The card I like best in Streets of New Capenna is Witness Protection. The effect is fine, it's not super powerful, but it turns a creature into a Legitimate Businessperson, which is one of the funniest things they've ever put on a Magic card.
Yeah, just regular fruit is superfood to me. There have been studies that say that the #1 cause of death in the west is people not eating enough fruit. Plus they're delicious -- most people love bananas. (Tip: they're not ripe until the peel is mostly black.)
@@lightworker2956 i thought a couple months ago I was going to try to be healthier and start eating some fresh fruit everyday and I gained fifteen pounds in one month!
Kale's been a fantastic part of soul food for basically forever. Saute some kale in ham fat and serve alongside your main and be in heaven. Hipsters discovered kale and just fucked it all up.
Fun fact, before Kale caught on as a super food, it was primarily used as visual dressing at buffet tables. Just there to look pretty, not to be eaten.
Fun fact(?), before kale caught on as visual dressing, it was a huge stable in the diet of poor and lower middle class people all over Northern Europe and Russia...
Fun fact, before Kale caught on as a super food, it was primarily used by my grandma to cook me delicious traditional dishes. It's funny though, how the food poor people used to eat is hailed as the best now. Now let me enjoy this Dominos pizza.
I just want someone to explain to me why it doesn't work that way. Like really, why does me eating the animal not count? I would expect the cool nutritional stuff to be diluted of course, but damn, kale is nasty!
If your food is too nutrient rich, your body won't be able to process it all. You waste more energy processing the food than you get in benefits from the food. This is why obligate carnivores exist. This is also why you can't get iron by just _eating_ iron, which would mathematically be the most efficient method.
I mean the grass is right there. If your hungry, it seems largely inefficient to for me to feed a bunch of grass to a cow and wait until it gets big enough to eat. Maybe I'm too impatient.
Card I like best from New Capenna is Ognis, the Dragon’s Lash, building an Act of Treason based Commander deck around it. Otherwise, love the talking building, will probably make its way into my Simic Commander deck
Favorite new card: Shadow of Mortality. I have absolutely no clue if this card will be really good or really bad. Least favorite superfood: quinoa. I guarantee that I can find better tasting dirt.
Not my favorite card of the set, but I do like Shadow of Mortality. I just like that it's a riff on Death's Shadow from Worldwake. I'm delighted by the creativity of the design; it's the same concept doing similar things and yet is different.
I mostly agree to the superfood statement - it can't be super if it tastes so bad you don't want to eat it! The card I like best is Reservoir Kraken - I play a lot of commander and it is a cool beatdown treat in a mono blue deck that in worst case spams the board with unblockable creatures. Turning them into cephalides e.g. makes Aboshan happy :)
My favorite card is definitely Goldhound. The 1 mana good boy with first strike and menace is just to precious (pun intended). While I try to avoid kale with a passion, my rabbit loves it, so I have to go with quinoa as the superfood I like least.
The card I like best is the get out of jail card, since I stopped playing Magic but I still follow your channel and like your videos (this is a crime) and the superfood I like less is chia. Thanks for the great content.
That creature looks dope, can't wait to play it. I enjoy not looking at what cards are in upcoing releases and instead buying a bunch of packs in Arena on release day and get surprised at what they contain, and over the next week or two, learn the new set through playing. Lots of interesting surprises and neat combos to be surprise by and delight at, even if i'm on the losing side!
There are so many cards in New Capenna that I'm excited for it's really hard to choose. So I think I'll just put down the colour fixer creatures: Masked Bandits, Rakish Revelers etc. 2 to expand a land's colour? w/ the only way getting rid of the effect is by either casting the card from exile (which you could use that fixed land to do!) or destroying the land, which New Capenna has none of.
An apple and a handful of almonds will keep you going longer than a cup of coffee. All the perk, none of the crash. Oh, and the card I like best from SNC is Obscura Charm, because it can flash in a Teferi, Time Raveler or a Dakkon, Shadow Slayer at the end of my opponent's turn. That and Vivien on the Hunt. Combo decks for the win!
The Card I like best is definitely "Hold for Ransom" Not only is it a fantastic card, to me, it just summarises the set so well as to theme and tone. Plus potential card draw for white is always nice!
Chia seeds an quinoa are quite tasty. Kale would be the one that I like the least. My favorite card from New Capenna is "An offer you can't refuse". What can I tell. I like cheap counterspells
Raffine’s Tower - An Esper triome that cycles!! Yes please :) Oh and the worst super food is bee pollen. Stop messing with bees. We take their honey. Now we want their pollen? Outrageous :)
Kale tastes best when it is harvested after a frost. The starches convert into sugars and it tastes sweet and tender and delicious. You also can’t just treat kale like lettuce, like a lot of Americans do. It’s more like broccoli or cabbage than lettuce, and you have to prepare it in similar ways.
The card I like best from SNC is Jaxis, the Troublemaker, because they just look like they're having a great time. And also because they'll make a great edition to my Brudiclad deck. The super food I like best is quinoa. Works very well as a base for curries.
I'm a Corpse Explosion fan, it's a 3 mana pseudo board wipe used with a big power creature. I'm looking at Kroxa in pioneer and some other stuff in maybe a self mill reanimator jund pile for standard.
Jetmir, Nexus of Revels: when nacatl war tribe just isn't busted enough on its own! Also, kale chips can actually be pretty tasty if you season them well. Don't know if baking them destroys the super-ness of the food but that's my two cents on the matter.
My favorit as far as I have seen is probably: Void rend... instant speed, gets rid of nearly anything it's super versatile. If it removed from the game it would be one of my favorit cards ever.
Potato is the real super food. It always tastes good AND you can do everything with it. Boil, broil, sauté, deep fry, air fry, bake, twice bake, mash, stewify, grill, smoke, and, best of all, ferment it into vodka.
The Card I Like Best from this set is probably Ob Nixilis, the Adversary. Rakdos Discard has been a favorite deck of mine since Kroxa was in standard, and Ob makes your opponent discard twice each turn (when you use casualty) and has incidental lifegain. Also, he looks great in a chalkstripe suit. I admire his self confidence.
I'm an old school player who recently got into Pauper, so Crooked Custodian for being 3/2 for 2 mana with a negligible downside. Honorable Mention goes out to the common dual lands that you can sac to draw a card. I generally like superfoods- except for Green Tea. And I really don't know why it has to go into chocolate, coffee, and other already great drinks and desserts.
Slip Out The Back for me. Been using mono-blue wizards and trying to abuse proliferate and +1/+1 counters, with the use of Teferi's Time Twist and Planar Incision to get my dudes out of trouble from time to time. Problem is, those cards exile the card and remove all my hard-earned counters. Slip Out The Back gets my dudes out of trouble but keeps all my counters intact in the process.
Angel of Despair looks super cool. 1, cause it's a mono black angel, and 2, cause self mill is cool, and 3, because it can prevent you from taking too much damage, which enables you to pay more life for other effects. Urabrask also looks sick, because it's card draw hate in mono red, and it gives you advantage while being a decently sized hasty creature. Mushrooms are my least favorite superfood, because they have a weird squishy texture, and they taste weird.
My favourite card from new capenna has got to be body count, if we include the commander cards I don’t have a least favourite super food because super foods don’t exist, it’s just wording made to get your attention & interest you to buy it, the same way almost every book in a bookstore is a “number 1 New York Times best seller” “Super foods” don’t really have that much nutrition, a lot of it is lost in the storage that allows it to be sold during seasons when it doesn’t grow, as well as your body only absorbing a bit of the nutrients

I don't know if strawberries are considered a superfood, but I can say that I am a friend for fresh plucked strawberries, and my bunners like the leaves, so that's our pick for today

Turning Emrakul into a Legitimate Businessperson with Zur feels like an episode of Regular show
@@Tirvops OMFG YES
Amazing pick, thank you
it also removes their card types, so no need for march of the machines/neurok transmitter anymore. Very interesting that it does that.-
Also, you could give every card the nickname Michael!
Blueberries are a superfood and they're pretty good especially if you add a ton of sugar, fat, and cakey stuff to make a cobbler out of them.
IDK man I actually like blueberries raw to some degree. More as a breakfast side dish or a snack though.
Also are one of the greatest thing to eat IMO. They are the good part of superfood.
Yeah, just regular fruit is superfood to me. There have been studies that say that the #1 cause of death in the west is people not eating enough fruit. Plus they're delicious -- most people love bananas. (Tip: they're not ripe until the peel is mostly black.)

Don't ruin Fruit on cake
This is exactly why I have trust issues, people were all over kale like it's the best food ever, and so I tried it.
Now you have mortal enemies lol
Kale's been a fantastic part of soul food for basically forever. Saute some kale in ham fat and serve alongside your main and be in heaven. Hipsters discovered kale and just fucked it all up.
I actually like that taste of 9 Volt battery.
What the hell are you talking about? Kale isn't shit, it's _the_ shit!
Absolutely my favorite series on here. You should do some retro cards I like best and pretend to be from the year they came out
oooo yes yes
"You did not pay property taxes, and now you must pay!" That's what I imagine the Titan saying LoL
"Time for _real estate_ to own _YOU!_ Muahahahahaha!"
Fun fact, before Kale caught on as a super food, it was primarily used as visual dressing at buffet tables. Just there to look pretty, not to be eaten.
Fun fact(?), before kale caught on as visual dressing, it was a huge stable in the diet of poor and lower middle class people all over Northern Europe and Russia...
so you feel healthy while eating the fat under it? nice

"The cow at grass and you ate the cow" "Transitive Property" lmao
YOOOOO, this one stood out to me as pushing boundaries of what an elemental can be
I love the concrete element
"The cow ate grass and you ate the cow."
I see that you're a fan of the card Food Chain.
I know what a building would say if it could talk.
"Don't be racist, I am a building."

"The cow eats grass and I eat the cow"
As expected of a green player, you are very in touch with the (fast)food chain.
I like this segment. Quite a refreshing change from the normal set review videos :)
spirulina is amazing for you. easy add to protein shakes. super cheap. convenient
wise words my friend. and burgers got loads of vegetables in them if you think about it
My preferred superfood is a French Fry sandwich. Just grab me some thick bread, a hot basket of fries, and there you have a superfood special.
The cow eat grass and you eat the cow 😂😂 best logic I’ve ever heard! Never eating grass again 😂
you really dont get enough props remy. so, props to you for the all laughs you give. thank you.
Remy:
"If there is [...] a superfood you like least, lettuce know in the comments below."

“Choose two” but really it’s just two scoops of orange chicken.

Quinoa is the kind of food that's not bland, but _unsullied by flavor._
Like pasta, rice, or soy, it's all about the spices that go along with it.
The last second, "transitive property," was brilliant!
Omg just these random food talks, they're so brilliant and refreshing 😂😂
Bonecrusher Giant clearly bottled up all that anger from those mean tweets and went on to become a Titan of Industry.
I really like witness protection! It's a solid removal staple in any edh deck that is on a budget such as my edh drake tribal.
