This song is punishingly hard on an organ or piano. To perform it this perfect on a guitar is awesome. The way he keeps walking the melody through the very narrow gaps in the harmony.
Yes, I like Vivaldi very much. He was born in Venice, had red hair, was ordained as a priest and taught music at a girls’ orphanage. Much of what he wrote was for the girls to play - but not at all simple or easy. Bach was influenced by Vivaldi’s music. “The Four Seasons” is a good introduction to Vivaldi.
Wow J... yes classical guitar is a whole other level of music. And then Bach... is another dimension. I applaud you for expanding your musical horizons. Keep going, please . Concerto in D for Two Violins is next for you by Bach.
Thank you for your video! I recently have gotten addicted to Bach music. His Brandenburg concertos, Goldberg variations, his Italian concertos, music for Oboe with orchestra, Partitas, French suits, The Well-Tempered Clavir, and actually all his works are brilliant. Love that you make a video about his divine music! Thank you and God bless you and your loved ones!
Hi. You must hear this piece played on a pipe organ. I recommend Jean Baptiste DuPont’s performance. The resonance and complexity and the way his hands fly on the 3 keyboards and his feet on the pedals is marvellous.
Picture Steve Howe of Yes playing that piece. He might be up to it because he was classically trained. He and so many others have done their covers of Classical Gas by Mason Williams. You should check out as many versions of that as you can find just because it is so good.
I really like your reaction. Bach was a baroque superstar. He was also a church organist and composed works for the services. (And before and after them.) I don’t know the guitarist, but obviously he is very good. (Perhaps he plays the piece a little too fast, certainly compared with the usual speed on an organ.) I enjoyed listening to this piece with you. 🙂
Notice how it sounds like there are three instruments playing? That is divine playing there. Not even Yngwie Malmsteen could pull this shit off. Completely divine. My mind is boggled. I see this bald headed man and I hear what is coming out from his playing and I just go WOW! Yeah just like your facial expression throughout this entire video basically bro! Give it up to Bach though! Holy shit, to create a masterpiece like this. It gives me hope in humanity that a man can create Divine music like this.
This is pretty hard for guitar! Great performance! About Bach "how do you write something like that?" - he always dedicated all of his music to God, so he had plenty of inspiration thinking God is hearing what he comes up with haha. Amazing music
I thoroughly hated the first movement. But he did the second movement right. I hate it when an artist rushes through the first movement, it should be fast but not so fast that it is blurred. The second movement is perfect, I wish he had done the first movement this way.
@@FenderBassMan Thanks! I made that joke up years ago when I was studying classical guitar. When I tell that joke I use an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent.
If you like guitar, you should give a listen to Emmanuel Rossfelder playing Arban "The Carnival of Venice". Virtuosity, musicianship, cleanless of sound... He gets sounds out his guitar that don't even sound like a guitar... Or anything by Ida Presti.
@@nelsonx5326 You wish you could play the guitar even half as well as Viktor Ilich. He is an amazing classical guitarist so please stop talking out of your envious and pretentious ass.
Try this same piece with a full orchestra, the interplay of instruments is awesome, also a solo on the Harp and finally the group who plays this on electric guitar.

I keep thinking of how many years he must've been playing and how much he practiced before he first played this. It is amazing.
It doesn't sound nearly as gothic without the organ!
I love this piece!
Vivaldi, anything Vivaldi, you won't regret it. I wish more people would react to classical music. Cheers!

This blew my mind. Especially the Fugue. I LOVED UR REACTION TOO! my fave
The absolute magic of Bach's genius is that whatever instrument his music is played on, it still sounds completely
and recognizably Bach!
Brilliant. Thanks for posting. Classical guitar is a whole other level of playing.
Another level entirely ..the pinnacle, in my humble opinion
@@jamfamily4287 Steve Howe from Yes. Mood for a day. A classical guitar solo.
Love the diversity of your choices.👍
Your silence during the performance speaks louder than the oohs and aahs of most reactors. Thank you!
He makes it look hard . . . because it is. Spectacular!
This was amazing....and no interuption is the best you respect man and as a black man myself this is just awesome.

That actually works as a classical guitar piece! Amazing.
Wow. This took me back to my childhood and all of those late night Vincent Price creature features. So cool.

Bach to me is like an inevitable musial clock. To think that its soo far in the past is cracy. Great reaction video :-)
Great piece and perfect performance! Thanks for your reaction and emotions to it!

I was just going to suggest Mood for a Day.
I agree bach is a whole new level total genius
On his deathbed, Bach said to his wife: "Don't cry for me, for I go where music is born,".
Bro! This is Divine! This is God speaking to me, literally!
Bach's Chaconne on the violin is a must hear.

You should react to Mark Applebaum Aphasia, very interesting piece written a few years ago for sign language and backing track.

This guy jams

My name is Bach, and I'm so baroque because I'm hooked on crach.
LMFFFFFFFFFFFFFAO!

USA! I watched your Hey Hey My MY video 20 times. You got it, you get it. USA!
Same song, 'Hey hey my my', except an electric version that will melt your brains out...

Yes, such is called " virtuoso".
Have you reacted to this on the organ (the original instrument the music was written for)?
Not sure, but I've heard it though!

Cepa Andaluza (sitting around the table) is my personal favorite.
Howdy y'all from Texas.

Check out some Glenn Gould
Did anybody else catch that on page 47, second measure, he missed the A on the high E string
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Missed it. I know you're kidding, but honestly, this guy playing is good but he isn't great.

Really need to hear this on an organ, or Sky's version
