Yeah he had me instantly ready to fight him, because those were my favorite cookie but now, i dunno. They are definitely really good (but unhealthy) Granola Chunks
Not sure if it counts as a Midnight Hunt card, but I've had a lot of fun with Empty the Laboratory from the Zombie precon Commander deck. Getting to turn decayed tokens into actual Zombies from my deck is like exchanging oatmeal lumps for an equal amount of actual cookies.
Dear Remy, It has come to my attention that you wish to know what my favorite Innistrad: Midnight Hunt card is, and you also appear to have made an inquiry with regards to my least favorite food. I'm flattered, if not surprised, by your interest and I will gladly answer both of your questions. My favorite card from the newest Magic set is The Meathook Massacre as in addition to its powerful effect, it also sparks the imagination regarding the circumstances in which the massacre in question has occurred. As for your second question, I would have to say fish, as I am allergic thereto and just generally don't like the smell. Hopefully, your interest is now sated. Best regards, Ariurotl
Ah, We are graced by your most adroit and well composed reply! In the spirit of same I shall endeavor to share my own picks for this topic to follow: The card: Wrens and Seven because it is a seedless dryad/ Ent conjoined twin monster who breaks open the lock on the gates of vale town just by existing. It also has quite interesting art and the character is cool. The food: Cherries. Cherries are the worst berry and second only to cantaloupe among the gross fruits. They are literally the pits, have a gross skin, are overly priced and in conjunction with milk, have killed an American President. Fuck cherries.
I like to imagine the meathook massacre as a junji ito type eldritch event One day meathooks begin to appear around the city, and the folk of the town have an immediate primal understanding; meat must hang from each hook, or else there will be trouble First they sacrifice all their livestock, but it's not enough, there are still more hooks Then they hunt all the local game but there are still more hooks Next the prison is emptied and the criminals are hung up, but there are still more hooks It's said that no one lives in that village anymore, and no one dares to visit because there are still more hooks
I have to agree with your stance on cookies as I can relate to it every time I log onto a website. "Do I agree to accept our cookies? Yes! Please give them to me!" But I receive no cookies, I only allow corporations to discover how sad and lonely I truly am... That's why I wanted the cookies to begin with :(

Vivisection is my favorite reprint in the set (originally from Mirrodin Besieged), but my favorite card from the set is Defenestrate, because I like words that are very specific also removal is nice. Also I agree with the opinions on no-bake cookies, in fact I was about to go make some snickerdoodles Vivisection : the practice of performing operations on live animals for the purpose of experimentation or scientific research (used only by people who are opposed to such work). Or Ruthlessly sharp and detailed criticism or analysis. Defenestrate: to throw (someone) out of a window. Or to remove or dismiss (someone) from a position of power or authority.
In the recipe for no-bakes that we have, it isn't called a cookie. While I don't agree with the "oatmeal lump" analysis, it isn't a cookie either. It is, in fact, a chocolate. The ingredients of it include cocoa powder, sugar, and salt; all of which are ingredients in chocolate. In fact, there are some chocolates with oats in them that are quite popular. The only difference between this and chocolates are that this has both oats and peanut butter, making it much more delicious than your average chocolate.
My favorite card in Midnight Hunt has been Liesa, Forgotten Archangel. I’ve put it in a couple of decks; Angel tribal and a blood on the snow deck and it’s been a card that performs very well in both. It also allows me to shut down people that are using death triggers in their decks and thwart graveyard play on their creatures which seems to be kinda popular right now. It’s been a card that generates a lot of value for me and I love it a lot.
"I want to complain about cookies....Hey, there's a card that I can make an easy vasectomy joke about, and it has a decent mechanic, this is my chance!" Never change Remy, you're perfect.
Triskadekaphile has got to be my favorite card from the set. A permanent that had a card draw ability you can sink you extra mana into, no maximum hand size, a win condition, and some flavor for my favorite number.
On that same subject... Oreos. I love me an Oreo. I'll be okay with a thin Oreo. If you give me a coconut-creme Oreo, I will leave and never speak to you again. Which is actually a blessing.
NGL, you had me instantly angry at no bake cookies are bad, but then hearing your explanation, and I'm changing my favorite cookie from no bake to something else, because you're right. No Bake Cookies are just unhealthy granola bars
My favorite segment returns! The card I like best from Midnight Hunt is Cathar Commando. As a big fan of alliteration and value-driven two drops, this card has it all. And from the looks of the art, if I were wearing that much armor, I'd be tempted to go commando too.
I really like geistwave, it is not very special and flashy card, but it is so versitile for its cost, it's crazy how much this card can do. I know it is no unique effect but the card draw is so significant imo. And it scales very well with deck's power mainly ofc EDH.
I really liked this; the rant didn't go from 0 to 100, or tried to go over the top or uncover something that you hint at at the start (like your wife cheating on you or something similar), but it just continues for a long time in a calm manner about a tiny pet peeve, and it's wonderfully done. Half absurd, half hilarious.
I knew Remy was a baseball fan but... Remy is a BRAVES FAN! This is absolutely incredible! My love for this channel grows more. Also, least favorite food is probably beets. I would not care if beets were exterminated.
The card I like best is defenestrate, solely for the name. As for food I like least, any kind of processed cheese product, like individually wrapped singles, for example, for the same reason as the no bake cookies really. Its not real cheese and if someone asks if I want cheese on a sandwich or burger and pulls out a kraft single, I'm instantly disappointed because I thought I was getting cheese
Card I like most is Old Stickfingers. I always tell people the graveyard is my second library and a card that fills it faster is always welcome in my deck list. 100% agree with everything you said about cookies. If you give me a lump of oatmeal and tell me it's a cookie I will throw it out the nearest window. A squirrel will enjoy it more.
The card I like most is slogruk and the food I like least is stuffed mushrooms. Mushrooms already ride the line between food classifications, but when you stuff them, it brings a whole different level of confusion to the party, and my head just can't handle that
I also like draw three cards, but this is quite a hefty cost. 3 for 4 mana is on par with harmonize, but then there is that additional cost that is a bit too much imho. Would rather have seen "then put one card on top of library".
Technically, Vivisection is a reprint--it was first printed in Mirrodin Besieged. Definitely fits the horror theme though! My favorite card in the set is Infernal Grasp just because it's such a good rate for an unconditional removal spell, but flavorwise I far prefer Defenestrate, and I'm extremely happy that we actually have a card with that name now.
It literally has "cook" in the name. No-roast pot roast is my favorite. I like to eat it with no-mash potatoes. And for desert a delicious oatmeal clump. Yum yum
Triskaidekaphile is far and away my favorite card in Innistrad: Midnight Hunt. It's got good stats (1/3 for 2 mana), Wizards are a relative tribe, no maximum hand size is a good effect (see Req Tower and Thought Vessel), 4 mana for one card is inefficient but a decent mana sink, and getting 13 cards in your hand is by no means unachievable, especially in blue. I'm just happy that I appear to be alone in these opinions, because it somehow only costs 25 cents to buy right now!
