An interesting video to view and some lively and not so lively action !. Looking at the way the animals have greeted me on Reunions, where i have been away for a while. I guess i look different 5 years on as well ! Will be interested in your feedback in the comments posted. Thanks so much for the overwhelming support in 2024 and the feedback on The Last Lion film it means a lot.
Do the lions know the words you say, like come here, or their names even, or is it a combo of vocals and actions? Just curious.
Such a special bond. ❤Siam was my favorite one. You didn't include Unathi, Gandalf, Suja, and Bongani. If they were included, Unathi was my favorite one. He was grumpy but he was so happy to see you at one of the past reunions. R.I.P. Siam, Gandalf, Unathi, Cussasa, Livy, Amy, and the rest of the sanctuary animals that left this world. ❤🤍 I am still waiting for the sanctuary animal update as you promised. Thank you, Kevin, George, and the Team.

Vayetse will hands down always be my favorite. His journey form the loss of his brother Mofumu(? Spelling) and how he mourned for him for so long and finally got some relief when he got Livy and Ginny. He seems to have such a big heart.
Mufumu was Vayetse's brother, a big handsome male who died from a snake bite. Vayetse called for him and called for him....he was being partially eaten by other lions....it was very sad.
and the poor boy lost Livy too by now. in future, I wonder how Kevin is going to solve the question of forming new pairings for his social cats when they are already in their twilight years

Echo and Naiobe are the survivors of a pride that had 5 magnificent lions. They look so lonely now without Siam.

It's so hard to choose a favorite... I just love them all! But yes, 5 years does make a difference. You can tell how they are more energetic in their greetings in 2019. Five years later, still very happy to see Kevin but just a tad more sedate in their greetings. And so bittersweet to see the other lions who have passed away❤
A great look back at the lions and a reminisce of the ones that are no longer here.
I have no favourite, they are all my favourites but the one I miss the most is Amy, she was just fantastic.

bobcat has always been my fav kitty. i love his straightforward nature.
I was left speechless by this video. I could not believe the level of connection that Kevin has towards any of the animals in his care. All of the lions are magnificent in their own right, particularly given that most of them are getting on.
Too hard to pick, love them all. But, Bobcat talking up a storm in the one clip...so awesome. He definitely had something to get off his chest that day, lol. Bittersweet to see the lovlies that have gone on to their next big life adventure. They do live on in our hearts and memories.
Meg is so amazing. Sad and joyous to see Amy. Amazing how old some of these cats are. None of them would have been close to this in the wild and certainly not in their original birth locations.
Age cannot wither them, nor custom stale their infinite variety (apologies to Shakespeare). They are, one and all, wonderful. And have all made their marks in our hearts ❤

Oh my goodness I couldn't give up one of those greetings. What a wonderful gift you have with the affection of these lions. It just shows the mutual respect that they receive and give with you. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the George and Yame where he's running down the fence and then goes around his brother to say hello to you but I love love love love love love love them all

Bobcat's roar is amazing. Just slightly below the amazing roars of Meg and Amy, before Amy passed away 🌈💐 I will always remember that legendary roar. Kevin, you dear man. Thank you for mentioning me in the video. I desperately needed that as I’ve just been told I have Covid so I’m not feeling the greatest. This video, like all the others, absolutely lifts my spirits. Watching you with these lions is so emotional. I can imagine what it’s like to have a powerful apex predator want to be with you and allow you to pet and cuddle it. I was excited when a wild raccoon sat in my lap and allowed me to feed her. Here you are with these majestic lions is just incredible. Hearing Bobcat roar just hypnotizes me., such a beautiful song. Vayetse getting his chin scratched was just so beautiful, like sitting on the porch enjoying the moment. They are all beautiful but that one moment was priceless.

I cant chose. When I look into the eyes of a lion "I just go to peace" and joy and that darkness turns to light. Kevin's cats have so enriched my life. The bible says that "The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength" and God symbolizes the lion as the power behind that strength. When I see Kevin's lions I see the sprit of God ,so beautiful. Thanks Kevin for enriching my life, keep sweet

I really enjoyed that walk down memory lane! Meg and Amy, Bobcat roaring, and Vayetse running to Kevin were probably my top 3! Thank you for not letting the memories fade for Amy, Siam, and Livy. All our old friends are missed, but they are definitely not forgotten!💖🦁

We love them all❤️We feel so blessed and happy to have been able to visit the Sanctuary twice and to have met many of your furry family members. Of course, Amy has a very special place in our heart as we never got to meet her, and so does Meg, for whom we could sing for her 20th birthday last year in June. They are all so different in their personality! What an amazing job you’ve done and still do every day! 🙏🏻 We look forward to our next time! I think my favourite was seeing the old faces again - Amy, Livvy and Siam ❤ It's interesting to see how they've all mellowed a little over the years but the love is still there and they're still just as affectionate!
