edge is just concerned with proving he can still "go" and not with how he can help get guys over or get himself over.
I think this describes a lot of the older talent in AEW to be honest. It’s like these talents go there and have some kind of career identity crisis or something. Same could be said for Sting, Jericho, Christian, etc. They all want to be part of the cool kids club before their careers are over. In the process they’re ruining their legacies a bit.
The only thing missing was the table wasn't on fire, then it would be his match with mick Foley from wrestlemania, except its nearly 20 years later
I think after the Cody fire table spot even aew knows they shouldn't try fire twice. But then again there was the nick Wayne flaming table botch........ God aew is redundant

Edge in AEW has been a disappointment. His feud with Christian was bungled thanks to the inclusion of the dinosaur and Nick Wayne. Why were they part of that story? So dumb.
Now he just has 15-20 minute matches with every random person. It's great for those guys to learn from Edge, but it's all meaningless for the people watching. There's a reason why the ratings always go down when Edge is on screen. There's no aura with him anymore.
That's the problem with the company. Not enough actual talent to fill a card and not the sense to not mix the people that don't belong on TV with the stars. Christian cut some great promos and sounded good when Jim was reacting to the wank fest for the indy press after a show, almost made me interested enough to watch but before I got around to it Christian was talking about Nick Wayne then into a storyline with Nick Wayne's mom and how fucking mentally damaged do you have to be to want to watch this show?

Luchasaurus looks amazing, and does NOTHING Nick Wayne--too many 'kid' looking wrestlers all around on AEW and Nick Wayne's mom should not be on TV.

Jim actually preparing for the "unexpected overrun" is the most important part of this upload.
Its a matter of time before Tony Klown starts paying the fans to come to his shows so he doesn't have constantly empty arenas. The AEW mouth breathers still worshiping that circus of a company can only hope for such a thing
It's only television, with nothing major on the line, so why did Brody King 'gig' to the point that it was like visiting a SLAUGHTERHOUSE? One of the things Jim points out that's severely lacking in AFW, and that's lack of Ring Psychology.

Alright, imma be the contrarian here and say that there's not much wrong with Copeland in AEW. Now I won't say that the writing for him has been good, and some of the booking for his matches have been questionable. However, seeing people say that Copeland is just pissing his legacy away seriously need to stop.
Nah ever since his debut in AEW Edge have been doing absolutely nothing worth in AEW, he is not contributing to the business, he has been part of major mediocre storylines and part of garbage matches. None of talents that work with him is benefitting, he is having with programs with wrestlers that that are won't draw or not ready.
If anything its kinda exposed Edge ability, Christian Cage on the other hand had done some of the best works as singles star, his booking maybe be meh at times but he sure looks league bounds above Edge in AEW. Infact Christian as veteran in AEW is way superior than Edge and Jericho.

AEW has proved one thing to me: the sheer number of professional wrestlers with established global recognition willing to destroy their legacies for a big wad of money. Everyone really _does_ have a price.
AEW extends the careers of alot of guys who are past their prime. And they get that last big contract to fund them into retirement. If nothing else they deserve a thank you for all the charity work they do.
This match was so bad, UA-cam didn't even want to show the video. How the mighty Edge has fallen. The Cope Open is one of the dumbest things ever. Then just when you thought the show was over, they go into a pointless overrun of Kyle O'Reilly wanting a match. All so we can get the "Spooky Edge" WWE said no to, to set up a match against Malakai "I Refuse to Lose" Black at the PPV.
I know he is old and probably demoralized like the rest of the roster, his ego probably a bit bruised, but man he looks so tired.
Brody King could be good television.
Adam is losing his edge. His been in AEW for 3 or so months but isn’t cutting edge. I wonder how those AEW fans are gonna cope with another WWE-AEW failure.

I just watched the match. Dynamite Kid is another small, unimpressive looking, flippy guy and the match was overly long, overly choreographed, had no story, and they botched the finish. I don't understand what criteria AEW fans use to determine if a match is "great" or not.

His feud with The Undertaker was an interesting time to watch him in my opinion. But The Undertaker carried him in that feud.
Edge typically has the character and charisma of the person next to him, in a company with talent that's fine. In AEW not so much.

Edge is having 20 minute exhibition of moves and surprise surprise no one cares. AEW proves every week what geniuses WWE are for getting people over who if left to their own devices are bland move performers with no star power or charisma.
The thing is, if he wanted to get away from WWE to do new things why's still using his spear as a finisher!??
Even the Undertaker and John Cena tried new moves occasionally to make an impression...

Edge was never a Top Guy. He was on the B show & was WHC after that Title was severely devalued into being the (Not A)World HeavyWeight Title or the WWE international HeavyWeight Championship. Upper Mid Card to Lower Upper Card at best. & the BS with Vickie trying to get reHeat from Lita the Ho
With Adam and Danielson history of injuries and neck issues, im not sure why that want to take those high risk maneuvers in AEW but thas just me. Whatever makes them happy. I just cringe watching ot reason why I stopped watching aew

And guess what we got on "Collision", three days later? 19 minutes of the same plodding Cope-crap with Kyle O'Reilly. I'm almost more tired of Not-Edge already, than I'm of Jericunt.
Meanwhile half of the AEW roster that isn't injured currently, sits around doing nothing, wondering if they're ever going to get at least a two-minute squash loss in 2024.

This is such a shame. And the mockery of someone who was a if jot THE favourite of mine growing up, plus that amaxing return at Rumble... It saddens me to say it, but the mockery is well deserved.
Firstly the matches have mostly veen just ok to good at best, and just boring at worst.
Bigger problem is he wrestles every single week and everyatch is the same boring ass flavour of modern wrestling particularlt in AEW, 15 minutes with the bavk and forth forearms and many other tired out old tropes (thanks for that AEW Cody) and i just am not willing to make time for that.
Idk about the rest of you, but if fortunes switched and all of a sudden Impwct became really hot akin to WWE, then they would have my attention. I am not loyal to any promotion. I just watch whoever is drawing me in and WWE have never had me as drawn in now than ever before (been watching on and off since 2003 only though, im still only half cooked lmao)

Why is Edge calling out King? He should be calling out someone with a belt or a major heel for some slight. Edge vs Jericho or Black is fine but Brody King. The booking is atrocious
