  • I recently purchased a brand new Breville Bambino and a Turin DF 54. Here's my Breville Bambino workflow, along with the unboxing of my new Morils bottomless portafilter and pulling a shot.

Teo thanks for creating this content. I was wondering how the workflow would be with a Bambino and the D54. I was thinking of the Breville Dual Boiler and the Tirin N64. However if I go your route with money saved I can buy a nice home coffee bean roaster.

Hi! I’m really glad I could offer a different perspective. I completely agree-getting a good home roaster makes total sense. With some time and effort, you can achieve consistent results in espresso and milk frothing using the Bambino. The DF54 is more than enough for 3-5 cups of coffee in a home setting. While other machines might offer more automation, they often take away the fun of the espresso-making process.
Even with my busy life, I make time every morning to spend 5-10 minutes brewing a couple of delicious cups of coffee for myself and my wife. Working on my latte art during that time gives me great satisfaction.
Thank you again for watching my video and for your kind words. I hope you'll subscribe to my channel for more useful content. Have a great day, and happy brewing!

Where did you find the dosing funnel that accepts the 58mm cup from the DF54 to adapt to the Breville 54mm? Thanks.

Hi, both of these dosing funnels fits perfectly with my DF54's dosing cup: amzn.to/3z6Hi4e and the other one is: amzn.to/3Xj8ar2 - Both these are my affiliate links, you'll get a 30% discount with the RVRQWQ stainless steel one, 10% discount with the MHW-3BOMBER one. Hope this helps.

Looks very nice. I have a Bambino with a bottomless portafilter too. Very fun. I usually use a paper filter at the bottom to cut down on random sprays of coffee coming out. I usually use 16 grams of coffee. Yours looked like it was either a but too much coffee or ground a bit too fine. But it looked very rich! Thanks for sharing.

I just purchased one of the bambinos the other day with the bottomless filter and just about dialed in. Your unit appears to be struggling to pull the shot as it just drips, (too fine try coarser). Also strive for the ratio 18-19g beans to 36-39g out within 30 seconds. Also, the preset settings on the unit for a double shot will use way too much water (60g) and dilute the shots. You will need to customize it and use a scale to ensure it pulls the correct amount of liquid and stop the shot. Keep playing with it as you appear to have all the right tools, just a little fine tuning.

Nice video! My same setup has my grind setting at 19 for 17g at 30 sec pull...I'm going a darker roast next time, so hopefully that can reduce the channeling I'm getting...or else I'm blaming my machine bc my puck prep can't be improved 😂

Thank you so much! Depending on the beans, I can go as low as a grind setting 8 with 16 grams of with organic Nicaragua or Sumatra beans. I also use WDT every time, followed by a leveler. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Is this the cheaper Force Tamper from AliExpress? Just ordered one a few days ago

Hey! Thanks for subscribing and your comment. I ordered it from Amazon. The brand name is Capfei. It's definitely the cheaper option. I can't see myself ordering a Force Tamper that's almost the same price as my Breville Bambino, LOL.

@@TeosTake haha I hear ya man, I’m running the bambino as well. I grabbed a cheaper one for like 30 bucks. Supposed to be impact driven like the force tamper
