    The house I bought in 2017 had an extremely neglected lawn, so naturally I turned to youtube for help. I'm subbed to at least a dozen lawn care channels. This guy is definitely top 2... No other youtuber is going to explain to the average joe how to create a healthy lawn at a reasonable price. They're all selling their products and promoting methods that most can't afford. They're completely removed from the reality of what most face.
    Anyway, yeah this tiller gets the job done. I wouldn't use it for any area larger than 200 square feet. I have heavy clay soil and it was able to punch through the initial 3-4 inches of grade. Use it during cooler times like spring/fall.

      Thank you thats my goal to show people it doesn't take alot to have a decent lawn. I try to use alot of easy accessible everyday products to prove that. I appreciate the support and glad I could help.
      Check out this video lol you said you would use this on anything bigger than 200 sq ft 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣

    Great video! I wish I had used that before I planted my grass seeds. I had manual tools…. thankfully the area wasn’t too bad. And I raked up all the rocks and twigs before tilling. ❤

    I highly recommend anyone that has a lawn to get one of those tillers. I bought the Sun Joe tiller and it makes lawn work so easy. I use it on the garden around the house and it's so much faster and easier on the back than using a hoe.

    I'm gonna have to do that in the fall cause I haven't as I said did crap with the lawn. At least got rid of the Bees.

    Been using the Mantis tiller for about 30 years. (on my third one) Love the power to weight ratio. The little tiller is a Beast. My only complaint is the design of how the kickstand attaches. After a while the area where it attaches comes apart. I believe mine is held on with a cap and pin.

    Looks like it's a good tool for that job. I'm in the transition zone just killed off a 50'x50' section of my lawn and will probably throw my seed down 1st week of September. You'll probably need to get a shade seed for that side of the house.

    I was going to be doing a renovation on my front yard soon. I was think of renting an aerator machine. Would you recommend an aerator or a tiller? I have hard compacted soil and it’s around 1700 sq feet.

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  Рік тому

      It depends on what type of renovation you are doing if you're doing like me and starting the lawn from scratch (bare dirt) I would till it. If you have existing grass and just want to relieve compaction you can aerator and overseed. I did my full yard of almost 2200+ sq feet with this tiller.
