he shouldn't have been able to buy the team initially its just he was roommates with the baseball commissioner in college and so his lower bid was accepted.
I love the splicer cycle from Scars block, but haven't ever found a good home for them. Brenard, Ginger Sculptor is perfect for them, so that's the card I like best.
It's so funny imagining these phyrexian splicers, with all the gruesome talent to create golems out of flesh and machine, not feeling like they have a purpose because they have no leader. And then comes this wholesome baker from Eldraine ready to finally give them purpose in life.
I ended up using Ich-Tekik & Akiri Partners for my Splicer deck. There's no blue in that combo, but it covers most of them. It's also great getting to play Winota in the 99, since most of the splicers are human and also bring non-human friends. It's also a deck that runs a ton of Clue/Food/Treasure synergies. Kind of a two-for-one deal.
Blossoming Tortoise is quickly becoming The Card I Like Best. It's just so positive and generous. Practically costs nothing at all at four mana, you drop him on the board and that chill ass MFer mills you three and puts a land into play to use later in the game. And you also get this adorable little 3/3 that can buff your creature lands but usually is too harmless to be removed. I am literally never sad when Blossoming Tortoise is on board. IDK if he's gonna make it into the metagame or not but for now he (or she) is a pretty chill card
I'd say as long as no one is EXCESSIVELY hating on the players when they are doing alright, it's perfectly fine to wear your away team's stuff, cheer for them, and boo at bad calls/plays. The atmosphere of a game is great that way. It's when you start heckling the other players as they switch sides or players to the point of being rude over being in good sportsmanship spirits that gets me. Although, to be honest, if the home team is doing great, it just makes it funny to have the away fans there. When home is losing, I guess they need some booing to make them wanna get the cheers going again by playing great. So yeah not rude at all to be there supporting your team.
Talion, the Kindly Lord is my favorite new card from Wilds of Eldraine. As for the opposing fan question: I believe when visiting a stadium it is perfectly acceptable to root for your team over the home team, but it is a little rude to boo or heckle. If it’s the playoffs, however, all bets are off.
I'm not a big sportsball person, but I've been to a few games with friends and seeing some people cheer for the opposite team seems to get us only fired up! I don't think cheering for the away team lessens the experience of the home team cheer squad. If anything, it might heighten it! Also my fave card is Tough Cookie because....I mean just look at him. What a guy.
Remy is so good at playing different characters that I cant tell if he is himself or playing a character in any video. Now I just default to assuming its a character
I'm with you on Hylda, it's a super cool card and I've been thinking of building an EDH deck around it. Regarding the sports fan thing, I just think many sports fans at stadiums are rude in general. The people on the field have poured their hearts and souls into the game and are genuinely just trying to play well and do what they do best. So many fans see this as a reason to insult or berate those players though, even when the event could've been an opportunity to bring together two groups of people who share the love of a sport.
I played the blue/white tap deck in the pre-release and it worked really well. Sharae of numbing depths is another UB legendary who works well in the archetype. Hylda is nice as a commander though, and you can also include her fancy hat, which is amazing as you can just tap down one of your opponents creatures every turn. I pulled it in the pre-release and every one of my opponents hated it!
I like Twining Twins because I went 2-1, almost 3-0, for prerelease thanks to its might as a 4 MV 4/4 Flying, Vigilance, ward (1). It turns on at least a 5 turn timer as most enemies didn't have flying, it kept up a beefy defense, and ward (1) protected it just enough that I was able to find counter spells in time to keep it out and kicking.
I'm weirdly fond of Stormkeld Vanguard. Sorcery speed on Bear Down is kinda eh but it is a Disenchant that draws a really big guy in the late game. If you can get any value off the body at all it seems worthwhile.
Thanks Remy. I really enjoy your videos. Cheering for an opposing team generally does little in the grand scheme of things to help a team to win. In large masses, cheering can help boost team confidence, but one person out of 100,000 will get drowned out or make you look weird. It's not wrong, but there's minimal benefit. Kind of like voting Libertarian.
When the visiting team boos your team at your stadium increases the enjoyment if anything, especially if you're winning. There's nothing better that watching people who enthusiastically flew in from Minnesota tell you how terrible your team is while they're losing to it.
Wanting to stop people from cheering for the opposing team is one of those things that seems like a good idea when you're losing but would really remove a lot of the spirit from sports and make it a lot less fun. We all need a villain and the many small encounters I've had with fans of the other team where we rib each other are what contribute to the atmosphere.
Hylda is also my favorite card from Eldraine; I like the +1/+1 synergies on her too, but I'm going with spirits and spirit tokens instead of human tokens so I can have a 2nd Opposition effect in the deck with Shacklegeist. Plus, a lot of spirits naturally want to be tapping things.
As a genuine answer to your question: I don't know if it's rude, but I once went to an old Friend's High School to visit him because his team and mine were playing, and he was in the Band, so he invited me. My seat was on the Home team's side (His side) but I proudly wore my own school's mascot! No one said anything, I don't even know if anyone noticed, but I thought it was funny.
I know if you go into Philly and do something like that just be prepared for the possible outcomes.... I don't condone violence but Philly fans are pretty wild, LOL!
Literally EVERY faerie support card but if I had to pick one, its the uncommon flash legend. Faeries slowly becoming the tempo lord of draw land go once more and I'm here for it.
There are so many combo/synergies with Hylda that let you tap down as many things as you have mana and they have creatures while also doing one of the other effects the same amount. Elvish Mariner, Opposition and Junk Winder come to mind.
Man, I had such a blast with this set during prerelease. My favourite card has to be a tie between Polluted Bonds and Blind Obedience. Never played a Black deck before but I really love its life drain effect every time my opponents play a land and for Blind Obedience, I just love the extort mechanic and the fact that my opponent's monsters come in tapped lol. As for creature cards, this might be a bit biased but Lord Skitter has my vote 😅
I haven't looked at the set in a ton detail, but I would say the card I like best is Eriette of the Poison Apple. She's the next commander deck I'm planning to build.
nah, it's not rude amigo. It's part of the fun when I go see my local team, and I often find the opposing team's supporters funny when they heckle. On the flip side, when I'm at an away game, I am a huge coward and would never heckle the home team in fear of getting assaulted
I feel it's the nature of sports that (hopefully) both teams are cheered. It's like if you're invited to a BBQ and you **gasp** eat their food, imagine just taking something that belongs to another... after being invited to. lol
If you don't like a team, you boo them. That's common practice. If you bought your seats not because you wanted to support the visiting team, but because you wanted to be a hater for the home team, then yeah, that's rude. But personally, I think politeness and rudeness don't really matter. Respect and Disrespect are far more important and often forgotten. Then again, booing the home team just because you don't like them is also disrespectful. Either way, if you enjoy doing it, I don't see a problem with it. Just be aware of the risks. The players on that team may start to recognize you cuz they see your face a lot and come to dislike you. The owner of the stadium might ban you from the premises. There's probably more stuff, but those are just examples. Good luck, Remy!
I misread the Wilds of Eldraine Full Gallery on Scryfall as the "Full Pantry" today, so I like that the best. I like Hylda's Crown a lot, the card, I mean.
What a good conversation point Remy! I hate when people boo or are rude to teams in general. Its super unsportsman like to act like that. I know everyone is excited and you want you team to win but being rude or an ass is never acceptable. America is pretty bad but but Soccor/Football has it the worst. I've seen fan boo their own teams before! All it does is get the players on edge and make them play worse. That's not why we're here is it? We all want to see a good game and have a good time. So next time you think about being an ass at a stadium, just don't.
"Sell the team" was in a previous set except they misspelt it "white sun's twilight". The ring ins are only interested in personal glory and don't get back to defend though.
I kinda like her, even if the archetype is a bit overcosted in the set. Like I can pay more mana than they did to play a creature to tap it temporarily, or I can pay more mana than it would cost to kill the creature, or to bounce it, to Oblivion Ring it, or to say F it all and Wraith of God it, to simply tap it for a turn or two... Still her that Ice Elemental thing that gets +1/+1 for everything you force tap, could have some one shot potential if you can tap their whole board at once.
I think it's fine as long as you're not picking fights or anything. But I'm a sabres fan and when Toronto comes to town and fills up the arena it does suck
I'm not sure if it's rude. Some arenas benefit from the other people coming in. The Buffalo Sabres crowd is often just people from Ontario who want to see anything but can't afford Leafs tickets. they aren't there to cheer against Buffalo, but they are rarely cheering FOR them.
As you should know from your selection of card from this set Remy, there is less joy in victory without....... (Super dork smug pause break continues) Opposition!!!
The card I like best is "Yenna, Redtooth Regent", good artwork, good fair card - On the conundrum: I think both fans are just guests and ideally you cheer for the better playing team, not your favourite team.
Hylda: Turn up the bass on this one Akon, Look back and watch me Tap that whole board Tap that, pay 1 and give me more So many choices to explore Tap that card till you get sore Tap that Oh oh oh ;P
Can you not cheer at their home for them, but also for that team that gives a challenge and makes the home team's game engaging? That is my ideal image
Is it in bad form to go and root for the opposing team? Short answer is no. Longer answer is don't be "that guy" a guy who everyone around wants to kill but because the law frowns on that they don't. I have been a Dolphins fan for around 50 years and live in Indianapolis. I got some tickets to a Colts game and went with some friends back when Marino was playing. The Dolphins scored the first touchdown and I was happy and cheered, in my Dolphin shirt. Dudes kind of looked at me funny and then the Colts scored around the next 50 points. People were laughing and I took it in stride and just laughed back and we all had a good time with me kind of being the focus of the laughter and how bad the Dolphins played that day. You see, I was a Dolphin fan and still am, but a funny fact. They don't pay me and not one Dolphin player, coach, family member knows or cares about me. So if you go, expect to be harassed a bit and realize it is just a game and that team won't miss a beat if you died that day. That and just be cool to other people.
I'm looking forward to the game where I get to play badass ad nauseam junkie Rowan against her dad and get a lecture on how my addiction is tearing the family apart.
Busting into John Fisher's living room and yelling "Sell the team" in front of his wife isn't rude, it's downright patriotic.
he shouldn't have been able to buy the team initially its just he was roommates with the baseball commissioner in college and so his lower bid was accepted.
I am surprised that this isn't the Judge's favourite card from the set. You'd think that an ice queen would remind him of his beloved.
I love the splicer cycle from Scars block, but haven't ever found a good home for them. Brenard, Ginger Sculptor is perfect for them, so that's the card I like best.
Yes! I kept looking at commanders for them. Most recently I was considering Roon. But 100% building this guy now and I'm hype.
It's so funny imagining these phyrexian splicers, with all the gruesome talent to create golems out of flesh and machine, not feeling like they have a purpose because they have no leader. And then comes this wholesome baker from Eldraine ready to finally give them purpose in life.

It warms my heart to learn Remy is a hockey fan.

Eriette has been so much fun to brew around and play

I'm very excited to build around Eriette of the Charmed Apple in Commander
Of course I subscribed, this is one of the best mtg channel ever
Holy Heck! I already have an Azorium deck built around force tapping opponent's creatures. This card is perfect!
I haven't looked at the set in a ton detail, but I would say the card I like best is Eriette of the Poison Apple. She's the next commander deck I'm planning to build.
Shoutout to Remy being a hockey fan!
Remy asking the right questions
Oh sick, a fellow Caps fan in the wild.
nah, it's not rude amigo. It's part of the fun when I go see my local team, and I often find the opposing team's supporters funny when they heckle. On the flip side, when I'm at an away game, I am a huge coward and would never heckle the home team in fear of getting assaulted
This card is going in my Rhoda commander deck ASAP
Yes I have subscribed! She is my favorite card as well and I've already made a commander deck around her as well!
I've been having fun with the virtues on arena!
I feel it's the nature of sports that (hopefully) both teams are cheered. It's like if you're invited to a BBQ and you **gasp** eat their food, imagine just taking something that belongs to another... after being invited to. lol
I like that she is a "ice spell" tribal card.
Cheering isn't rude. Booing is.
If you don't like a team, you boo them. That's common practice. I misread the Wilds of Eldraine Full Gallery on Scryfall as the "Full Pantry" today, so I like that the best.
I like Hylda's Crown a lot, the card, I mean.
I like "mosswood dreadknight" best. Both for the "green knight" flavor capture and for an infinite sac man for my aristocrats deck.
Flavor win with Icy Manipulator. (Also probably dozens of other cold-coded tapping cards at this point, but let’s go with the classic.)
I've once attended a baseball game while wearing merch from both teams.
Already built a commander deck around her. It's focused on tapping down my opponent's creature while adding a new 4/4 to my board each time.
another great vid. Hope you doing well remy.
What a good conversation point Remy! I hate when people boo or are rude to teams in general. Its super unsportsman like to act like that. I enjoyed the tutu joke 😊
It is only ok if you are at Yankee Stadium. Or Fenway. Or the Dodgers. Or if you tell Angelos to sell.

95k subs Remy GO! Woohoo!
This man needs more subs - also GO CAPS
Camden Yards catching a stray. Lol.
I think it's fine as long as you're not picking fights or anything. But I'm a sabres fan and when Toronto comes to town and fills up the arena it does suck
thank you for your content Remy ! looks like a great commander
I personally like the uncommon legend that Stuns a creature and draws you cards when tapping creatures
I like Hylda. Reminds me of my first deck... Azorius detain xD
Camden Yards making the show! Go Os!!
I'm not sure if it's rude. Some arenas benefit from the other people coming in. The Buffalo Sabres crowd is often just people from Ontario who want to see anything but can't afford Leafs tickets. they aren't there to cheer against Buffalo, but they are rarely cheering FOR them.
SHE SHOULD BE A SNOW CREATUREEE
I also shout "sell the team!!!" when I'm up against a commander deck I dislike.
“Cranking out 2/2’s…. Like a ballet seamstress.” This is a god tier joke and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
The "tap all creatures an opponent controls" cards will be very strong...
Cranking out two/two's like a ballerina seamstress is a quality joke.
The card I like best is Agatha’s soul cauldron, all of my modular creatures are now walking ballista or arc bound ravager!
As you should know from your selection of card from this set Remy, there is less joy in victory without....... (Super dork smug pause break continues) Opposition!!!
Yes I did subscribe. I'm still unsure on why I did and I'ld like to keep it that way
The card I like best is "Yenna, Redtooth Regent", good artwork, good fair card -
On the conundrum: I think both fans are just guests and ideally you cheer for the better playing team, not your favourite team.
In England you'll get escorted out of the stadium if you're an away fan in the home section
Cheer for your team, don't cheer against theirs and you won't be rude.
Hylda: Turn up the bass on this one Akon,
Look back and watch me
Tap that whole board
Tap that, pay 1 and give me more
So many choices to explore
Tap that card till you get sore
Tap that Oh oh oh ;P
As long as you're rooting for the New Orleans Saints, it isn't rude at all. Who Dat!!!! Remy Dat!!!!
Do they play sports in Eldraine? Would you boo Hylda's team? A bit cold...
Easy, use Hylda´s hat, place it somewhere and start singing "wherever I lay my (Hylda´s) hat, that´s MY home"!
I just have the right enchantment for her. You Draw Cards whenever a creatures becomes tapped If it's not because of attacking.
Forest is the best card in MTG. It's the most searchable ; )
That tutu joke was en pointe
I always like to guess the card... "Toadstool Admirer." Seems like a Remy approved creature card. Oh well.
It's your God given right to shout SELL THE TEAM in front on anyone's wife.
Never hold back when supporting your team!
She's also my favourite card from the set.
Horn of Gondor FTW!!
Can you not cheer at their home for them, but also for that team that gives a challenge and makes the home team's game engaging? That is my ideal image
Also you're kinda providing the home crowd with a sense of rivalry, that's part of the sport experience.
She looks like she'll be on the secret lair fashion vol. Two.
I was expecting a Hot Take, not an AITA! 😂
I have no idea about the answer to the question you posed, but I do know that is extremely rude to not like and subscribe to a Remy video!
Bonus points for being a hockey fan.
Negative points for being a Capitals fan.
TIL Remy is a hockey fan. I always knew he was a man of mostly good taste!
But whose number is that? Sonny Milano?? Would be very Remi-esque
i just wish posty would do a collab in the next parody song
I'm looking forward to the game where I get to play badass ad nauseam junkie Rowan against her dad and get a lecture on how my addiction is tearing the family apart.
I also really like hylda
So you are asking if being rude is rude? I would think the answer would be yes.
The thing he likes least is himself. Relatable.
Yes
Enchanting Tales Rhystic Study...
It sure is a problem when you're a Capital's fan!
Card I like best in Wilds of Eldraine: Return Triumphant
Opinion on opposing fans: they're paying customers.
