Melissa, you're a great teacher. You explain your filing so well. It feels like most people can only show their process, but aren't very good at articulating WHY they're doing what they're doing, but it's easy to follow what you're saying. It's been very helpful for me! We appreciate you and your craft♥️♥️😁xoxo

@@mjaydelacruz8496 *fangirling* Thank you so much for the encouragement! After re-reading it, I realized it might have sounded like I was doubting my own work but I was actually trying to do the math on how many clients you can help in a day and the amount of $$ you could make (even at 2hrs an appt!) and since I'm *not* a nail tech (for now) I was thinking I might be in the wrong career 😅 and need to switch to being a nail tech!
Either way, I needed the encouragement because I just do my own nails at home but am still in the 4 hr range and sometimes get frustrated with myself even though I'm clearly getting better thanks to y'all's videos. You're all just amazing, thank you! 😊

If you love doing nails, you should absolutely become a nail artist! Practice makes perfect. It takes A LOT of practice, because the truth is that 90% is the ability to sculpt a nail, and file it correctly. The nail art is really the easiest to learn and the supplies are inexpensive. Where to spend the money is on bonder, nail forms, e-file, and good gels or acrylic. Polygel is way easier to use than gel and acrylic, but you get what you pay for and have to buy high quality polygel. Good quality slip solution. Lamps are pretty inexpensive, but duel led and uv are good. Nail art supplies you should get from aliexpress because the quality is usually the same, just name brands hike prices. I got into nail art just a few years ago, it can take me 10 hours to sculpt and file a full set perfectly on myself, but there isn't any nail art technique I can't do pretty easily, for barely any money. If I was constantly practicing sculpting and filing I could do it faster, but I say that because the nail art is really the easiest to learn.

@@ella_cinder4361 I am an actual nail tech and those prices are right on target with what I charge obviously when you use good products and with your time being so valuable it’s worth it. If you go to just a random corner salon they’re all cheap because they do a crap job that is with garbage product on you most likely chipping and all that’s going to happen they don’t do a lot of encapsulation at salons anymore so I understand if you’re like a salon person how those prices seem out rages but for me that’s right on target

Yes absolutely makes perfect 👌🏻 you want bomb nails or cheap half the quality also you need to remember she is using the best products on the market they aren’t cheap. I spent $150 on my nails before and they were the most dynamic coolest nails I’ve ever had loved them. Know your budget what you want to spend and are you willing to go outside the norm because it will cost for a neat design like these !!
