I watched you guys all the time when i was at school to become a BMW tech 10 years ago, now im a BMW M specialist. And still get super excited to watch videos like this one. Thank you guys
At this point MCM could make a fifteen minute video of nothing but Marty and Moog making turbo noises and I'd still hit like and watch it to completion!
I agree with some of the "Old School MCM" comments. It's not exactly the same - it's better. It's all the polish and production value they have gathered all the time in a less complicated episode anyone could truly do. I love the direction MCM has taken over time, but it's nice to see they still have a link to their roots. You know, even as we all grow up and move upmarket (I've moved from ratty Civics, Miatas and del Sols with a lot of DIY engine builds to a new WRX with computer tuning), something inside still has a love for the fun cheap "nuggets" we grew up with.
Long time watcher - first time commenter. Y’all are the best - I can’t say enough positive things about your work with them two channels. What makes me respect you totally is that you’ve stuck to your roots. Best goddamn car show on the planet - I mean it! Cheers from DE, USA! (Also - Moog: I’m a fellow Maiden fan and though I’m 29/more into hip hop these days, I still rock my metal shirts too... how’d you make the transition to the style of music you make in the videos?) Again - thank you both for your services. You’re gentleman and scholars.
Had my reservations at the beginning of the video, but the result looks quite amazing,i do like the look,i have to admit!Good job, keep going and do your thing!
If you're not sure whats available, for JDMs sake check if flared fenders are available first and if they fit your requirements, or if not can be massaged/rolled to fit. Depending on who makes them fitment can be a breeze or need a bit of massaging, but if they're available, they will likely be much less of a hassle than sticon, popon or weldon flares. They might cost a little bit more, but no extra money in the world will rid you of a headache once its settled; so preferably avoid it at first.
Looks great guys! I loved the original look, and never liked flares on autos, but a wide-body Mira looks nice. Well done, can't wait to see it painted!
Marty, back in the day I chopped 1 standard front and rear spring in half and proudlly used them in each side of my turboed TD Gemini. Screw the keyboard warriors, proudly embrace the chop ✌ like it's the 90's again.
you guys should chop it like you did with the subaru hatch and make the mira into an off road vehicle. it's hard to imagine but not entirely possible for the MCM crew
Yaris 1ND-TV 1.4l diesel with compound turbos and custom tunable ECU. Do it, it should be your next project! Come on guys, all these years and no diesels, it really is time for it! :)
one project i would love to see you guys do is a modified 4x4. i see a few turn up and your meet ups and would like to see how you guys would mightily modify one
Now..... this is classic MCM. Old car, new tricks that everyone can do. Gotta stop that stupid Expensive Car Mods thing that runs on todays playlist. Love to watch mcmtv2 with talks and Yoda-Rodrigo show.
Giant fan!!! I have a 07 nissan sentra spec v and need ideas mcm would do if they had one. Thanks for the great show the diy and maaadddd projects are amazing to watch. Love from the usa
Try flashing GPU bios, some times it`s corrupt and can make driver and performance issues. JayzTwoCents made video on that, when he fixed some Nvidia GPU. I did it on my R9 270X, it fixed similar driver issues.
Would be really great if you properly explain wheel width and offset. It’s not a roll of the dice when buying wheels, 15 seconds with a measure will tell you if it fits under the stock guards or not. Eg 15x7 +20 will poke more than 15x8 +33
shocks etc, should be able to fly on a cargo only plane. But it has been a while since I had to argue with the shipping over what to call stuff, (Transport doesn't care if 2-Propanol is scientifically correct for rubbing Alcohol, they will still fine you for not calling it Isopropanol) so IATA might have some changes I don't know about, I just deal with Domestic North America stuff.

bmw suck
Varg Sutton 😂
Varg Sutton no they dont, you just don't understand them
That's why he's a tech, so he can get PAID to work on them. You're a bit numb in the head.
I’m an Audi rs specialist, so I stopped watching these videos, I can only post comments.....
Old mcm music, jacking cars up and here are the toold you're gonna need, damn old school mcm is back 😍
At this point MCM could make a fifteen minute video of nothing but Marty and Moog making turbo noises and I'd still hit like and watch it to completion!
May your voice be heard
Sounds like my sex life 😂😂
I want that video
As long as those Turbo noises are among a symphony of intercooler harp and intake manifold panflute with a side order of bucket drums as well
MAAAAADDDDD!!!!!! SHUUUUU TOOOTOOOTOOOO!!!!

Did anyone else get nostalgic good feels when moog said “marty’s gonna show you the tools you’re gonna need”?
"Jack up your car" part...
Felt like the old driveway builds...loved it.
GrF Films they forgot to say “it went from this, to this”
They didn't say it but they showed the car before / after. I think they forgot to edit that sound clip into the video.
Question is: does Rake loves this?
MR2! I'm working on building one (my first) right now, 1986 with a JDM 20V built motor. Love your guys channel, keep it up!

Nice to see some actual informational unsponsored content. More of this please, it’s part of the reason your channel became a success
That looks so good with the flares! I want it!
Finally one video how install Fender Flares without cutters. good job guys.
good to watch a old school style mighty car mods videos. Takes us back to the early days. CHOPPPPPEEDD
Pro tip: Use a step drill bit to drill plastic... doesn't bite like a regular drill bit and it doesn't leave any burrs etc
Josh Anderson good tip, thanks!
gotta love MOOG'S cliff hanging moments at the end of these episodes..gets me hype for the next vid
mad your bringing back the james bond effect
Kicking goals boys. Loved the originality of this one.... well done
What does Cheryl think of the wheels?
messy
Wider the better or it won’t touch the sides.
Found the moisture..
Its behind the lips..
She’s a fan of the love hand... I mean flares
nacho bowl
Had my reservations at the beginning of the video, but the result looks quite amazing,i do like the look,i have to admit!Good job, keep going and do your thing!
Oooo I haven't heard these melodies in years
but where is the music used for example in the indroduction of the TRDLZR
nostalgy kickin in 11/10 when marty shows the tool you gonna need :) .. love it
M R 2!
You two are awesome. Hope to meet you when you hit the USA again

This is the first time i see the plates that is genius really nice👌
I hate over fenders, but you guys have done well to make them work!
I only just got that the number plate means 'Kei to city' LOL
Thanks guys. That introduction to rivnuts made putting my valve preamp back together significantly easier. Fuckin' wicked work
Dam, thing is looking sweet!!! Think i need to get a set for the lancer :')
What lancer mate, am also eagerly waiting to get one?
Loving the old school style MCM video!
Looks awesome, looking forward to the painting of the Nougat
I've learned alot watching you boys build these machines and I can't wait too install some flares on my Honda 💪
Looks great guys! I loved the original look, and never liked flares on autos, but a wide-body Mira looks nice. Well done, can't wait to see it painted!
MR2!!!
Man, that car really screams POWER.
Marty, back in the day I chopped 1 standard front and rear spring in half and proudlly used them in each side of my turboed TD Gemini. Screw the keyboard warriors, proudly embrace the chop ✌ like it's the 90's again.
Love the use of the old school Moog songs, this hit me in the feels haha!
LOVE the older music!
I love that nugget!
Somebody needs to make a 'Waaaarrrhh Zoot too too too" song. Lol.
Nice to hear MOOG saw the "Float Your Goat" pic I posted on the "Official MCM Site" :-)
This is so pure.
you guys should chop it like you did with the subaru hatch and make the mira into an off road vehicle. it's hard to imagine but not entirely possible for the MCM crew
Honda bros pay attention
Scottys busted out the note pad n all
i payed lots of attention
SIR YES SIR!
would love to see more videos like this. don’t care what cars you’re doing up but just love watching you two get shit done 😂👌
Would actually love to see a yaris build. Maybe an early 2004 T sport, swapped with the JDM 1.5 Turbo engine, would be mad
Now..... this is classic MCM. Old car, new tricks that everyone can do. Gotta stop that stupid Expensive Car Mods thing that runs on todays playlist. Love to watch mcmtv2 with talks and Yoda-Rodrigo show.
That threaded insert tool is magic compared to the Astro tool I have,
I wanna see something done with a late 90s/00s magna/verada, they're everywhere and they have potential
Love that number plate.
How did you guys manage to make me feel actual remorse when you took off the old wheels
Riley Davis feels
UA-cam is doo doo. For some reason im unsubbed but i subbed to you about 4 years ago.Now i subbed again.
Giant fan!!! I have a 07 nissan sentra spec v and need ideas mcm would do if they had one. Thanks for the great show the diy and maaadddd projects are amazing to watch. Love from the usa
Bought some to hide the 13 x 7's on my Carry Van. Love them, very Bond like:)
Please don't forget to make a video for the gaskets and other mods to the flares for us. Please.
That looks like one fun looking car.
Anyone else remember them putting "James Bond Effect" fender flairs on the project 180sx?
Next project: All wheel drive Yaris, Mini Moke style with a second engine driving the rear wheels.
Every time Marty says "gasket" I think of the Focus RS episode where he kept saying head gasket with his "internet" voice.
Liked for MR2 mention
The retro music is gold! Lol
Though it disgusts me to say, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the Yaris.
Does Cheryl pump the riv-nut tool or insert the nut-sert tool?
@Mighty Car Mods MR2 EV got plenty of room front and rear for motors and cells :)
Those rims belong on my car! 1967 KE10 Corolla 🙂
I can't wait for the episode where the mira gets crush again
Barra swapped Yaris incoming!
Could you guys please do an MR2 vid? I’m so down for that mid engined goodness.
Socket headed cap screws lads, hex headed bolt needs a socket, not an Allen key.
Ayyyye mcm rocks! Whats up marty and moog!?
What
a new episode is up
Mighty Car Mods lol
Alex Youngberg
I'm also up! (Hi, Cheryl.)
There’s an Easter egg for the most loyal of MCM fans. Actually, three.
*MAXIMUM JAMES BOND EFFECT*
Should have made custom box flares. Would have looked proper mad and unique
Try flashing GPU bios, some times it`s corrupt and can make driver and performance issues. JayzTwoCents made video on that, when he fixed some Nvidia GPU. I did it on my R9 270X, it fixed similar driver issues.
Stop with the Yaris Jokes I have one 😒😂
Tristan Michaud putting wheels on your washing machine doesn't make it a car
Hastings direct I know this is why I don’t spend money on mag
looks cool. just need to get rid of that white paint now. nice spring chop lol
Would be really great if you properly explain wheel width and offset. It’s not a roll of the dice when buying wheels, 15 seconds with a measure will tell you if it fits under the stock guards or not. Eg 15x7 +20 will poke more than 15x8 +33
You should do a work shop DIY spray episode.
Since it has to be done, giant parrot on the hood, rope trim, etc. and make it the Yarr-is. (Pirate themed lol)
I'd love to see the paint fixed up on that.
17:30 Now we have Yaris Hilton and MrPoo
MR2!! Please do up a second gen mr2 with the 3SGE!
Car looks heaps better! Now ditch the Yaris and MR2 idea and peripheral port a rx8
Nice iconic Marty
Only epoxy primer will prevent rust. Conventional primer is DESIGNED to absorb moisture, thats why paint sticks like it does to it.
Increase the boost pressure 😃
That's all well and good, but what if I want to install some Gibson flares? Rickenbacker, Gretch, Ibanez? You guys are guitar-ist.
It would be great with either Budget street cred yaris or TRD YARIS
shocks etc, should be able to fly on a cargo only plane.
Very awesome guys!!!
You should show how to make fiber glass fender flares
@2:05 Thank you for just saying it. lol
I would prefer to see y'all do an MR2
Best. ending. yet.
Damn JDM GOODNESS!
711 was a part time job
MCM special: pimp my yaris
Maybe in Japan again, that would be awesome
You should build a Yaris with a motorcycle engine! :D
This music brings back memory’s from Marty’s mums driveway
You can simply adjust your ride height in that car by sitting in it
