The i5 supports full walk up/walk away phone as a key. It also supports plug and charge with EA already and will support it with Tesla I'm sure as well. Hot take but I actually think the tech in i5/i7/iX is better than Tesla. 🔥
Tech the i5 has that wasn't mentioned in the video, that the Model S doesn't:
    * better driver assist including hands free up to 85mph.
    * carplay/android auto. Some people don't care but it's a dealbreaker for others. BMW's wireless carplay is actually super reliable and it integrates well letting you use Wayze or whatever you prefer.
    * heads up display. So nice and useful.
    * more color variety and individual options! :)
That said, there's plenty of reasons to buy the Tesla. Great video guys!

About the charge port location, in Europe curbside charging is much more common. The port being on the passenger side is not only more practical for that, but also saver.

NICE video! We went through the exact same discussion (wife and I) ~ you and Max could have been stand ins! It was eluded to in the Tesla review - crummy door handles, frameless glass, but our final straw against was the stupid turn signal buttons/no stalks! Suddenly, we understood why Tesla owners never use their signals - they can't find the button!. The ride quality and extreme nimbleness with rear wheel steering took us into the i5 M60 camp. We're very happy with our decision after 1k of miles!

As a BMW lover, Tesla quality is still very high no matter what the haters will claim.. just as BMW haters will deny their quality and say it’s trash. Tesla is a luxury offering at the end of the day, that’s what it’s defined as. Not saying this channel is a hater space, just sharing my experience. Tesla quality was very good in all aspects imo. The fit and finish was pretty good but the quality and overall feel and placement of everything was the best part of the interior. “Panel gaps” are a hot take with Tesla, but the large gaps are there for a reason.. not an eyesore by any means imo. Steering wheel and seats could’ve been a bit more refined, but they were meant to be modernized. The smell was amazing also in the Teslas, better than any car I’ve been in, besides a Bentley with full leather.

    Guys
I would encourage both of you to do more research on BMW prior to posting these videos..
BMW has had phone as key with a share option with authority levels for years.. ( with Apple Watch integration)
BMW has also rated higher in customer satisfaction and reliability compared to Tesla!
Look it up before you comment…
    Tesla was last.
    In addition,
BMW allows you to have video and still image access inside and on the vehicle similar to Tesla.
    Quite honestly,
If you’re comparing technology, Overall all performance, build quality,
Interior and exterior color options individual builds etc…
The fact that you said you can track the model S and not the i5 is astonishing..
Just ensure you have researched and spent more than just a few days with a car before offering up an opinion that will be taken as fact.
    There is no comparison!

The problem with german premium cars nowadays is that they don’t stand out in any particular category other than just looking fancy expensive from far away. • @Aztasu

You must have mixed up Tesla and german premium cars. Audi has the PPE platform with 800V, 270-275kW charging, HUD and 388 miles of WLTP range in the Audi Q6 e-tron (even more range than the Model Y LR RWD which is only available in Europe at this moment).
Mercedes-Benz will reveal the MMA platform with the CLA at the end of this year. The CLA competes with Model 3 and has 800V, 250kW charging short 50kW boost (so it will perform like straight 270-275kW) charging power, LIDAR, HUD, 466miles WLTP range. BMW introduces its 800V platform "Neue Klasse" in summer next year in form of the iX3. 800V, 275kW charging power good range etc.
Those are just the most upcoming releases, the new Mercedes EQA, EQB, electric C-Class sedan and C-Class SUV as well as the BMW i3 sedan will also follow in just a few months from now, all sporting an 800V system.
If one company in the EV space is outdated and has horrible build quality and customer service then it is Tesla.

@@timram3766 Your argument is 3 years Old when only Tesla was the only manufacturer serious about EV. Today it s different. Other companies have catch up to Tesla when it comes to building the best EV. Mercedes EQ flagship lines, BMW flagship lines iX i7, Porsche new flagship lines Macan EV, 2025 Taycan, even VW with their new ID 7 offer similar techs like Tesla if not better and are miles miles ahead in build quality, interior, everything almost. That s not even a discussion. Mercedes is the fist manufacturer to come up with Certified 3 level autonomous a year ago. Taycan was the first EV with multiple gears, 3 years ago. Almost flagship EVs are now offering Augmented Reality HUD display, advanced Matrix Headlight function, advanced Dynamic Chassis Control features to name a few, none of them are available on Tesla.
In term of range Mercedes and BMW are already ahead of Tesla already.
