- Ingredients:-
For the Chicken Tikka Marinade:
-300-500 grams boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
-1-2 tablespoons Kashmiri red chili
-1/2 teaspoon turmeric
-Salt
-Oil
-For the Gravy:
-4-5 tablespoons oil
-1 teaspoon cumin seeds
-1 small cinnamon stick
-2-3 cardamom pods
-2-3 cloves
-4 dry red chilies
-1 cup onion paste
-1 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
-1 tablespoon Kashmiri red chili
-1/2 teaspoon turmeric
-1 tablespoon coriander powder
-1 teaspoon cumin powder
-1 teaspoon chili powder
-1 teaspoon salt
-1-2 cups water
-1 cup tomato paste
-Cooked chicken pieces
-1-2 green chilies, slit (optional)
-1 teaspoon garam masala
-1 teaspoon kasturi methi
-1/4 cup fresh cream
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken: Combine boneless chicken with Kashmiri red chili, turmeric, salt.
Cook the Chicken: Grill, bake, or fry the marinated chicken until cooked through.
Prepare the Gravy:
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, clove, and dry red chili.
Add onion paste and cook until golden brown.
Stir in gram flour (besan) and cook for a minute.
Add Kashmiri red chili, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
Pour in water and tomato paste, and cook until the gravy thickens.
Add Chicken: Add the cooked chicken pieces to the gravy. Stir and let it simmer for a few minutes.
Finish the Dish: Add green chili, garam masala, kasturi methi, and fresh cream. Cook for a few more minutes until well combined and heated through.
Serve: Enjoy the Chicken Tikka Gravy with rice or naan for a complete meal.
