I try not to miss any of Clints videos. The content is always great but like someone else has already said. "I came for the content and stayed for the family and friendship. " I consider Clint a man of good character. Nuff Said.
Looks like the winch performed well it’ll come in handy when you try to load a disabled dozer again should’ve hung out a few days and let Kevin give it one of his special paint jobs. The winch turned out great.
Have been really enjoying watching some of my favorite content creators collaborate. Just a bunch of hard working down to earth folks. Hank your genuine good old boy with a big heart.
@@HfoutdoorsytYou should do it before you use it. That way, it doesn't bind the cable in between the lower layer and then the cable kinks, and then your in button is your out button. God bless you!
I sorry for the last comment, I thought it was the usual electric winch. I see now it is a diverter valve you can get use to remotely control the winch. Good job
A old school tip for you. If you are pulling a heavy load put a blanket on line halfway between the vehicles. A harbor freight moving blanket works great. Love the videos.
That thing is going to be nice! Without a winder that cable (wire rope) will give you fits. It has a memory so if you can keep it tracking on the spool straight it's easy but get a few kinks in it and just replace it! I'm wondering if you'll need a weight box on the back when you get off road or not? If the test means anything you should be okay. With all the years you spent using what you have to get a job done you'll get it! Maybe you can help your buddy Wally if he gets in a bind?
What if instead of the steel line tow cable you traded it out for the super strong yankum/synthetic lines? Less likely to bind and still can pull huge weight?
That's a practical build and it is plenty powerful enough for most of your projects. Other than pulling out the cable and respulling it under load you guys done a good job building it. But without it finished and hooked up to hydraulic power you have no way to spool it properly. I'm giving you guys a 10 on build and concept.
I was just thinking about this and the video pops up. A battery pack mounted right next to the servo valves would probably work just fine for any machine it's hooked up to. (You could use an old 12 volt Dewalt/Black and Decker charger housing and rewire it to be a battery plug in so you can throw in a recharged battery when you need it?)
Looks like the winch could use some basic sensors and mechanics with worm gear automation to guide the cable to it's resting place. I modified mine 20 years ago using 8 photo sensors and a stepper motor and a cheap controller (PLC), all 12 Volt. Never had a problem with cable alignment during a pull since.
Pacific Northwest Hillbilly , Watch Wes Work, Hamiltonville Farm, Diesel Creek, C & C Equipment, Ants Pants, Captain Kleeman: the best channels to see people work with what they have to do something really cool.👍🇺🇸😳
I watched the build video and appreciate the thought and execution. It could do with a standing friction brake on the cable since a tugger can't employ a headache ball for cable control. Still it's a good chunk of rigging gear. As far as pulling a 40 ton dozer with a 5 ton CTL goes, looks good on film but ua-cam.com/video/CTeb19ICMD4/v-deo.html Just saying. The tugger doesn't have to overcome the weight. The earth is supporting the weight. The tugger has to overcome the friction. Drop the blade and lock the tracks on that TD25 and we'll see how far that Deere pulls it.
snatch block cable wheel diameter is to small , it will kink that cable , it looks like its intended for towrope or kinetic rope not braided steel cables - get a different one
Not to take away from any of this but about 1982 I worked the Battleship Missouri Long Beach California . standing not far away from two 100 ton winches pulling steel cable one of them let go. just watched it go up and roll up in a ball on the deck oh yeah baby
The wire rope they supply with them winches are trash. I recommend adding tie backs on the loader arms or you will face some consequences. Once you pull hard enough to lift the skid off the ground it will tear out of the quick plates. Don’t ask me how I know…
Awesome video. Came over from wes channel. The blessing at the end is really irritating and offensive. It maybe just a saying for you guys but it takes away from the good content. Don't want to hear religious crap on non religious content.
Believing in Jesus is not “religious crap”, if you don’t like it leave! No one is making you watch, don’t come over to this channel and expect everyone to conform to what you want. Frankly, you offend me with your comments.
@edtaylor6431 Bringing religious crap onto a non religious video is a valid comment. I am within my right to ask the question if this is just a saying or is it a channel that will preach at any stage. I will make the choice to listen based on that. It's not up to you to be to tell me what to do. If you were true to your religion surely you would be asking why.
Had a great time and I’m glad we got it to work for you!
I appreciate all your help. The setup is fantastic. You and Wes are the best.
C&C equipment you make awesome videos and so does Hank God bless and thanks I always enjoy your videos
Very nice job and God bless y'all
It was good to Clint’s dad supervising you two to keep you from messing up. Thank You for your service!
The winch worked great. Wes did a fantastic job. I can’t wait to see you using it in more videos. Very enjoyable video Hank. Thanks
Thanks 👍 I'm looking forward to using it!

Wes and Clint are very smart guys. Hank, you chose wisely on this build.
❤❤Hank you're hanging with the man now!! Clint ain't no joke!! The best you'll find, he knows that heavy equipment.
pretty cool!

Mighty impressive build, install and straight line pull!

always a good time with clint and his dad. great job guys. cheers.
This collaboration build is next level Hank excellent videos and build 👍👌
I love both channels
Love Clint and company! I suggest adding attach points on front to either redirect to lower pull and or attach pulley to multiply work force.
3 of my fav,s dontbewillie Hamilton farm and C And C .
AND @Watch Wes Work😊
i tseems over time all the channels i watch seem to meet each other. cool!!
It worked real good
Thats some winch.... Stay safe
most winch cables need unwound and re wound under tension ...
I'll do that soon.

Clint and Wes really done a fantastic job on that Hank I am you have got it like you wanted now
You need a 3/4 in Yankton rope winch cable
I watch both of your channels, plus Watch Wes Work, Diesel Creek, Ants Pants and Lord Muck.

When switching from the bucket to the drill, my buddy used to tell onlookers that it was vegetable oil😂.
As a prototype this is sweet and would love to see what you come up with next

Hey did you get a new skid steer
No. That's Clint's

Are those Crocs OSHA approved?
Been watching Clint for years now

😅Hank, did you consider putting expanded steel in the open bottoms? It would offer you a chain and tools storage without holding dirt
Yeah I'm gonna do that eventually 👍
Great video! Wes did wonderful work and C&C videos have me hooked!
i slung my crocs away a few days ago . and have gone back to the British UK deck shose's that fit just lovely on my feet.
That setup is perfect for what you do. Great video!!!!!!!!

Jonathan W built a winch like this to pull a boiler out of a swamp. He had to chain the skid steer to a tree though.
Enjoyed your video and I like Clinton and watch them regularly
Bravo........cable wipe ......if it breaks.......that's safety.....cheers
Well, that's one way of testing on the first pull. Thanks for sharing 👍
Hank, Send some of y’all’s rain down here to central Fl.!!!
Yeah we're supposed to get it all week😳
If Clint can't fix it who can
Wes.

Same. Spooky that.
If we both think about 1m$ we can go 50/50 on it :)
Hank, I'm worried someone's gonna die. Be careful!!!!!!
How did he set the skid steer up to glow with no one in the seat?
I used to make hydraulic hoses all the Time at work. Same exact machine. You just had a maid on good machine.
I watch all the channels
Nice video.

Boys get older, toys get more expensive 😂
By any chance is Hamiltonville near Winchestertonfieldville? Just asking for a friend.
We are in Florida
Nice golf cart! Is that for sale?
While you were at #@CandCEquipment, you should have sausage fingers (Kevin), painted camo.😊
That's a good job, I like it 👍👍👍
Now you need to add a storage for all the towing and recovery equipment needed like Hodges Wrecker and others with skid steer mounted winch.
Nicely done, tight ,tidy! C&C sent over! ya! Subbed!Cheers!;-)!
Welcome. Be forewarned, I'm a goofball and don't know what I'm doing 😁👍
lets go cant wait to see that flipping thing put in the work son
You might want a kickback cage to block in case of a line flying back
You Need To Buy One Of Those Ex Military Trucks
Dang Hank , why didn't you invite on your road trip?? I would have loved to meet Clint and Wes and the bonus would have been hanging out with you.
I would have even let you buy the food!!! 😂
@@Hfoutdoorsyt for a trip like that I would have gladly !
Good job and God bless y'all
Good video, might consider putting some safety hoops around that cable. Keep it from flying in the window.
👍👍👍👍👍 nice
You starting to hang out with some shady characters,😀 I kid, I watch Clint also.
If you made that for skid steers why didn't you get a hydrolic winch and use the auxiliary hydraulics on the skid steers.

lol. Thats the one the manufacturer recommends for this winch. I'll stick with they say.
Git what you git & don't pitch a fit. Sounds like a man who has been there & done that.
How did it feel working with guys with mechanical aptitude and experience?
You need the Telephone Poless to put underneath the tracks To roll.
It and she pull it. That's the way Moses Wouldve done it.

Hello hank great job 🔗⚙🪝🇺🇸
GUY CARING ON ABOUT HIS 20 thousand pound winch 😂😂😂 that's only 9 ton 😂😂
It looks like a handy attachment to get r done when you don’t have access to a big machine 😅
Great tool just wouldn't want to be in cab if cabel brakes and hits door glass maybe put cage over glass
And if you tear your winch up I bet he can repair it
Hose theory be way of me: If it can snag a hose it will and ruin it before I can stop doing whatever.
Likewise a wire mess will snag and ruin my day.
hopefully you notice he is not full throttle ALL the time
The real test will be with something stuck and froze up

For safety sake.... NEVER climb over the line even if there's no tension there.... bad habit to get into, Please please be smart about this one....
