Thank you for sharing this and bringing awareness, every Adult is responsible for speaking for those who have no voice, I work with the Operation Underground railroad for saving children and ending human trafficking and innocuous "cults" such as this become conduits for Child Prn distribution and SA and P-Dough-files and trafficking of children, they hide in plain sight, these are uncomfortable topics to discuss but when I get flack from people about how they are tired of hearing about it, I respond with _" I bet the children aren't having any fun either" people just want to look the other way, because then it doesn't exist, but it's so much more prevalent than anyone would realize and I can't even express how much I appreciate you for sharing this #SaveOurChildren #Endhumantrafficking

The Appalachian Trail Cult is terrifying and vast. They prey on the backpacking community. Backpacking at that level is normally a time we spend alone, to reflect on life, our place in it...
It's an interesting read and research.
I've spent lots of time visiting these communities living and working among them in 2022. I've had the opportunity to learn about their beliefs and observe their life style.

This cult also operates bakeries, not just delis. There’s one in Brunswick, Georgia, and it is the preferred bakery for cakes of the upper crust of nearby St. Simons Island.

the one in the UK is in the south of England which is very expensive real estate value, so they are loaded. got to say though it looks really beautiful inside and the food looks amazing. the reviews one trip advisor all say that foods great but the staff are weirdos LOL

The Yellow Deli in Chattanooga is pretty trippy. So many dunno who’s behind it.
Where I live, they will invite you to the Sabbath dinner on Friday nights. It's quite unassuming at first. To most Christians, it is sold as living like the first church without possessions or hinderences. They will cite various passages in the New Testament to back up their claims. Not much to argue with there. It gets more complicated the more you go and learn about the teachings that shape their worldview about those outside and theological aspects. Like many sects and groups, these teachings are not always told or made known to newcomers. One is that the Bible is taught through the lense of the teachings of Spriggs and a few of the other elders who came to similar conclusions "under the Holy Spirit". They believe that All religions are wrong in some way and that "God" is restoring his original faith through the Twelve Tribes and Spriggs. There is some confusion on the divine aspect of Jesus but for this group despite being just a man he was elevated by the Father God to be the Son of God because of his obedience, where he is with God. Furthermore, they teach that by this time(actually staring three or four years ago), there will be a large number of people around the world who would sell their possessions and join them. This number would eventually get into the hundreds of thousands/millions and by 2070, Jesus whom the call Yah-shua will come back for his bride, the Twelve Tribes of Israel and also the remnant of Jews who are willing to accept the Messiah Yahshua. So far, there has not been a great number of new converts and close to half of the children in the communities leave either before or after 18. Many have cited their teachings on racial purity and child discipline as controversial but so far no arrests have been made regarding child abuse and those deemed to abusive have been reprimanded or told to leave. As the video stated, they own lots of properties and land around the world, preparing for the arrival of Jesus in year 2070. One man said the Bible speaks of not knowing the day or hour but that we know the year and he actually explained their reasoning in good detail. In terms of work, people commit to working at the yellow delis, mate factor, farms, warehouses, printing presses, soap factories and are not paid but all is given to the HQ in Hiddenite, NC where then it supposed to be redistributed. Many work very long hours(sometimes 16-20 a day). Hope this gives an insight into some of the beliefs and practices of this group..

I know about this cult and I grew up very close to Picton in Australia where their Headquarters are. There was an expose on a programme here called "A Current Affair," in 2019. In 2020 police recovered the remains of a newborn baby (and they suspect there are more,) on a remote property in Bigga where Twelve Tribes members were sent into exhile with no medical care, running water etc. Needless to say, the whole sordid mess is revolting. it's not a cult. I know they aren't. There are others besides me who say the same thing, even about what a kind people they are. People aren't perfect, and they're learning how to follow the Bible as much as possible. Parents discipline their children, which is godly adn good so that their children would learn to see the consequences of their actions. They are taught to respect their elders and have respect for everyone including their peers and they learn to be obedient to their parents. There's nothing wrong with them. Sure there are strange incidents that might happen along the way but it doesn't mean that the heart of it is bad. They are about love...Like Nicodemus said....Acts 5:38-39" And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it-lest you even be found to fight against God.” It was even founded on love by the one who began it who said that all he wanted to do was love to his Creator, and to get his heart right with God.
