There are a lot of great suggestions in the comments from talented people with good ideas. I'm completely satisfied with the build as is. Keep going with the best build channel on UA-cam.
The doghouse came out good bro you’re do professional a great job my friend ,I look forward for your videos I wish they’d come out every week at least. But I understand you’re a busy man , Thank you for sharing your videos Sir have a great day my brother God bless you amen.
I love this build, Wally!! Here’s an idea for the floor - professionally sprayed on bedliner!!! If this is going to be somewhat of a work truck…why carpet it? Bedliner also acts as a pretty good sound deadener too!
Nibbling away at bits helps move it along .. you're gonna turn round one afternoon and realise you're done .. keep going its turning into a great series .. cheers bud
Nice progress on the doghouse. A cool touch on the back bottom of the cab would be a piece of louvered sheet instead of expanded metal, a bit of old school hot rod vibe.
Great looking Dog House Wally, yes u would want the seal to help keep the gas from coming into the Cab.. Looking good so far. have a couple of beers on me Mate..
excellent cover, good on the curve for the back of the cab. Seam sealer I found is nice to a be great and easy to cut to open as well and redo when needed
G'day Wally, The engine cover turned out awesome. You have some good welding skills. I hope I can get to that level one day. ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
It is a good idea to wait on the sleeper. Use it for a bit, hauling your car. Some ideas and methods will come to mind and then you will know better what your options are.
Great job! While I was watching, it was like you were reading my mind. I kept questioning “What about this?”, and boom you answered it every time. You ended up making it just as I had it in my mind. Only thing I may have done differently would be the front where it sticks out from the seat. I might have spent too much time making that round to the floor. No harsh edges. But that would take some time to do. It looks great. I’m excited to see what you cover it with and how you do the floor.
Agreed....that corner on the leading edge is an ankle hazard. A 45 deg. cut back to the bottom cross tube would be safer or as you suggest, rounding it off.
you got a merch store? Need a tshirt with your face/truck on it that says it wasnt my original plan but it is now! Looks good to me! and other common quotes used throughout your build.
Hey man ,how do ? I'm new to your channel. Love the humor . Of course we are no where near done on this project and already can't wait to see the end results ,with that one has to give the designer/engineer/laborer the benefit of the doubt 😮 just wondering as far as anesthetics go , why not round bar ?
Love the build! Sir, have you ever considered air ride seating??? As with any bench seat…. You are going to get the hell beatin out of you at any speed.
I am wrangling over here about your seat configuration. It's heavy, its big, what if you have to deal with the engine on the side of the road, it's raining, and you haven't yet tried fighting it in and out with the doors on. It seems you need a two-door seat that folds. You can fab up front pins and rear latches so the folded seat pitches forward and clears the doghouse. Rule #1: Save your back.
I have been looking for a 60/40 split bench. I can actually get to most everything from underneath or behind the cab. I’m sure I will make changes as we go along.
Taking risk and getting stuff done. 👍
Very enjoyable to watch the process and all the small victories along the way. 👏🍻🥳😁
awesome work, Man you have the energy of a teenager

There sure is, thanks.
You are really killing it Wally!
Wow that’s really coming together looking good Wally.

Great project!!
Those are some beautiful welds.
Keep up the great work.
Great job Wally!

Awesome idea and user friendly!
I did think about that. I even thought about a wood floor. I’m not committed to carpet.
@@wallysworkin823the bed liner is a good idea. You can put a removable type carpet in like the icon thrift master trucks have.
Always a pleasure. I like the music, too. Good choice.
Good progress Wally. Cheers mate, Stuart 🇦🇺
It's really coming along 😊
extremely cool prodject you do nice work can;t wait til your next episode
Keep on wrenching Wally. Nice work .Take care
Very nice work Wally, thx for bringing us along... Take care and God Bless...
Nice work Wally. No sleeper is good.

i like - IT WASN,T MY ORIGINAL PLAN - BUT IT IS NOW master inovator -good job

Dog House looks great.. Looking forward to see what you do for the bed.. " Keep Workin Wally "
really enjoy your videos on the Chevy COE you do very good work
You could build a sleeper which you can hoist onto the bed and lock in place, so you get the cake and eat it too :)
Great looking Dog House Wally, yes u would want the seal to help keep the gas from coming into the Cab.. Looking good so far. have a couple of beers on me Mate..
Nice job Wally ! One bit at a time ❤😉🙃😎 NZ
Ur doing an grt job on the Chevy truck!
Really loving tha ole coe. Long time truck driver here, i would definitely dynamat and insulate the heck outta the floor. Looks awesome so far!
I definitely will.
excellent cover, good on the curve for the back of the cab. Seam sealer I found is nice to a be great and easy to cut to open as well and redo when needed
I like your tubing bender.
Nice going Wally!!!!

Thanks for taking us along for the ride, Wally. I get to enjoy watching the progress and don't have to worry about getting dirty or a flash ! 📸😆
Doing a grand job wally
Always no gloves when welding 😭😂😂 love the vids keep putting them out and I’ll keep watching
He's working on his suntan! Lol!!!
LOOKIN GOOD!
Very cool watching your progress. Watching you think it, fabricate it and modify it as necessary is great. 👍 👍
That's certainly a heavy dog house: should help to keep the truck on the road. Best wishes.
Overkill for sure.
Excellent work
Looks good…
Great work Wally turned out neatly 🇿🇦
One step at a time
Engineering in your head to the finished work is great.
Jeep hood latch to make access to the engine a little faster if you need to get in there quickly
It makes so much fun looking at your work. Thx for sharing. Greetings from germany Christoph 😊😊😊😊😊

Nice workz
She's starting to come together!
That old truck is really coming along good. Nice work!
Great work! I would grind and round off the two front top corners and refill with weld as need be so you can't accidentally gouge your ankles.
Love your channel. Could you please wear some eye protection? A friend wet blind from not using a face shield. Keep up the great work!!!
Keep plucking away Wally
you got a merch store? Need a tshirt with your face/truck on it that says it wasnt my original plan but it is now! Looks good to me! and other common quotes used throughout your build.
Not yet, maybe someday.
Stick some fuzzy velcro to it. It will keep the rattling to a minimum...
What about using those jeep style hood latches to secure the doghouse to the floor??
You should use some rid nuts. Will help a lot and not have to weld nuts.
When you're done you can make cargo room under the hood because the engine is so far back.
Maybe look into what they used to call a “coffin” sleeper
I did, I was planning on building one, similar to the mercury sleepers.
Jeep hood pull downs would have worked well and easy to remove
Good idea.

Didn’t have any, I’m using what I have laying around.
Love the build!
Sir, have you ever considered air ride seating???
As with any bench seat….
You are going to get the hell beatin out of you at any speed.
I looked into it.
Boo wanted to see a sleeper
I know me to, maybe after it’s up and running.
Turned out real good but why wouldn't you plug weld the skins on
Lazy, didn’t want do drill all those holes. It will get seam sealed and insulated anyway.
You will be able to see a lot better with no sleeper

What you going to do with the original engine bay area, a Frunk area?
That’s a great idea!
There won’t be much room after the cooling system goes in. It’s really tight.
Why didn't you bent the sheet metal over, so you don't have to weld the seams? 🤔
I like it but how are you going to fix the motor ? it need open gate cover something like that ...
You unbolt and remove, it’s not easy with cabovers.
Nice Junk 🙀🙊🙀
Wouldn't it be great to do a perspex cover instead of a sheet metal cover
I already had the steel laying around.
