Well that looks like EXACTLY what I need to "scratch" my clay surface before broadcasting grass seed. I've been doing it with a metal rake, and my back aches just thinking about it!!!

I didn’t know tilling was a thing, I live in Arizona and I am planning on planting micro clover, but my lawn is dried out and the dirt is compact. Thank you for your video. I will rent one of these at Home Depot so I can till the ground before planting the seed

Yes! If u have decent soil all to do is put the sharp pointy TINES on the MANTIS (works better than the tiller type) & make some rows then spread seed THEN go back over same area. Bury, bury, bury that seed and water water water. Love my MANTIS

I did this in a flower bed the other day to mix of different bags of soil and stuff. Got accused of being dangerous. Lol

Let’s say you have some weeds in there once you use this machine and add top soil for planting do you need to rake up the weeds or just leave it? Is it save to leave?
Wait 2 weeks and run the cultivator over the area again and you won't have any issues.
That's what I'm talking about. Bought a hand tiller from Lowes, what a joke, didn't dig nothing. Now this is what I need.
you should go slow with it cause if you go fast with it you can get severly hurt

they are great i have the 4 stroke model its wider path and it also allows you to take the outside blades off and turn it into the mantis you see here in the video. it cost me around 400 but you can get this mantis alot cheaper.
around the house with cheryl , I have one. I think I paid just over 200.00 for mine. Worth every penny. Light weight for a woman and easy and if you buy it at their website they have a payment plan.😊😊
