tell us not that this is where we are, but can guide us and tell us what we need to do to get to where we need to be. Unfortunately, there seem to be a shortage of men like this out there, probably because this is unprecedented territory for a society, and also because not many men have succeeded thus far in accomplishing that.

Ok, I'm guilty of this, way back, when I was young, dumb, and selfish. Now I understand the pain I inflicted upon a man who loved me unconditionally. And gave me the world. Unfortunately, Karma caught up with me quicker than the speed of light, which lasted over a decade of pain and suffering. I will never hurt anyone like that ever again. I'd rather be alone for the rest of my life.❤ I felt his pain.....

Had a girlfriend staying the night one time. I woke up crying because I was having a dream about my father passing away, which had happened a couple years prior. She woke up as well, saw me crying, and was cold to me from then on. We broke up a week later. They don't love you, they love how you make them feel. The second they think you are vulnerable, they dry out for you. Good luck out there lads.

Depends on what women do you mean. Men tend to hit on women 20,30 years younger and expect maturity and respect from them. Date your age or close to your age and you will see how everything will fall into place.

    * You know how women test men? Well, bursting into tears in front of a women is a GREAT test. Because it will show you if she is strong enough to support you through your greatest burdens. Women who are NOT strong in this, are also those who will break when it comes to "Worst" (for better or worst). All men have a breaking point, and when we choose not to cry-the very next emotion to come out is rage full anger. And the irony is women will choose a man who is a rager over one who cries. Go figure.
The woman who can support an emotional man, is one who is authentic as the nurturing healer.
    * The single mother cannot teach her son of the Sacred Masculine, and the single father cannot teach his daughter that of the Sacred Feminine.
If you don't have this teacher, find one or borrow your friends parent. Grandparents are the ones who carry the teachings of "Moral Grounding", and you'll know when you've found them because they have a calming effect... When you let your guard down.

Well, I'm watching this video, and I am thinking in regard to raising children, that you have to give them a bit of "lead on the leash", figuratively speaking, as long as it doesn't put them in a situation of danger to life or limb, (ha!), so they can get their own experience of how life works. Example: my daughter wanted to get a job, so we let her...she was able to drive, but was still in high school, so she went to work for a pretty popular sandwich shop chain. She started closing for them, and it wasn't that late at night, but late enough for me, to where when she got off work, even though she had a car, I was right there in the parking lot when she got off work. If anyone tried anything, I would have probably ran that person over, and wouldn't have thought twice about it. I know after a certain amount of time, you gotta eventually let go, because they are going to do what they want, but hopefully as they are growing, you can exercise in them the results that come with making choices that will help them have a great life, and be able to do well on their own. I don't think a parent can ever fully "let go" of them until the parent dies, though...at least I can't really imagine that being a possibility.
