This video is on another trip to my favorite junkyard Turners auto wrecking! it's been almost a year since I've made a trip. With being a dad and the hot summer weather in Californias Central Valley I don't go as often as I used to. Plus! if I went more often id probably bring more parts home....
So I'm not really sure what I'm looking for today more like just seeing what's changed or new. Let the junkyard parts hunt begin!

There is tons and tons of great stuff! That’s that I mostly focus on the trucks, I’m sure there’s other stuff also that I’m not familiar with. Thank you for watching!

If your not to far I would definitely recommend it! There so much out there you can spend the whole day looking around. It’s not just open to go out though let them know what your looking for and they should let you go look.

Thanks man! I appreciate it, nice mustang. I used to have an 06 GT a while back. Hoping to eventually get another.

The old fuel truck is a 48-50 Ford. Going off the glove box plate I would say it's probably a 1949.
If that flatbed isn't rotted too bad on the underside and they aren't asking too much for it it would be a good one. Material to build a nice steel flatbed can start adding up quick. Just make sure it will work with your frame length behind the cab.
And I would stick with grabbing a fuel tank set up off a dually cab & chassis truck. That way you know it should fit your truck. Most of the pick ups that age have the wider frame in the back. If you do pull one out of a pick up, measure it first!! If it was me I would just try to grab that whole flatbed truck from the salvage yard. Strip it of any useable parts for your truck and sell off or junk/scrap whatever is left.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Material cost and time plus still need more practice welding. It probably wouldn’t come out like I’m picturing it.
If that was an option I would definitely do it. Don’t have the space to keep it in the meantime, it’s a 460 truck which would be awesome to pull and use. I’m positive the rear tank on the 79 would fit my 74. I talked to a guy that is using one and he just replaced the sending unit with a little modification. It’s not reproduced since most aftermarket tanks sit between the frame rails.
They were asking 300$ for the flatbed which didn’t seem bad to me. If I do end up getting it I’d probably grab all the tank parts at the same time since it would be easy access.
      Thank you for watching!
