- So what is a black blade? Why is it important? I believe the black blade will be the final step in zoro becoming THE STRONGEST swordsman and the final step to defeating Mihawk. Dracule Mihawk is said to be clairvoyant, he is said to be the STRONGEST swordsman and he said he waits for zoro at the top of the world. Zoro will one day defeat him to sit on the top of the world as the worlds STRONGEST Swordsman

Since the introduction of Enma, I felt like the sword gave off the same vibe that Ash’s Charizard did in the Pokémon anime. Powerful as fuck but doesn’t respect it’s master/wielder because they themselves aren’t strong enough. Plus I loved that you touched back onto Zoro’s master explaining how to cut everything and nothing. Since zoro does practice a form of Buddhism, I wonder if that balance between sword and arm must be met before the same sword can become THE black blade. Which poses the question, will Enma become the black blade, or will the Sandai Kitetsu (his whole motivation) become the black blade?
this is a good observation 🤔
an object appear black bcs it absors all colors (visible light spectrum) equally. the more it absorbs it'll appear more black. if this is used as reference, maybe black blade is forged by infusing all haki colors equally into a blade. So far we haven't seen any characters infusing their kenbun into weapon. I guess we'll this feat in the future

I think zoros first black blade will be against the Blackbeard pirates then next one against Marines and maybe the other one against buggy another idea is that Mihalk is currently working under buggy and that’s how buggy is a honk and maybe shanks will Allie with him and the straw hats could have a all out battle

Oda said something in the Road to laugh tale that I believe is a key to forging a black blade.
The zoan devil fruits have a mind of their own, kinda like cursed/named blades they also have a mind of their own. Devil fruits are awakened when it's users mind and body is finally able to harness the true potential of their devil fruit. It could be the same or almost the same for forging a black blade, I believe that the swordsman should also create some type of mind and body connection to their sword in order to turn it black, I believe the greater the blade the harder it is to blacken it. It could also be linked with conquerors haki too.
I agree with you if you don't possess the will of a king(conquerors haki) you're not worthy of being the strongest swordsman. I believe a swordsman instilling his will into his blade might also be a key factor to turning a blade permanently black.

I didn't watch the video, just came to say my theory.
I'm 99% positive at this point the only way a blade is made black is by imbuing it with 100% of your CoC-Haki. Or possibly, by "life-stealing" another's CoC-Haki. I think we already saw this happen when Mihawk beat Zoro. Except Zoro had no CoC-Haki at that point, and Yoru was already black.
I firmly believe this to be the only way/s for the black blade to be "made". It requires you to place your sword above yourself. Because without your sword, you are not a swordsman.
the "life-steal" theory would play into the fact there are only two known black blades, meaning there could have been, at one point. Four swordsmen capable of becoming the strongest in the world. One defeated by Ryuma, the other By Mihawk.
So I think when Zoro defeats Mihawk, it will either be the death of Mihawk, or. Zoro will "life-steal" the black from Yoru, and imbue it into Enma. The "life-steal" method being a direct correlation to one's own will, being greater than another's. The same thing required to tame Enma, and theoretically, create a black blade.
He will probably turn his blade black once he is pushed into the corner having to cut random innocent people or even his own crewmates to be able to cut Shiryuu who literally became "nothing" with his awakened invisibility devil fruit.

Saw a theory floating around that swordsmen can only create a black blade by using ALL of their COC Haki. We see Mihawk using Haki a bit, sure, but we never have any conclusive proof of him using COC Haki individually. Chance that this will be disproven when we see more of him, but I digress. The theory goes on to state that by devoting everything to this blade, their will and power as a king, the blade recognizes its master in full and becomes blackened, and the wielder can no longer use COC on their own.
To explain in game (xp) terms:
For a sword to become a black blade(BB), it's wielder must gain and max it's xp points (The level of xp point required to become a BB depends on the grade of the sword)
To gain xp points, the wielder must fight in numerous and challenging battles against tough opponents (the tougher the opponent, the more xp is collected
Once a blade becomes a BB, it becomes exclusive to it's wielder, as the wielder has maxed all parameters on the blade '
Any other wielder than attempts to use the BB, will only be able to use it at a limited proficiency
If another wielder picks up the sword with xp points invested but not fully max, the new wielder will have to max out the sword from the start.

But just think about it zoro's having wado ichimonji from the Start his master gave him that sacred sword and wado was never lost by zoro or never stolen by someone...... So i guess wado ichimonji will also get turned into a black blade thankyou 🥂
I like this idea but there must be something else
Zoro had shusui but it did not have basoc properties of haki
It did nothing to Lizaru at saboady a logia
When shusui should have for sure been able to cut lizaru
So i think there is something else at play
All haki is invisible
Armament is an aspect of your will that forms an Invisbile Barrier arround what you touch or are connected too
However black blades are physically visible to all even kids
Conquers is Will itself leaking into The physical world or affecting the physical things
So a black blade maybe is will altering the blade pyhycially

As haki is invisible
Basic conquers The power to dominate the mind is a Mental Things you overwhelm the mind of a Weaker enemy
Adv. conquers seems to Overhelm the physical body

His armament is also probably the best with true control over hardness
And his conquers has to be at least shanks lvl

I think roger wb and all the others could never achieve a black blade is for 2 reasons their mastery of armament and Skill was not up there

They refused to fully trust their blade

I do not think Mihawk cannot fight without yoru
I think He Can fight at the same lvl with any blade
But he cannot Showcase Hus Full Capabilities Without yoru
Meaning The 3 or 5 Ultimate Attacks By mihawk using yoru cannot be performed by a Lowered Graded blade
But all the other attacks Could be replicated by any blade
Zoro Used No Sword Style dragon twister With just his body as a base
He did what he could do woth 3 swords normally

I say this to Say mihawk literally gave away half maybe More of his Will aka Conquers to Yoru
And For mihawk to use His full capability he trust yoru To Be his Companion for that
And thats why He knows Yoru is the strongest blade ever rank 1 of the 12 supreme blades

And Has those swords In his collection
And Maybe this is why Shanks And Oden and Roger And Wb could never Get a black blade
They did not Trust their sword only their abilities

And the swordsman of one piece cannot Reach even Midde rank I think Mihawk Is close to yan Sen lvl

I think all of His swords will be black swords
I think all 12 grade Supreme swords were crafted by legendary crafters like Kotetsu there for Mihawk sumhow earned right for his Yoru but never made it black blade because was 1 alredy Zoro will be 1st to make it an make 13th sword ..It most likely be Wado Ichimoji and not Enma first white blade instead black blade creating ultimate legend that is Zoro....

U're very good, and very observer and not delutional, subribed, but do you agree that Roger & Garp is prolly the strongest and there's still more to Haki than Conq coating Haki, and that only a very few of the few of the strongest achive it, and the one who wields it is a true master of Haki
I think advanced conquerors haki is probably the strongest haki there is and there is probably more to haki we dont know yet.
Also whitebeard is portrayed as equal or in some instances more powerful than roger. He’s low planetary level

Wait how do you consider shanks a pure swordsman and not Rayleigh?
Shanks has only ever used a sword in the series, rayleigh has used his entire body, sometimes even while he's using the sword. Where as mihawk, zoro, and shanks have only ever used a sword

that’s literally fan theories, a loud minority of fans believe he does just cuz of shading, but it’s probably a regular sword, cuz in all the colorings its a normal sword
