As a man living in south Mississippi also I can tell you that deer flies and huge mosquitoes are the absolute worst down here. The rain comes every single day and the bugs come out in force. It’s miserable down here in the summer months for sure

I used to use my pellet gun and a paper spitwad for flies. Saved my BBs and pellets for bigger game. I believe it helped me become a very good shot. I gonna have to get one of those, looks like a lot of fun.
That revolver is modeled after the same one crosman makes so, through the whole video he doesn't have the safety actually on. For that model you need to pull the hammer back in order for the safety to work, otherwise with it pushed against the hammer, it will still shoot with the safety "on".

I have that crossman. I couldn't believe it till I saw the "magazines" Hope crossman dosen't find out. I doubt that allowed thier patent to be used for this.

I clicked on this video out of random curiosity and had no interest in getting any Bug-A-Salt products. I can hit pretty much any bug at around 10 feet with a rubber band. That being said I want to get one of these after watching. So as a reviewer of products I'd say you nailed it! And while you were shooting the foil I was thinking my dogs make perfect fly platforms in the bag yard for me to test mine. lol

i've been doing something similar for years. i just got a co2 pellet pistol from walmart and never put pellets in it so it's only a strong burst of air. works great for flies.
You're the only person who has uploaded a video on the shredder. I've been wanting to see what it's like. Was gonna get it but I really dislike that the cartridges are one time use. You can't refill em and you have to buy a pack for 12 bucks. I'll definitely get one sometime later
I'm going to get one once back in stock. I'll figure out how to reload and post it. I'm hoping bug a salt will come out with a reloader kit. Basically just thin paper with adhesive on it like a post it note and a container of bug a salt Salt.
Yes, I have actually been working on that as well, was planning that for my next video, win or fail, but not sure how it well it will work, more brains on it the better, I'll be watching for your post as well. The paper covering is very thin, post it will be too thick, I am thinking medical paper tape. I just picked up a roll and will give it a go on my next day off.
@@whipit24 That may work, definitely better than Post it paper. The paper tape used on the shred-er cartridge is an extremely thin (almost see through) tape or seal. I'll make sure to do some close up shots of the unused and used cartridge so that it can get the brain wheels turning trying to think of options. To me it looks very much like medical paper tape in the first aid section of the drug store, but even that may be a bit thicker than what is on the factory loads. Even if a fail I will post so others looking for solution can skip my attempt.

My sister got me one of the pump action ones and not only do they work, they're fun. And I feel like the sound keeps most other flys away. Only downside i think is that there's salt everywhere when you're done lol.

Fun lil fly killer. Bummed out it’s not meant to be reloadable (unless you have patience to get a thin sticky paper to cover the holes) and was also hoping it would have “bullets” like some air soft guns instead of the disk. Either way it’s cool
Yeah, that is really the issue. Cartridges are expensive (but I guess that is relative. to me they are expensive.) but then what is your time worth? I reload ammo which is a tedious task, but I find it somewhat meditative and relaxing, but reloading these I always find to be tedious. I have an idea of what you were thinking with the air soft type bullet, but I think even though it is a revolver/handgun, it is still a shotgun for flies.
After a little study, I’ve discovered the color of the unit is not a primary indication of version. Forgive me for assuming. My unit was a Father’s Day gift. I’ve gone through a lot of salt and experienced much joy. Looking forward to future endeavors, your Brother in Arms, happy hunting.
i've got a 2.0 that i'm happy with. my only problem with this shred-er is you have to buy special ammo. it seems a waste to have to throw away all of those discs after use. they would be better off selling just the paper tape rings so you could reload them yourself, and save on the waste. then you could load sea salt, or even rock salt for larger projectiles to take out larger prey.
1 1/4 inch and 5/8 hole punch will punch out identical rings size. Just using any thin paper with some school glue/stick. and it'll just wash off when done 👍🏽
It is fun on occasion, but it is a bit of a hassle, CO2, proprietary cartridges. I find that I usually use the regular bug-a-salt for the occasional house fly. Kids and I have fun on bug hunts once in a while.😁
Back when they were on the 2.0, I emailed to ask about effectiveness on scorpions. They said it would only piss them off. This shred-er though - might be almost as good as my pocket knife
It is very possible that it will destroy a scorpion. We no longer live in an age of savagery where one needs to use a magazine as a rolled up club. We have more refined tools making for a more civilized solution to pest control.
Yes, the CO2 version is much more powerful. The pump guns though are always available to use immediately. As the CO2 guns leak CO2 they may not be ready for a Grab and Go situation. They are great for a planned bug hunt.

thats cool only thing is you dont wanna leave it charged with co2 for long periods of time or your gonna ruin the seals. i learned this the hard way with airsoft guns.
I mentioned I believe in some other videos, why the 3.0's are still good for grab and go, specifically for this reason, you can't have CO2 sitting ready to nail that fly in the kitchen.
The seals in co2 guns are fine if left pressurized and many technicians and engineers will tell you it’s better for the seal. Crosman themselves recommends leaving pressure in their pumper guns which have similar valves. I leave my vigilante pressurized, too.
Well you sold me. It is definitely one of those get around to purchases especially for black widow hunting. Special note to all you gun enthusiast. Don’t use your regular pistol holster for this gun because any salt residue will destroy your gun. Just like when going to a gun show always clean the gun if purchased because the people that eat the salty whatever is now Lookee Lou handling all the gun Products.
The Shred ER is one of the funnest Guns out of the big a salt series. I own all the series and it’s the stand out and go to gun for bugs around the house.
It is definitely their hardest hitter and definitely fun. Do you use it in the house as well? After doing some of the tests on finished surfaces I haven't used it in house, just in the yard. I find the only real drawback to be the CO2, I can't necessarily count on it to grab if I have a fly or two in the house, wouldn't want to load it just for that. An afternoon in the back yard though and I set it up for the whole family to use. 👍🏽
My Shred-er wouldn't take the CO2 cylinder. I reached out to the company several times who didn't seem to care. Finally, the President called me saying I was "ruffling feathers" and how she would deal with me. Wow, I guess informing them of a problem is bad, I would wait until the bugs get worked out. FYI with one CO2 per 10 shots this thing works out to 20 Cents a shot! My reviews on the company website were removed.
Wow, I have never dealt with them on any issues, but that sounds like a rough interaction. Generally, speaking I have gotten several 10 shot cartridges to work off of one CO2, so their may have been an issue with the seal/gasket. Could you give me more details as to the issue, I would like to look into this, I am curious. Thank you for the comment, I like to hear about the issues.
@@justanotheravgjoe1314 They did send me another Shred-er, and it works way better. The new gun is more efficient on the CO2, might have been a bad seal you suggested. Either way, I sent it back so they can look at it.

This is a Crossman CO2 pistol that has been modified by the company apparently it works exactly like the sick Crossman pistol I had a longer barrel to mine that pushes the BB further super Duper powerful I renamed it the peacemaker
Yeah... wasn't exactly my first idea. 🥴. I was trying to finish the video with a couple of fly shots, but it was one of those days where I didn't see flies anywhere, then I noticed the dog 💩. The rest is history. 🤷♂️
That entire revolver is just a crosman 357 .177 pellet pistol they stopped making a few years ago. Aspherical a little different , but frame and all the features are identical. Even the cartridges are the same except these have salt in them .
I remember that one, I used to want one badly as a kid 😁. The current Crosman is the Vigilante which is just the update .357 and you are correct it is the lower, with a Bug-A-Salt upper. I have a side by side comparison video posting this weekend 🤞🏽(If I can find the time to finish editing), but yes, it Is the crosman lower. Yes, It is the manglingest (yeah...I just made that up,) salt gun I have tried. In fact I am just wrapping up a rematch Shred-Er VS the Salt Swat video. This one will leave out operating cost as a factor. This one is strictly looking at power, devastation and destruction.
Also it you want you regular bug a salt to make holes like that and do more damage, use chunky sea salt. Its more expensive but is pretty much a buck shot for you bug a salt
Thanks, I can definitely see the difference. I loaded up some shred-er cartridges with the sea salt as well, and it does more damage in both. Bug-a-salt is still my go to around the house. Shred-er is a lot of fun, but definitely a lot more costly to operate. You are absolutely correct though, the bug-a-salt still does it all. 👍🏽

We had some bad Santa Ana winds last year and actually took down part of my fence, He looks at me through the huge opening and grins, "I'll take care of it." Was up and solid within the hour. All he used was an angle grinder. (ok, maybe not the angle grinder 🤔)

imo It`s a little over engineered. That little power should come in a 1 pump lever. The cost of the co2 is high. What about leaving the loaded co2 for a week? It just sounds bad to me. It did work though.
Agree with your statement completely. It really is a pick it up to shoot off the CO2 then put it away until it's time to play again. I use the pump for pretty much everything in between.
Mine arrived today but want get to shoot until tomorrow. I got it for inside use against red wasp that get into house. Usually this happens a couple of times a year. I do not intend on shooting active nest where numerous wasps are present. One-on-one inside, figure if as least knocks them to ground, I am better off. LOL
yes, I believe that if you hit it square and are within range. But I would test one out if you get it and determine what that range is. the energy tends to dissipate with the light salt rapidly. So too far out and probably just make them mad as with any other wasp killers.
i love my bugasalt but this one is a pass as you have to keep buying the preloaded cartridges from them... i like being able to go to dollar store and buy a big container of salt and refill my own, much cheaper...
My regular Bug-a-salts are still my go to guns. The shred-er is costly to operate, but are incredibly fun. I think buying these is like buying a .50 cal for the pistol range. Can go just fine with a 9 or .45 for the lesser price, but sometimes people want the extra boom and are willing to pay the big boom tax. 🤔👍🏽. This is just the salt version, I think.
@@XxMeatShakexX Pretty much. It is not cost effective compared to other bug guns, and it is not practical to grab for an individual fly in the house. Mainly... have some fun shooting bugs in the yard...with excessive destructive force.
I'm guessing if the salt didn't kill the one you aimed at that general over pressure in the area killed all the flies present...like a grenades concussion wave to them that close 😯
Agreed, I am going to attempt reloading the cylinders, I'll video and post, fail or succeed so that anyone else who has an idea can either copy or move on to another idea. Meanwhile I am saving all of the empties just in case.

@@justanotheravgjoe1314 looks like tissue paper (the kind for gift bags) If you cut out a ring using a pattern and stuck it on with a gluestick it should work fine.

I have put up a few reloading videos and v 3.0 seems to be the best so far, exactly what you said but switched to Elmers school glue instead of glue stick (used in V 1.0) and scotch tape in V 2.0. V 3 I got a little long winded so may want to do some skipping forward. Thank you for commenting, this is where I get most of my ideas.
Yes, that seems to be the consensus, I have one on order and will do a side by side but it seems like a paint job, and different upper/barrel assembly.
@@joelombardi7283 I finally got my Vigilante last week so I could do a side by side comparison. The lower are identical as far as I can tell other than finish, but the uppers are different. I am still playing around with the cartridges, but it does appear that their is something about the ratcheting that seems to cause the indexing to be a little off when trying to use the Shred-Er cartridge in the vigilante. I have been working on finishing a couple of other videos so I haven't gone into it in too much depth yet.
You know for as hard as this hits you might as well load .38 with just primer and salt.. For mounted shooting I have shot revolvers loaded with ground corn cob to break balloons .. Shooting bugs on the back porch in the evening with a real revolver might be fun… er …
That actually sounds better to me, better than dumping all that salt in the soil of the yard. Reminds me of the plastic practice rounds that were primer powered. I just got rid of all of my corn cob media as I switched to wet Case tumbler. Doh,
I got the first bug assault when it came out and I haven't gotten another one since I just haven't thought to get a different one it broke after I used it around 200 different times the main thing that broken was the pop-up sight it broke up inside and then it tore itself apart from there it finally locked up after a while and broke dont remember what version it was called but it was the first one they started selling
Yeah, I remember the original, I broke two of those, well only one, the other one seemed to have the salt solidify inside the mechanism and would no longer shoot (I don't know if that was humidity or water spill). The new ones work a lot better, I am really fond of the 3.0, improved sights, safety and easy smooth pump.
I love my Bug-A-Salt rifle, but I'm gonna havta call BS on these cartridges. I'm an old man, and I got the 'itis, so I was thinking about combining an airsoft pistol mechanism with the BAS salt delivery system. I'm sure it can be done. And I'm sure Lorenzo and the guys at BUG-A-SALT would have no trouble figuring out how to make it happen.
The Cartridge seem to be the big issue with the shred-er, mainly the cost of them and quite honestly reloading is a pain. Maybe check out the Salt Swat, I've done a couple of videos involving them, pretty cool, attaches to a Crosman 2240 and shoots straight up table salt. Power of the CO2 but loads like the bug a salt. Sounds kind of like what your are describing. I don't have the 'itis (yet), but cartridges are still a pain to reload.
Get yourself a 4.5mm co2 revolver with cartridges for loading... load the cartridge with salt, use a small piece of cotton or toilet paper or something for wadding, it is an awesome fly swatter! and if you really wanna be a bad ass you can get a Winchester rifle using the same cartridges... If you wanna tune it slightly you could insert a brass tube with a 3mm inner diameter, i did it with an old crack barrel airgun... I’m dropping flies at 10+ feet. :)
This is basically a re-colored Crossman 357 replica with a different barrel attachment it’s a very nice as a pellet gun and seems to be good as a bug a salt
I agree it is a good bug-a-salt a lot more powerful, and yes it is a powder coated vigilante frame with a proprietary plastic bug-a-salt upper. Good eye 👍🏽

Different people want to see different parts of an unboxing, vs a review, probably should have made two separate videos. it was my first video and I still can't seem to find the sweet spot after a month and a half 🤷♂️. I figure if in doubt, leave it in and let you fast forward.
The 3.0 is great, I use it for my indoor bug shooter, the Shredder is too strong to be shooting at flies on screens or finished surfaces. Outdoors, if you are only shooting flies or black widows you should be fine with the 3.0. If you have any of the more difficult critters like the yellow jackets, roaches etc. (Yellow Jackets are a bit sketchy with the 3.0, if you nail the wings you can take them out of the air and finish with a boot, but if you don't they get kind of angry.) Then the shredder is a definitely one to consider. It is also just a lot of fun to shoot, think a salt pellet gun. 🤔...🤣. This is absolutely an A-Salt weapon. Regulations are currently being considered to limit the amount of salt granules these guns are allowed to hold. From what I understand the discussions at the legislative levels are currently bogged down as to whether a person actually needs more than 10 granules of salt to take out a fly. While pro A-Salt gun organizations are making the defense that some of us are really poor shots, or are sometimes facing more than one fly at a time or why does it even matter how much salt I want to put in my salt gun. I am holding off on the backpack salt carrier with Tube-Fed Bug-A-Salt until final legislation is approved and I know where I stand on the matter legally. (the above statement may be purely fictional 🤯)
maybe a longer barreled version with a multi pump option? 🤔. Still issue would be salt I think. individulal grains don't have a lot of mass so I think the energy would dissipate too quickly to be used at long range with effectiveness. Could be wrong, no expert.

I clicked on this video out of random curiosity and had no interest in getting any Bug-A-Salt products. I can hit pretty much any bug at around 10 feet with a rubber band. That being said I want to get one of these after watching. So as a reviewer of products I'd say you nailed it! And while you were shooting the foil I was thinking my dogs make perfect fly platforms in the bag yard for me to test mine. lol

i've been doing something similar for years. i just got a co2 pellet pistol from walmart and never put pellets in it so it's only a strong burst of air. works great for flies.
Use a wad of toilet paper and muzzle load the salt

I'm hoping bug a salt will come out with a reloader kit. Basically just thin paper with adhesive on it like a post it note and a container of bug a salt Salt.
Yes, I have actually been working on that as well, was planning that for my next video, win or fail, but not sure how it well it will work, more brains on it the better, I'll be watching for your post as well. The paper covering is very thin, post it will be too thick, I am thinking medical paper tape. I just picked up a roll and will give it a go on my next day off.

@@whipit24 That may work, definitely better than Post it paper. The paper tape used on the shred-er cartridge is an extremely thin (almost see through) tape or seal. I'll make sure to do some close up shots of the unused and used cartridge so that it can get the brain wheels turning trying to think of options. To me it looks very much like medical paper tape in the first aid section of the drug store, but even that may be a bit thicker than what is on the factory loads. Even if a fail I will post so others looking for solution can skip my attempt.

My sister got me one of the pump action ones and not only do they work, they're fun. And I feel like the sound keeps most other flys away. Only downside i think is that there's salt everywhere when you're done lol.

Fun lil fly killer. Bummed out it’s not meant to be reloadable (unless you have patience to get a thin sticky paper to cover the holes) and was also hoping it would have “bullets” like some air soft guns instead of the disk. Either way it’s cool
Yeah, that is really the issue. Cartridges are expensive (but I guess that is relative. to me they are expensive.) but then what is your time worth? I reload ammo which is a tedious task, but I find it somewhat meditative and relaxing, but reloading these I always find to be tedious. I have an idea of what you were thinking with the air soft type bullet, but I think even though it is a revolver/handgun, it is still a shotgun for flies.

i've got a 2.0 that i'm happy with. my only problem with this shred-er is you have to buy special ammo. it seems a waste to have to throw away all of those discs after use. they would be better off selling just the paper tape rings so you could reload them yourself, and save on the waste. then you could load sea salt, or even rock salt for larger projectiles to take out larger prey.
Some tissue paper and a glue stick and you could reload those easy
1 1/4 inch and 5/8 hole punch will punch out identical rings size. Just using any thin paper with some school glue/stick. and it'll just wash off when done 👍🏽

It is fun on occasion, but it is a bit of a hassle, CO2, proprietary cartridges. I find that I usually use the regular bug-a-salt for the occasional house fly. Kids and I have fun on bug hunts once in a while.😁

It is very possible that it will destroy a scorpion. Yes, the CO2 version is much more powerful. The pump guns though are always available to use immediately. As the CO2 guns leak CO2 they may not be ready for a Grab and Go situation. They are great for a planned bug hunt.

I mentioned I believe in some other videos, why the 3.0's are still good for grab and go, specifically for this reason, you can't have CO2 sitting ready to nail that fly in the kitchen.
The seals in co2 guns are fine if left pressurized and many technicians and engineers will tell you it’s better for the seal. Crosman themselves recommends leaving pressure in their pumper guns which have similar valves. I leave my vigilante pressurized, too.

Special note to all you gun enthusiast. Don’t use your regular pistol holster for this gun because any salt residue will destroy your gun. The Shred ER is one of the funnest Guns out of the big a salt series. I own all the series and it’s the stand out and go to gun for bugs around the house.
It is definitely their hardest hitter and definitely fun. Do you use it in the house as well? After doing some of the tests on finished surfaces I haven't used it in house, just in the yard. I find the only real drawback to be the CO2, I can't necessarily count on it to grab if I have a fly or two in the house, wouldn't want to load it just for that. An afternoon in the back yard though and I set it up for the whole family to use. 👍🏽

My Shred-er wouldn't take the CO2 cylinder. I reached out to the company several times who didn't seem to care. Finally, the President called me saying I was "ruffling feathers" and how she would deal with me. Wow, I guess informing them of a problem is bad, I would wait until the bugs get worked out. FYI with one CO2 per 10 shots this thing works out to 20 Cents a shot! My reviews on the company website were removed.
Wow, I have never dealt with them on any issues, but that sounds like a rough interaction. Generally, speaking I have gotten several 10 shot cartridges to work off of one CO2, so their may have been an issue with the seal/gasket. Could you give me more details as to the issue, I would like to look into this, I am curious. Thank you for the comment, I like to hear about the issues.
@@justanotheravgjoe1314 They did send me another Shred-er, and it works way better. The new gun is more efficient on the CO2, might have been a bad seal you suggested. Either way, I sent it back so they can look at it.

This is a Crossman CO2 pistol that has been modified by the company apparently it works exactly like the sick Crossman pistol I had a longer barrel to mine that pushes the BB further super Duper powerful I renamed it the peacemaker

That entire revolver is just a crosman 357 .177 pellet pistol they stopped making a few years ago. Aspherical a little different , but frame and all the features are identical. Even the cartridges are the same except these have salt in them .
I remember that one, I used to want one badly as a kid 😁. The current Crosman is the Vigilante which is just the update .357 and you are correct it is the lower, with a Bug-A-Salt upper. I have a side by side comparison video posting this weekend 🤞🏽(If I can find the time to finish editing), but yes, it Is the crosman lower. Yes, It is the manglingest (yeah...I just made that up,) salt gun I have tried. In fact I am just wrapping up a rematch Shred-Er VS the Salt Swat video. This one will leave out operating cost as a factor. This one is strictly looking at power, devastation and destruction.

Also it you want you regular bug a salt to make holes like that and do more damage, use chunky sea salt. Its more expensive but is pretty much a buck shot for you bug a salt
Thanks, I can definitely see the difference. I loaded up some shred-er cartridges with the sea salt as well, and it does more damage in both. Bug-a-salt is still my go to around the house. Shred-er is a lot of fun, but definitely a lot more costly to operate.

imo It`s a little over engineered. That little power should come in a 1 pump lever. The cost of the co2 is high. What about leaving the loaded co2 for a week? It just sounds bad to me. It did work though.
Agree with your statement completely. It really is a pick it up to shoot off the CO2 then put it away until it's time to play again. I use the pump for pretty much everything in between.
Mine arrived today but want get to shoot until tomorrow. I got it for inside use against red wasp that get into house. Usually this happens a couple of times a year. I do not intend on shooting active nest where numerous wasps are present. One-on-one inside, figure if as least knocks them to ground, I am better off. LOL

I had the original Bug-a-salt, but it wasn't powerful enough for what I wanted. Do you think this one will kill a large wasp?
yes, I believe that if you hit it square and are within range. But I would test one out if you get it and determine what that range is. the energy tends to dissipate with the light salt rapidly. So too far out and probably just make them mad as with any other wasp killers.

i love my bugasalt but this one is a pass as you have to keep buying the preloaded cartridges from them... i like being able to go to dollar store and buy a big container of salt and refill my own, much cheaper...
My regular Bug-a-salts are still my go to guns. The shred-er is costly to operate, but are incredibly fun. I think buying these is like buying a .50 cal for the pistol range. Can go just fine with a 9 or .45 for the lesser price, but sometimes people want the extra boom and are willing to pay the big boom tax. 🤔👍🏽. This is just the salt version, I think.
Seems like a less practical, but more fun, version.

Agreed, I am going to attempt reloading the cylinders, I'll video and post, fail or succeed so that anyone else who has an idea can either copy or move on to another idea. Meanwhile I am saving all of the empties just in case.

@@justanotheravgjoe1314 looks like tissue paper (the kind for gift bags) If you cut out a ring using a pattern and stuck it on with a gluestick it should work fine.

I have put up a few reloading videos and v 3.0 seems to be the best so far, exactly what you said but switched to Elmers school glue instead of glue stick (used in V 1.0) and scotch tape in V 2.0. V 3 I got a little long winded so may want to do some skipping forward. Thank you for commenting, this is where I get most of my ideas.

@@joelombardi7283 I finally got my Vigilante last week so I could do a side by side comparison. The lower are identical as far as I can tell other than finish, but the uppers are different. I am still playing around with the cartridges, but it does appear that their is something about the ratcheting that seems to cause the indexing to be a little off when trying to use the Shred-Er cartridge in the vigilante. I have been working on finishing a couple of other videos so I haven't gone into it in too much depth yet.

I got the first bug assault when it came out and I haven't gotten another one since I just haven't thought to get a different one it broke after I used it around 200 different times the main thing that broken was the pop-up sight it broke up inside and then it tore itself apart from there it finally locked up after a while and broke dont remember what version it was called but it was the first one they started selling
Yeah, I remember the original, I broke two of those, well only one, the other one seemed to have the salt solidify inside the mechanism and would no longer shoot (I don't know if that was humidity or water spill). The new ones work a lot better, I am really fond of the 3.0, improved sights, safety and easy smooth pump.
I think I will buy one of these just to salt my food.

I’d put wax on both sides of the magazine, make it like a little more sturdy during flight. Or reuse them with sea salt.
I love my Bug-A-Salt rifle, but I'm gonna havta call BS on these cartridges. I'm an old man, and I got the 'itis, so I was thinking about combining an airsoft pistol mechanism with the BAS salt delivery system. I'm sure it can be done. And I'm sure Lorenzo and the guys at BUG-A-SALT would have no trouble figuring out how to make it happen.
The Cartridge seem to be the big issue with the shred-er, mainly the cost of them and quite honestly reloading is a pain.
Maybe check out the Salt Swat, I've done a couple of videos involving them, pretty cool, attaches to a Crosman 2240 and shoots straight up table salt. Power of the CO2 but loads like the bug a salt. Sounds kind of like what your are describing. I don't have the 'itis (yet), but cartridges are still a pain to reload.
just reuse the cartridges... tape some rice paper on one end... fill all holes with salt... seal the other end with another sheet of ricepaper

Get yourself a 4.5mm co2 revolver with cartridges for loading...
load the cartridge with salt, use a small piece of cotton or toilet paper or something for wadding, it is an awesome fly swatter!
and if you really wanna be a bad ass you can get a Winchester rifle using the same cartridges...
If you wanna tune it slightly you could insert a brass tube with a 3mm inner diameter, i did it with an old crack barrel airgun... I’m dropping flies at 10+ feet. :)
This is basically a re-colored Crossman 357 replica with a different barrel attachment it’s a very nice as a pellet gun and seems to be good as a bug a salt
I agree it is a good bug-a-salt a lot more powerful, and yes it is a powder coated vigilante frame with a proprietary plastic bug-a-salt upper. Good eye 👍🏽
I actually used to load my Daisy Powerline 880 with salt back in the 70’s and shoot bugs.
I wish I had thought about that back then, I was stuck shooting tin cans with that spring loaded .45 BB gun. Salt on bugs would have been awesome.
I use to put those saccharin pellets down the barrel of my daisy Ryder gun and pepper the wall buckshot style.

Different people want to see different parts of an unboxing, vs a review, probably should have made two separate videos. it was my first video and I still can't seem to find the sweet spot after a month and a half 🤷♂️. The 3.0 is great, I use it for my indoor bug shooter, the Shredder is too strong to be shooting at flies on screens or finished surfaces. Outdoors, if you are only shooting flies or black widows you should be fine with the 3.0. If you have any of the more difficult critters like the yellow jackets, roaches etc. (Yellow Jackets are a bit sketchy with the 3.0, if you nail the wings you can take them out of the air and finish with a boot, but if you don't they get kind of angry.) Then the shredder is a definitely one to consider. It is also just a lot of fun to shoot, think a salt pellet gun. I am actually working on a comparison video of the two for fit and function around house and yard to help with this question. Hit subscribe to be notified when I post it 😀👍🏽

🤔...🤣. This is absolutely an A-Salt weapon.
Regulations are currently being considered to limit the amount of salt granules these guns are allowed to hold. From what I understand the discussions at the legislative levels are currently bogged down as to whether a person actually needs more than 10 granules of salt to take out a fly. While pro A-Salt gun organizations are making the defense that some of us are really poor shots, or are sometimes facing more than one fly at a time or why does it even matter how much salt I want to put in my salt gun. I am holding off on the backpack salt carrier with Tube-Fed Bug-A-Salt until final legislation is approved and I know where I stand on the matter legally. (the above statement may be purely fictional 🤯)

maybe a longer barreled version with a multi pump option? 🤔. Still issue would be salt I think. individulal grains don't have a lot of mass so I think the energy would dissipate too quickly to be used at long range with effectiveness. Could be wrong, no expert.

That would be nice, keep a little more distance as well. Saltswat did a video of hime going after wasps , cool, but I don't know if I would want to be so close and personal to the nest. Was good shooting though.
