“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family! - Навчання та стиль
What would y’all charge for this set?
A basic set with one gel polish would probably be a 30 minute service, so probably starting at $60 and up.
I wanted to ask the same thing.. 🤭
Thanks for the answer YN 💘💖
Wow where I am I couldn’t get more than $40.00 to many Asian shops that charge $20.00
How is light reaching the nail with the thumb covering it?
@@wiwtb925 they just flash cure it to keep it somewhat in place. After the hand is done, then they go in for a full 60 seconds.
I'm not a nail tech, I just like playing with this stuff. A friend had a broken natural nail that was going to be an issue because the break was so far down the side. She asked if there was anything I could do and I did pretty much this process with gel and a full tip. Much to our surprise, it actually lasted so long that it grew out eventually!
love this method! i definitely don’t want to ever go back to acrylic lol. many nail techs have a full clientele with this gel x method! it’s such a time saver and when it holds up just like acrylic, my mind says why would i do acrylic ever again 😅❤
@@mbkabdo how long do these last when u do them? 1 week or more like 4?
@@raygunlynn5075 mine would stay for a month but I encouraged my clients to come in between 2-3 weeks
Omg I feel so excited for YN real time videos!!!!!!! Please do more 😭 I miss these
These nails are BEYOND gorgeous Tracey! I think I can do these. I’m a beginner and love to learn from young nails. Thank you & Katie for this great content 😊
❤️
I do this technique all the time and have got long wear from them. Longest was 4weeks before I removed and redid them, no lifting either.
Yay! 🥳Another Real Time vid!! Love this ones!
So glad you showed this. I always use gel for tips but this is great.
So beautiful! I can’t wait to try this next time I do my nails. 💅🏼 The fiber gel with keratin is one of my top favorite products! 😍
Thank you so much Young Nails I've really learnt alot from you guys God bless your work 🙏 ❤
This is by far my absolute favorite video so far...its so real and relatable!
❤️
I've stated using the fiber gel like this and for fills and as it grows out I eventually use it as a natural nail overlay and it works better than anything else I've ever tried. I have very flexible natural nails and am super hard on my hands doing building projects, gardening, woodwork, dog grooming, etc. The fiber gel is a complete game changer for me, a person who has never been able to grow her nails past my nail bed at all and it's brought me so much joy, confidence and excitement.
Yep it took me a long time because I was a lil skeptical. I have to say these are awesome and you don’t have to use that much. I did it the same way they did and they are perfect!!! Thank you #Young Nails you guys are definitely the best!!!
I use this method with flexible and hard gel and I have been filling them in for months. Tip, add some gel to the extended underside of the nail it reinforces the nail and prevents warped nail extension over time.
❤️
I asked for this in a twitch live! I’ve overfiled my nails so a base of fiber gel for all enhancements from now on. Using full cover tips is trending so I adapted and combined the 2. Great video, ty for trying out the method!!
Happy Monday!! Woohoo 🙌🏻 real time vid!!! Love this so much!! TYFS!
❤️
Going to try RIGHT now … wish me luck 🍀. Thanks for doing the glitter I know what I’m doing now much faster than ombré (which I was planning on) and am excited !
Thank you so much for this video!! I used some rather flimsy full cover nails that I would otherwise have had no use for. This is the easiest method for a beautiful , quick and practically flawless look! I love the way you a taken a product meant for natural nails and created more uses beyond sole use for natural nails increasing the flexibility of use for the gel! 👏
How long does it last?
@@elsah3339 it's been a week so far no chipping or breakage, still beautiful.
They are stunning! Love the purple sparkle💜💜
❤️
Love this! I've been planning on applying with gel, but didn't think of the fiber gel!! This is great. Also, please more vids doing Katie's nails! ❤️
❤️
I'm looking back at how yall have enhanced your technique with this service and created an AWESOME system with the Full Coverage Fibergel Kit for us! 💗💗
For those with gel allergies (like me), try one layer of dip powder on the natural nail, then adhere the full coverage nail enhancement with the dip powder bonder. Buff adhered nail to roughen surface and add one layer of dip powder. Buff to smooth surface and polish. This works great for me and lasts a long time.
Wish I could memorize this comment lol thanks! Gotta try it
Good idea.
I'm definitely going to have to try this, love the shape, color - everything!!
❤️
LOVE the cuticle oils!
I knit so it dries out my cuticles something FIERCE!
I get the large bottle and put it into tiny bottles and have one in my purse, one in my knitting bag, one on my desk at work, one on my desk at home, one next to my bed... I have cuticle oil everywhere. I even gave a little bottle to my boss yesterday and told her to start ordering it.
NOW, I have to order some fiber gel and funkadelic... 😜
I've never used the tips before but I may start practicing they look lovely! Keep posting keep creating! Love watching the videos!
❤️
Thank you Katie for being awesome!
❤️
I use Apres Gel X on myself - and hey this gave me some awesome tips. I've been working on perfecting technique for a couple years now. Really appreciate this video for this reason! Thank you so much
❤️
😃 i did this with fiber gel a few weeks ago on myself. Being a nail tech i needed a quick set. Held great. But i only did the fiber gel in the Prepped well of the tip and yes as you said need to be careful not to put to much because i got some oozing. Love her idea of the coat on the natural nail first. These have been perfect for graduations and weddings!
What do you call a service like this!?
What do you charge for this service?
Wow so fast and easy. I think I could do it lol. Thank you for sharing this great technique.
❤️
Love the color of that glitter.
Beautiful nails as always Tracey!!! Can’t wait to buy some fiber gel in the next sale!!
❤️
So glad I came back to this video 7 months later, I put these on myself (super happy) byt always wondered how to maintain them and do fills if it were ever possible
Loved the nail 💜❤ Thank you sharing your skills and love 😉🌼❤💜 it shows ..
❤️
I’m beyond shocked I didn’t know this would work !! Now I want to try this method 😮❤ this is why I love you guys YoungNails I have learn and I keep learning a lot from you guys videos thank you guys so much 💖💖
I got full tips on my mystery box last sale and didn’t know what to do with them. I do now. Love the idea! 💜💅🏻 thank you 😊
❤️
I did too I was sooo Excited like yess show off young nails
My sis Jenn Roberts told me to do it this way back in December when I visited her. She did my nails (yay sister nail tech) and they were awesome with this technique.
YAAAAAS, another real time 😭👏🏼 thank yoooou 🙏🏼
❤️
This is a super quick way to make beautiful looking nails.
I just did this on my nails and I'm about to do it again! Can't wait
❤️
I’m waiting for my fiber gel….. not very patiently. Love this set - .I can see myself using this technique to save time on my own nails as well, as well as for events like proms, weddings, graduations etc.. I get bored with the same set after about a week or so. I’m not sure if I got the full cover tips or not but if I didn’t I will😊
Thanks for this I'm gonna try it on my sister & daughter to see if it will work
I do this with my nails as well, the Fiber Gel gives great flexibility and strength to the nail without compromise. Especially for people like me who can be clumsy and constantly hit my nails in things. I even use it to adhere my press on toe nails.
❤️
Thanks for sharing and would appreciate the maintenance/fill follow up videos!
❤️
My teacher was just telling me last week about this method. Good to see a video on it.
❤️
That’s the perfect amount of time because I’m a hairstylist and my nails get pretty gnarly with stains from color and toners on the undersides which, cutting them back and starting a new set just makes sense, every other fill to keep the free edge clean.
Bravo 👏
This could be the answer to my problems! My actual nails are so thin from me learning and removing gel, acrylic, and dip. I need to give them a break. Not to mention I am changing from acrylic to gel. I love that she fills these. It took me 2 days to do a set, I want something quick to do at home, put slick pour on, decorate, change up, and look amazing.
I used cheap gel tips and I love this technique, I'm a new nail tech and im very lazy when it comes to my nails. So I always use this method and you really dont need an expensive kit like Apres Gel X, the cheap ones works just as good.
❤️
If you’re charging someone for a service, then I would go with gel x or a reputable brand. But since you’re doing it on yourself, cheap tips work just fine.
@@KhoaNguyen-yr3qe yes dear I only do this method on myself. I don't think its logical to do this on clients even with gel x.
@@KhoaNguyen-yr3qe agree, I'm also doing nails on myself and my Missy but already know what products I want to use if a go on to do client's 😉😘💯
How long does it last for you?
Thank you so so much YN I can’t wait to use my kit…. Estoy súper emocionada !
E X C I T E D ❤❤❤❤ HERE !!
Loving this🙌🙌🙌🙌👌
❤️
Hello , new subscriber here from Germany 😘 thank you for uploading this helpful video. I’m new into nails and so for me this is perfect. if there is a way that you can do a video on this topic also but with doing it with full cover tips that were previously on the nail. So a full redo or a complete new set if you will. Sending you big hugs🙂
Tracy, I don’t know what you did but your hair looks amazing and looks so good on you!
Thank you so much
I've given my nails a few weeks without enhancements and ha loved how I don't have to use a top coat when I do thin overlay with the fibergel! Epic shine! I am curious Ii f y'all will release different nude shades in it?????? Or an iridescent purple one like the look on this set?? Btw I had to get my hands on that glitter and oil so good job! Release more vids with cool neutral looks using glitters please!
Hopefully in the future it will come in other colors, but you can use it by itself or put all your gel polish on top of it.
Great video💕
Sold on the July bundle deal now! Hoping for better adhesion with these products and the technique I just learned!
Hey I'm in Redding too! 🤗 I took a class with young nails in like 2014 when the store was still there on Cypress 🤣
❤️
Y’all need a tiny hand held led flashlight 🔦 to flash cure. I love the idea of using the fiber gel like a tip glue. I do this method on myself all the time but use a glue gel system from another brand but I love that yours has keratin. I’m going to order a bottle and try it out!
Love this!
❤️
Of course I’m gonna do this for my next set!
❤️
Tracey!!!!! beautiful. I Love them.
❤️
I ordered flash and burn because of you Tracey! 😁
❤️
Love it!
❤️
Great video!
They look so good! Katie is full of helpful tips (hehe) :-)
❤️
Great idea to use 2 coats of the finishing gel!
❤️
Great idea!! This would be awesome for prom.
❤️
HAPPY MONDAY YN CREW!! 💜💜💜
❤️
Just got twitch and subscribed with prime. So excited to try it out. 😋
❤️
I’m not a professional IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM but I started doing my own nails and acquiring products as my version of self-care. As a therapist it is one of very few methods I’ve found to truly decompress. Your products and videos have been THE MOST informative and helpful even for someone like me. Thank you so much for sharing and making the information accessible for non-professionals. I know that is not the intent and I as licensed professional in a different field, I can appreciate how difficult it can be to navigate.
❤️
I agree, I only do my own nails and I find it so therapeutic and relaxing. It's also very rewarding!
I had to have a major back surgery Oct 19, 2022. With that being said, I had to remove my acrylics & since my nails are so thin I decided to try the fiber gel with 1 coat on my pointer finger’s and 2 coats on the rest. I love the color & it allowed for the pulse ox meter read through the 1 & even 2 coats of the fiber gel. It’s helped with my nails not be sensitive as well! Great product for sure something I plan to use & recommend in the future!❤
Katie hands looks like a kids!! So that transformation to womans hands with that beautiful set is awesome!!!
Yeah.. that’s for this video.. need to create this fiber gel in colors ..
❤️
I don't have to file the inside of the full coverage tips anymore because I learned if you use primer/bonder instead (I use yn protein bond) it holds just as long. I also don't remove my full coverage tips I just fill them unless I want them to be longer.
Hi Tracy. Love your tutorials! Where do you buy your short almond nails?
Our full cover almond tips are available on our website.
www.youngnails.com/products/full-cover-almond-tips-500-master-pack
I’m definitely going to try this!! I bought some fiber gel for the Black Friday sale and still haven’t used it! (I know I know!) I also noticed that you didn’t put the tip all the way to the cuticle!! I have been doing it wrong! 🙄😬 I can’t wait to try it this way!
I think these are just gorgeous! I need to order these tips!
Omg the 'too much coffee & not enough food' shakes when trying to apply the tips , especially pinky & ring finger..... far too relatable
❤️
Hahaha Tracey!! “ I know this part” 🤣
Love love 💚
❤️
Tracy, how do you prep the tips before your client comes in if you don’t know what their nail sizes are? I hear you constantly preaching to pre season your sanding bands and nail files ahead of time for saving time. That’s golden advice! Do you do the same with the tips?
When you have down time or an unexpected cancellation/change in your schedule, that's a good time to do all of those things. You can pre prep the whole box when you have time. This way they are all ready for when you need them.
I put this up on the Facebook community page about 6 weeks ago. It's a great method. The tips stay on. I just filled mine in with Flamingo acrylic. I did a full video showing how I applied them on myself on my Channel. There is a learning curve with putting them on yourself. But works great!
Thank you so much I was waiting for you to do it 🤣
❤️
Hello these are beautiful! I had heard you 2 say not to use swipe on the tip before applying the final top layer? That it may cause the full cover tip to crack or possibly other problems or issues? Is this true for only YN brand or possibly all full cover tips?
I forgot to say THANK YOU 😊❤
Unfortunately, we can't speak on other brands as we don't test them.
I find that It doesn’t crack more it stabilizes the crack I love it!
❤️
Love this! What would you charge for this service? Could you fill them with acrylic or gel instead? I've been wondering 🤔
I have used both on mine. The only problem with acrylic is that it takes a while to solidify when using it to adhere the full tips. Using gel and/or poly gel is faster.
You can fill with anything pretty much... acrylic, hard gel, soft gel, acrygel, builder gel, etc.... I've got poly gel abs builder gel on my initial layers and then I filled with a builder gel and acrylic poured over today...
A basic set with one gel polish would probably be a 30 minute service, so probably starting at $60 and up. Acrylic over gel doesn’t work as well as gel over acrylic.
Can't wait to try this out, I'm sad for my nails they are feeling empty and alone. Ever since I tool the GM position, I've not got to do my nails, not 1 time. ❤
❤️
❤️
My Young Nails full cover tips are way too small for my thumb. Bummer, but I still use them for testing different gel/laquer/glitter colors. Are there any plans to sell single packs of a wide tip, maybe 00?
Thank you for the feedback, we will let the team know.
Do you normally go that fast or short on time? I noticed not all the shine was gone. Sometimes primer cracks the tips,so I only prime the natural nail. Not YN products . I haven't used full tips either. I get nervous working on fello nail techs. That was a really nice method and looked nice. Looking forward to the fill video.
Tracey is great at working quickly. We have a great real Time playlist here: ua-cam.com/play/PLbrhuNO154v0p9T9BWpV7V-USnMwIFmqN.html
How long did you cure the cover tip on the nail Tracey?? And can I use regular YN builder gel or should I use sculpting gel?
3 cups of coffee ☕ oh yess always needed
You want to cure for 60 seconds.
1000000% trying this!!
❤️
A client requested these not too long ago from me and she heard of gel x but the salon I’m at has the kiara sky version , I’m only mentioning those because the set they have available come with full cover gel tips instead of plastic tips, would you guys consider making full cover gel tips for this method because I would love to use your brand for this for sure!
We have a great video discussing this topic available here: ua-cam.com/video/7NIScxze-R4/v-deo.html
@@youngnailsinc thank you 😊
Yes! Please do a maintenance video!
❤️
Curious, maybe I missed something? When you cure the tip to the nail, you’re holding the tip in place. Is that necessary, and why? And how long do you hold the tip in place with your finger (if that’s the case). And if you do do the switch hand method, and you must hold the tip in place, how would that be a time saver? Wouldn’t you have to wait anyway (Again, if you do need to hold tip in place) ? Thanks!
You hold it in place so there are no air bubbles when you are curing while waiting for it to stay in place.
love this tips for doing my own nails but how can i take off ?
You can clip them down and remove with an e-file or you could soak them off since our Fiber gel was used to adhere them and it is a soft gel.
Love this...my dexterity is so bad ...acrylics, gels...etc...are major fails for me. I believe this is the one :)
I have hands and nails just like Katie does, I never can seem to find tips that fit right. These tips look amazing and they might just fit. Where can I buy them??
They are available on our website, youngnails.com. We have a big Black Friday sale coming up. Check out our video from yesterday on details.
I always see those disposable sheets you have underneath, what are those or where would one get those?
They are our table towels, available on our website.
www.youngnails.com/products/table-towel-75-pc
How does the gel cure when your holding the tip on and covering the surface area with your finger? Serious question 🌹❤️🌹
Once you freeze the nail in place for about 20-30 seconds, you can let go of the nail and cure for the full 60 seconds.
Hello! Is this considered gelx? Or gel nails or how would you call this and is this cheaper than acrylic? Charge less/more?
We can't speak on other products as we don't test them.
These are full cover tips adhered with our fiber gel. You can also fill them with the fiber gel when they grow out.
A basic set with one gel polish would probably be a 30 min service. So probably starting at $60 and up.
Will u please do a video on how u fill these 💕🤩💅🙏
Not nail related but did you see Tracy's hair??? It looks beautiful!
