In this episode, we start to sketch out a range of garment designs based on our clients brief and our mood boards (inspirational imagery that we have collected from Pinterest). We talk about fashion templates, where to find them and how to use them, to quickly sketch and create fashion illustrations of your garment. We then discuss how to develop your designs further, by combining elements of your existing designs, to create hybrids which eventually lead to your finished design.

Our next episode will detail how we scan these illustrations into Adobe Illustrator and then digitise them for presentation purposes. We also show you how to add colour and prints. It's a lot of fun but quite an intense tutorial.
