By far the best customization channel I've seen! Who provides the actual links to everything. With proper installation details. Thank you sir!
I try 🤷🏻♂️
Seriously though, they do look great. Especially how easy the install was
My local dealership has a few 2023 Sierra trucks on their lot with these fender flares … to be honest they look great in person … along with those trucks having this mod there’s on that caught my eye as it was siting on some rims that resembled the ones on dons truck
Overall not a bad look it suits the truck nicely
That looks 100x better now 👌
That’s a lot of times better. How bad was it before? 😂
@@Donslife it wasn’t bad before 😅 but I think the color matched flares look better then black…
@@Donslife HORRIBLE!!! The stock chintzy black "flares" on the GMC's look like complete crap. I also hate the angled look of the wheel wells on the GMCs and the stock black just outlines the problem on anything other than a black truck.
I love this mod ! I’d have to sell my over priced GM mud flaps though.
Nice work Don!
At first, I didn't think I would like this but it really looks awesome!
Great job, Don!
Thanks man I appreciate it. Some people are devastated with some of the mods but way more happy to see me sharing information
Another good set of flares that doesn't look like it just rust bucket conceal kit. Deffinately want a color match. Less noticeable the better.
Installed today Don! Looks great and easy install for sure. Hardest part was putting the extrusions onto the flares. I do have to trim the front ones and figure out where to screw the bottom since I added wheel spacers and had tremendous rub, so installed the RC mud flap delete which does away with the mud flap screw that holds the front flare to the bottom of the fender.
I am glad you like them. I can’t imagine not having something now
@@Donslife All set here with them. I was on the fence if I liked them, but the wife said she really likes them, so they stay! Trying to decide if I get them color matched, but truck is T-Storm gray and all black accents and decals, so they look pretty good as is. Also, if the question arises, these fit directly over the RC mud flap delete, no need to take anything off. Front one will need to be trimmed and the screw at the lower point relocated to the outside mud flap screw.
I like the looks of these on your truck. I really like the no rivet style and how simple they were to install . Maybe it's just the camera/video, but that ever so slight difference in the color matched white would drive me absolutely bananas.
It’s funny the camera makes the color seem a tiny bit off, but in person not really at all.
Another epic vid mate. Would love to see them wrapped in the black camo.
Looks pretty good Don good stuff!
Nailed it for sure Don, just what I was looking for…thanks again💯💯💯
Glad you like them. I have seen some flares on these trucks, but they all look the same
@@Donslife Right on, The guys at EGR went above and beyond my expectations on the ease of installation and offering multiple options!
Those look awesome! Definitely worth it to lose the stock mudflaps...may put these on my list to add after new wheels/tires!
That looks outstanding, Don!
Thanks, some folks agree and some don’t. I am getting pretty used to creating controversy with my choices 😂
@@Donslife The haters pay more. 🤑. I love this channel and appreciate your hard work. Maybe one day I’ll do some exterior mods to my blacked-out ‘23 AT4 Yukon XL. Because of you, I bought the armrest charger and IA Android device. Maybe the VanTrue camera too (was that you?). Cheers.
Hey Don I usually don’t like fender flares on trucks. Here in WV some of the guys over do it, a little large for my taste but those look factory it’s like your truck rolled off the assembly line with those, great job and thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching and leaving this comment
Those are just right! I found a kit for my 2022 Durango, but they look too wide, almost funky wide - no flow. I'm on the fence, but this was clean and classy! Nice!
It wasn’t an easy search unless I wanted to really bulky
I guess you’re not going to put the mud flaps back on because it would be to tight in front ✌️
I would have that problem with mine I think if I changed to fender flares I will have to look at the video a couple times
I have Trigger Industries mud flaps on and it’s tight now 🤷
Great video Don Looks Great 👍✌️🇨🇦
The flares cover the mounting holes where the flaps go. I was hoping to see how the flaps in front of the rear wheels stay in place and the flair fit over them. My Rough Country flares for my Silverado require removing all of the mud flaps. I ended up putting on some generic flat SUV ones I had purchased for another vehicle I had laying around to try and keep too much winter slop from hitting the bottom of the cab and getting flung into the rear bumper.
Don, What about doing a like 1 inch vinyl wrap on that edge that touches the truck to give it a seal and cover that black rubber. I would like to get a silver set like this for my GMC and would want to cover up that black seal.
I am working out a preventative measure. There are some paints that will stick to weather stripping and remain somewhat flexible, but you’d only want it on the exposed sides
Very tastefully done!
Thank you kindly!
It looks really good what do you have for muffins?
Muffins? I like Blueberry muffins. If you meant mufflers, then the answer here is a Borla S-Type Cat-back system with quad tips
Those look fantastic! Did EGR paint them for you and if they did what was the additional cost?
EGR did paint them, but they can't offer that service for every situation. Luckily for me they had some of my paint code available for this and sent them to me painted. If you look at some of the pricing models you can do the math on the ones that at painted and not painted and calculate the difference. I think it works out to $100 per flare for the ones I have. Still best to confirm with them. Most local body shops here charge a $500 minimum for any project that involves paint matching.
I had a problem with them scratching the paint on the truck. Dirt gets between the rubber and paint like sandpaper. When I removed them I had scratches all around the rubber weatherstripping on my paint. Just a heads up.
Might add some PPF if I don’t wrap the truck
My buddy put a clear wrap under his, seems to be working for him.
@@Donslife I was going to comment on this. I looked at pictures of Rough Country's demo Silverado when looking at various flares and could see where they had rubbed the paint. I bought 1/2" PPF film and used a grease pen to outline where the fender edge would be and applied the film inside of that line to prevent rubbing against the paint. Dirt and dust does get between there. I replaced the stock edging on the Rough Country SF1's because they didn't have any adhesive to stick them to the flare and it kept vibrating off on the top of the rear ones for some reason. I bought some that had adhesive inside the groove and no more issues. I did find some flares that use adhesive against the vehicle side as well. I haven't looked into what kind of molding it is or how much it cost yet.
Did you order the from EGR already painted or did you have the painted somewhere else? I don't see the paint option for those flares on their website. Thx
You can try and contact them and inquire which paint codes they stock. I don’t think they can offer all of the various colors all the time. Mine were painted by them though.
@@Donslife Thanks!! Keep up the great content and awesome mods!!
Nice mod. I was skeptical at first.
Glad you like them 👍🏼
Hey Don, great video! How is the performance of the Fender flares so far? Did you go over the Winter with them? How do they tighten to the buddy of the truck? I would appreciate your feedback. I am really thinking of buying them.
This will be my first winter with them on so we’ll see. They clip onto the existing wheel well trim quite well. No drilling
Thanks for the comments, very well appreciated! I really like the blacktop on the truck! It is very unique! Do you do wrapping for a living!
@luisfabiangattornoborrell9421 thanks, not for a living, just for fun on my own stuff
Looks good Don. When water gets in behind the flares, as it will for sure, does it just drain down to the sides and out, or do you think it could get trapped in there? I guess my question is really whether the design includes consideration for water drainage and drying behind the flares. Cheers from Ontario!
I had a look after reading this comment. I don’t see drainage as an issue, but I am sure dust build up will eventually get wet and accumulate some crud
@@Donslife the clip design makes me think you could take these off a couple times a year if you wanted to wash underneath them and get all the built up crud out. That’s always the thing I don’t like about flares (I have them on my truck)… the fact that I don’t know what’s sitting on my paint underneath them forever and never getting cleaned/decontaminated. Thx
like always great video i am spending to much money because of you hahahah. where can i get it in white to mach my denali summit white ? i see it only in black on the website thank you
Nice 😂 Have a local shop paint match them. They only have some colors available from time to time with black being the most common
Hope the gaskets don’t rub the paint off! One thing I hate about mine
I am looking to install some ppf behind them if I don’t wrap the truck anytime soon
“Smooth enough to wrap”
Hmmm…🤔
How good do those clips hold at highway speeds? It seems to me that eventually a gap will be created where the weather stripping is and the wind will pull it off
I know why you’d think that, but when you see them in person, they are super tight
@@Donslife Just wait for a winter or two of that Canadian winter salt and let us know how the fair.
I will have a wrap or ppf in between
Which mud flaps are those. I just got my 23 at4x and was looking for a pair for it. I have been having troubles finding something that is an exact fit.
I took all of my mud-flaps off. They were the ones that came with my 21 AT4 from GM.
Where did you buy fender flare. Thank you

What size tires are you running?
285/60 R20. 0 offset 20x9 wheel
@@Donslife did you order these already painted from EGR? I didn’t see an option for that.
@@jayk.2276 I did but my timing worked out as well as it was a limited time option at that time. You can’t order white at the time of writing this. Black I think is sometimes available since it is more universal than my white paint code.
Honestly feels like you’re going in circles. You installed spacers with your stock wheels to give it a more aggressive stance, then you swapped the wheels and tires entirely and now you put fender flares on that effectively tuck the tires back inside the body line.
😊
As it should be. Saves the truck fenders, body and those behind you.
Hi Don. I'm considering these EGR flares. Would you happen to have a discount or promo code for this product?
I am not sure. I sent an email to ask them.
Hello! I heard back - There is not anything right now, but they are working on some ideas/programs for the future. I know it doesn't help you now, but that's all I can tell you for now.
@@Donslife Thanks Don for taking the time to respond. I will probably still move forward on it soon.

Those wheels have got to go. Too nice of a truck to have such cheap and weak looking wheels. Love the videos!
Nothing is forever but there does seem to be quite a divide out there on the styling.
First
You probably have the most firsts! Stick around for the montage
Not a fan, think truck looks better stock with maybe just some wheels.....think you can just go too far with mods....just get an AT4X.......actually 2500 HD version since you tow anyways
It isn’t my forever truck so anything can happen
The best change you could make is to remove that General Motors emblem, and put a Blue Oval on it. Lol😅😅
Bullies are so out of style 🤛
@@Donslife dude, you've seen me. I have no style. Lol!!
Can you please change those rims. They're so FUGLY
I like them and for now they’ll stay. I can’t please everyone either. Sorry man
Really like the look of those, wish they could color match the weather seal too. Have you gotten it to rub yet? I catch a random rub while turning at an incline sometimes like pulling in somewhere and the entrance has a slight hill.
ᵉᵈᶦᵗ: ᶜʰᵉᶜᵏ ᵒᵘᵗ ᴮᵃʲᵃ ᵈᵉˢᶦᵍⁿˢ ᶠᵒᵍ ˡᶦᵍʰᵗ ʳᵉᵖˡᵃᶜᵉᵐᵉⁿᵗ ᵖᵒᵈˢ
No wheel rub yet. More aggressive testing will continue.
I did go with the 275/65R20 with ReadyLift level and the same Bilstein 5100 shocks front and back so I was flying a little too close to the sun and did have to push the liners back. I did reach out to Baja and recon, told them I buy most of the stuff you shill, Baja just blew me off and recon did reply and seemed surprised there were no videos featuring their GMC taillights as they sell "tons of them" but stopped short of any promises! 🤞🤞🤞
@@_____mh fingers crossed indeed!
