honestly, i agree with your opinion on super lady, especially on what you said about the high note at the beginning. the thing is that it sounded like soyeon was really hurting her voice by hitting that high note. and if that high note is really hurting her voice, it might be dangerous since it can lead to her vocal cords being damaged. apparently for different vocal ranges, high notes can be different, for example: a high note for Taylor Swift is nothing compared to Ariana Grande's because her vocal range is higher. it would've been cool if soyeon kind of looked for high notes within the members vocal range so that it would be comfortable for them to hit those high notes easily (or at least not to the point that it can strain their voice)

I agree the high note at the intro was too jarring... her tone is too high so even though you can hit a high note, doesn't mean it sounds good. It also sounds very strained and as if she's shouting. The song had potential, but it seemed very choppy.
Honestly I love "noise music" but super lady was not it. It's an ok song at it's best but really when the first time i heard it i had to pause because it literally felt too piercing for the ears. It felt like the instrumentals and the vocals didn't go well together. And it definitely felt lacking and that chorus is beyond disappointing. The b-sides are much better tho and dare i say it wife is better than super lady. The concept behind the song is a harsh reality and its amazing that soyeon decided to bring light to this topic but the dilevery is not it.(btw the mv is a slayy)6/10 for me too because its not the worse but i was expecting more. All night was a disappointment. Considering I've's discography, i was like what is this. i never went back to that song since it was released. Also i thought it was a remixx not a remake. I felt Super Lady was giving me TWICE vibes with the quality of those notes. I love TWICE, but let’s be real here about the fact that they have yet to deliver a quality encore stage for a reason and that’s because JYP forces them to sing outside of their range. Also the amount of nonsensical adlibs - “Ha na dul set” “I’m fearless” “Ready to shoot” like bruh The only song that felt like an actual successful, purposeful collaboration to me with a black artist was XG’s “Left Right” remix with Ciara (and Jackson Wang ofc.) Their collab with Rico Nasty on Shooting Star is a close second as well since it actually sounded smart like Rico Nasty’s style really suits the song perfectly. I’m honestly tired of K-Pop companies trying to slide into the Western market with a collab that makes no sense on a professional or musical level.

I was introduced to K-Pop around the beginning of 4th gen, right within EVERGLOW's debut, so there was no nostalgia factor for me with this G-IDLE new song; I also felt it sounded bland and the high notes x rap role switching between Soyeon and Minnie didn't turn out that great. The visuals also lacked color variation and the dance club "hair flip go crazy" choreo also rubbed me the wrong way. I love the girls but this time's comeback really wasn't for me. 2:56 - I also heavily agree with this. G-IDLE went through a "concept loss" after Soojin left, her being such an elegant main dancer and pivotal to hold the group's past mysthic, mysterious and emotional concepts together, they were amazingly executed, and it balanced it out nicely with Soyeon's boldness. After that they managed to get over the hate and remain relevant by playing the "concept chameleon", which is... Risky, I'd say. There were many incredible songs, but this lack of consistency can only take you so far. It's pretty normal and expected for them to have an odd release once in a while. "You can't always win", as they say.

honestly, i agree with your opinion on super lady, especially on what you said about the high note at the beginning. the thing is that it sounded like soyeon was really hurting her voice by hitting that high note. and if that high note is really hurting her voice, it might be dangerous since it can lead to her vocal cords being damaged. apparently for different vocal ranges, high notes can be different, for example: a high note for Taylor Swift is nothing compared to Ariana Grande's because her vocal range is higher. it would've been cool if soyeon kind of looked for high notes within the members vocal range so that it would be comfortable for them to hit those high notes easily (or at least not to the point that it can strain their voice)

I agree the high note at the intro was too jarring... her tone is too high so even though you can hit a high note, doesn't mean it sounds good. It also sounds very strained and as if she's shouting. The song had potential, but it seemed very choppy.
Honestly I love "noise music" but super lady was not it. It's an ok song at it's best but really when the first time i heard it i had to pause because it literally felt too piercing for the ears. It felt like the instrumentals and the vocals didn't go well together. And it definitely felt lacking and that chorus is beyond disappointing. The b-sides are much better tho and dare i say it wife is better than super lady. The concept behind the song is a harsh reality and its amazing that soyeon decided to bring light to this topic but the dilevery is not it.(btw the mv is a slayy)6/10 for me too because its not the worse but i was expecting more.
All night was a disappointment. Considering I've's discography, i was like what is this. i never went back to that song since it was released. Also i thought it was a remixx not a remake. It's literally the same as the original song but starship never mentioned that anywhere.

I love TWICE, but let’s be real here about the fact that they have yet to deliver a quality encore stage for a reason and that’s because JYP forces them to sing outside of their range. The only song that felt like an actual successful, purposeful collaboration to me with a black artist was XG’s “Left Right” remix with Ciara (and Jackson Wang ofc.) Their collab with Rico Nasty on Shooting Star is a close second as well since it actually sounded smart like Rico Nasty’s style really suits the song perfectly. I’m honestly tired of K-Pop companies trying to slide into the Western market with a collab that makes no sense on a professional or musical level.
When I first heard super lady, I honestly thought it was bad and I was never going to listen to it again. Some parts were good, but the beginning ruined the whole song. It just made me not want to listen to it again. How sad they wasted a lot of money on this video.

I was introduced to K-Pop around the beginning of 4th gen, right within EVERGLOW's debut, so there was no nostalgia factor for me with this G-IDLE new song; I also felt it sounded bland and the high notes x rap role switching between Soyeon and Minnie didn't turn out that great. The visuals also lacked color variation and the dance club "hair flip go crazy" choreo also rubbed me the wrong way. I love the girls but this time's comeback really wasn't for me.
2:56 - I also heavily agree with this. G-IDLE went through a "concept loss" after Soojin left, her being such an elegant main dancer and pivotal to hold the group's past mysthic, mysterious and emotional concepts together, they were amazingly executed, and it balanced it out nicely with Soyeon's boldness. After that they managed to get over the hate and remain relevant by playing the "concept chameleon", which is... Risky, I'd say. There were many incredible songs, but this lack of consistency can only take you so far. It's pretty normal and expected for them to have an odd release once in a while. "You can't always win", as they say.
Yeah when I first listened to kpop, Gidle was the worst group I'd ever heard due to the weird lyrics and instrumentals. I like some of their songs but they still haven't grown on me too much.
