So her prep is 3-5 minutes but what if you do Russian manicures included in prep? My prep takes 10-20min because I do the Dry manicure cuticle work then the nail bed prep. Can you do a real time with YN cuticle bits and cuticle prep?
Agree! I spend most of my time doing cuticle work. I have maybe 3 clients that come in with cuticles like the ones in this video. I would LOVE to see a real time video with thick, calloused, sticky cuticles.
I never do the manicure first I always push back the cuticles then apply the product. When I electric file after that it takes care a lot of the cuticles. If there is still some left then I will use special bits to clean it up. I find if I spend my time giving a manicure I end up making them bleed when I’m doing there artificial enhancement.
That was fantastic. I love how u didn’t care how mess the nail looked before the filing I always feel like I have to be as neat as possible to file less but I see that it’s not really needed because I’m going to file anyway. Thank you

I think the prep time would have gone even faster if Tracey held the PH bond in her hand while she applied. Vs going back and forth across the table. 🤔
I’m glad I watched this video because ever since I started using a protein bond or primer, my nails lift and pop off easily. So I bought the protein bond from YN because everyone swears by it. And I still had nails completely pop off within days. No matter if I did dip, gel, acrylic, or poly gel. So I stopped using primer altogether and now my nails stay on without fail. But after watching this video, I’m convinced I was just using too much without even realizing. I’m going to try and stick to just putting it in the center of the nail bed and avoid the sidewalls and cuticles.

Can you guys make a video building a nail up to just the first or second line, maybe using ManiQ in a jar? A short soft gel almond set.🤷🏽♀️ just throwing out video ideas
Awesome video so far! 19:32 in the video I see that a paper form is placed a bit further away from the free edge of her nail. Wouldn't this mean she could possibly get contact dermatitis? Thank you so much for everything you do!
On some clients that have bitten nails (such as in the video), you won't be able to get the form directly under the nail. In these cases, you may get a very small amount of product on the skin. As long as this isn't a regular practice, you shouldn't have issues with contact dermatitis. However, if you are repeatedly getting product on the skin, over time the client may become sensitive to the chemicals. There are ways of customizing your forms to fit a little better on those challenging nails, but sometimes it is unavoidable.
Hi ! I love watching your videos ! I am not sure if you talked about it but I was wondering if those nails are as sturdy as if you would use nail tips with the acrylic. Second question, what are the pros and cons of using nail forms or nail tips to build the nail tip. Thank you 🥰🧚🏼♀️
I’m having issues with over-filing through the color layer at the cuticle area and sometimes at the tip. I start with a thin layer of clear, a layer of color thick enough for the pigment to be true and then top with a thicker layer of clear. I use a fine five in one bit. How could this be corrected? I would love to see a tutorial on this!
Love all of the information and ideas I get from watching your videos. I’ve been a nail tech for quite a few years, but just getting into nail art and trying to post my work on Instagram. But I’m never happy with how my work looks on the pictures. The nails look much better in real life, but when I take a pic, i don’t think they look good enough to post. Can you help with ideas, how to make the work look better?
How would you do a fill/color change on a set like this? Just fill with the color nearest the cuticle and polish over the top or take everything off and do all new?
What holding the tiny bottle of Protein Bond that she can dip the brush in so quick that it doesn’t tip over? Is there some kind of bottle holder out there for it???

Do you remove the free edge when they come back and want a colour change ?
If you will be completely changing out the color of hard gel or acrylic used then yes you would need to pretty much remove and start over. If you are just changing the color on top you do not.
Is it faster and or easier to work with acrylic versus gel?
Both just depend on you. If you learned one or the other first it will most likely easier and faster than the second one.
Do you throw those table cloths away or do you wash and reuse?
They are not reusable.
When that nail broke, I gasped SO loud because I was like "oh no what are we going to do" lol. I am super happy that nail broke b/c I still would have been trying to figure out if God was going to fix the nail for me lol so it was nice to see how I should handle "the unexpected". But also, it was pretty amazing to see Tracey literally bounce back in 7 seconds, move on, and still finish the set 2 hours before I would have!!!! I'm in awe
