      Yes, that's exactly right! $90 for the set, $5 x 2 for the 2 additional acrylic colors (on sale now) and $5 for the mylar.

      @@youngnailsinc How do you determine price for the base set? Are some shapes more expensive than others? I've seen some of your guys' how much videos and seen some nails longer than these that are also $90. Is there a formula or something, or is it just $90 for extensions, period?

      @@entrancedbynails3919 Everyones base price is different depending on your area. Typically custom shapes and lengths are extra $10-$20 from there. Then the art work is additional on top of that.

      I never do the manicure first I always push back the cuticles then apply the product. When I electric file after that it takes care a lot of the cuticles. If there is still some left then I will use special bits to clean it up. I find if I spend my time giving a manicure I end up making them bleed when I’m doing there artificial enhancement.

      I’m glad I watched this video because ever since I started using a protein bond or primer, my nails lift and pop off easily. So I bought the protein bond from YN because everyone swears by it. And I still had nails completely pop off within days. No matter if I did dip, gel, acrylic, or poly gel. So I stopped using primer altogether and now my nails stay on without fail. But after watching this video, I’m convinced I was just using too much without even realizing. I’m going to try and stick to just putting it in the center of the nail bed and avoid the sidewalls and cuticles.

    The nail design was beautiful, the nail rescue was quick 👍 well the whole set. But I'm a girl of fine details, I feel like it needed better alignment along the cuticles with the acrylic, some look Lil crooked, n some slightly thicker then others.. well that's to my closer eye vision. But at a glance they still look beautiful. Gosh I'm picky, is why I started doing my own and take for ever hahaha I don't think I'll ever take less then hr.. Anyways cool challenge.

    Awesome video so far! 19:32 in the video I see that a paper form is placed a bit further away from the free edge of her nail. Wouldn't this mean she could possibly get contact dermatitis? Thank you so much for everything you do!

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 роки тому +1

      On some clients that have bitten nails (such as in the video), you won't be able to get the form directly under the nail. In these cases, you may get a very small amount of product on the skin. As long as this isn't a regular practice, you shouldn't have issues with contact dermatitis. However, if you are repeatedly getting product on the skin, over time the client may become sensitive to the chemicals. There are ways of customizing your forms to fit a little better on those challenging nails, but sometimes it is unavoidable.

    I’m having issues with over-filing through the color layer at the cuticle area and sometimes at the tip. I start with a thin layer of clear, a layer of color thick enough for the pigment to be true and then top with a thicker layer of clear. I use a fine five in one bit. How could this be corrected? I would love to see a tutorial on this!

    How do you explain to the client about breaking the nail? Especially if it’s a new client, to keep them from losing confidence in you?

    Love all of the information and ideas I get from watching your videos. I’ve been a nail tech for quite a few years, but just getting into nail art and trying to post my work on Instagram. But I’m never happy with how my work looks on the pictures. The nails look much better in real life, but when I take a pic, i don’t think they look good enough to post. Can you help with ideas, how to make the work look better?

    How would you do a fill/color change on a set like this? Just fill with the color nearest the cuticle and polish over the top or take everything off and do all new?

    What holding the tiny bottle of Protein Bond that she can dip the brush in so quick that it doesn’t tip over? Is there some kind of bottle holder out there for it???

    Beautiful! Just curious. Does Tracy leave her acrylic brush sitting in liquid all day between clients?

      Yeah we only leave our brush in the monomer until we are done electric filing or right before we’re applying the finishing gel.

      @@mjaydelacruz8496 ok. I wouldn't think it would be good to leave it sitting all day in the monomer.....and it doesn't make a permanent slant on the bristles?

      @@kimberbell4238 it does put a slant in it that’s why I don’t leave it in there. If for some reason you do, you could wash your brush with hair shampoo because it is real hair and it’ll go right back to how it should be.

    Do you remove the free edge when they come back and want a colour change ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  9 місяців тому +1

      If you will be completely changing out the color of hard gel or acrylic used then yes you would need to pretty much remove and start over. If you are just changing the color on top you do not.

    Is it faster and or easier to work with acrylic versus gel?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 місяців тому

      Both just depend on you. If you learned one or the other first it will most likely easier and faster than the second one.

    When that nail broke, I gasped SO loud because I was like "oh no what are we going to do" lol. I am super happy that nail broke b/c I still would have been trying to figure out if God was going to fix the nail for me lol so it was nice to see how I should handle "the unexpected". But also, it was pretty amazing to see Tracey literally bounce back in 7 seconds, move on, and still finish the set 2 hours before I would have!!!! I'm in awe
