Our two sets of twin boys were all in college, so we sold our house in Dallas and moved 75 miles west of Fort Worth to a small town and paid cash for our dream home. We had some money saved so we lived on that while we tried to find him a new job. My husband is in his mid 50's and has always had very good jobs working for Fortune 100 and 500 companies, but we couldn't find anything. He was either too old or too over qualified. He couldn't even get a local job for minimum wage! I am disabled and can't work anymore, but I got online and used 5 different employment apps to submit applications for any job that he was remotely qualified for anywhere in the country with no luck. Finally, after 2 1/2 years we had run out of money and were facing bankruptcy. My husband even went to see a bankruptcy attorney. The attorney as well as all our friends encouraged us to default on our credit cards, but we refused because it felt like stealing to us. One day we were praying and crying together and told the Lord that if we needed to, we would sell our new house and all our possessions, buy a travel trailer and move to his parents place. We told the Lord that we didn't know why this was happening or what the future would bring, but that we trusted Him. Within minutes of finishing our prayer and drying our eyes, the phone rang. It was a company that I had sent a resume to and they talked to my husband for a few minutes and then offered him a job on the spot!!! It was literally a "dream job" that we prayed about as being absolutely perfect for him in job description, location and money!!! So we started crying again, but this time with tears of joy! This was and is truly a miracle and continues to be a blessing to us in many ways and my husband has been a blessing for this company too! Since the company is a US Defense contactor, you can even say he has blessed our whole country and the world too, because he has come up with solutions to some big problems in the 8 months that he has been there! Taste and see that the LORD is good, and blessed are all those who trust in him. Psalm 34:8
