I have a legit pair of Chunky Dunky SBs from CCS that I won in a raffle. In hunting for some deals on eBay, I was sent a pair of fakes. I wanted to show the differences between the two.
If you are normally here for Datto Does Destiny content, you can just ignore this video. This is a one time thing and legit checks are not planned as normal content on the channel.

Looking at the size label on boxes is a great way to tell authenticity. Font is normally always off and on the real ones the text normally has a little texture to it if you slide your finger over the label . Fakes will be smooth textured printing.

@@nickheitner Yeah I've heard good things about Goat. Flight club is pretty reputable too. I've just always used Stock X and have never had a bad experience.
On the real shoes the stitching on the toe has a pyramid point at the Middle point of the toe stitching where the cloth meets the leather. It's always on both shoes at the same point
Tbh I kinda skipped through, glad you got a refund and figured it out, but one of the best / fastest ways I’ve noticed to tell if it’s a fake (which might be in the video lol) but the actually tie dye pattern.
No vendor has been able to perfect the vibrancy / smoothness of it, and it always looks more dull and not as uniform

I am a shoe collector. Could not tell the difference. Never buying from e-bay. If I miss it on snkrs and I reaaaallly want it I go to stock x. Other than that, I take my L's and move on. Retail or stock x.
There’s a zero percent chance anyone can say with 100% confidence that the fakes are fake on foot. These fakes are actually pretty weak compared to some of the other batches too. I’ve seen the retail pair and they are put together quite poorly anyways. Some fakes are better than the reps.
On these shoes all fakes have the same flaw, the sock liner colors do not blend together, they have a clean line between each color. The real shoes colors blend into each other
Going to add a few more common flaws for people to look out for. I've been drooling over these shoes for a bit and I'm familiar with reps. I don't mind reps but hate seeing people get unknowingly cheated.
Fakes- (In general)
-Swooshes will be low/smaller
-Inside Camo is blotchy and not well blended.
-Tongue may be too thick/wide
-Where it says 'If It's not fun why do it?' should be clear and every word should be easily read (not smushed or run-on)
- If a pair comes with the FF Ice cream box the tongue slip should be yellow (99%sure) the tote bag colors will be darker.
-Boxes are darn near perfect at this point due to issues with authenticate pairs as well.
-Pay attention to how many drips are on the swoosh and that it fades off naturally.
-Band on back near clouds should not have a gap.
This would be considered a mid tier replica.

Black light / UV testing seams cool but I don’t think it’s reliable. I’ve gone over my sneakers I’ve ordered directly from Nike and found plenty of glue spots and smuggling… Just like anything out there, people post videos like this and the Rep makers see it and fix their imperfections.
