Wow, I'm the first comment! Congrats David, this is a wonderfully fun piece! I'd love to hear about your process for composing it and getting it performed!
David - please consider writing for Wind Band. I think writing a wind band version of this would be a great start. I'd love to do it myself, but I am curious to see what your choices would be. Keep up the good work. -Chris
Very nice, but having recently watched your video on endings, I must admit I would have been happier with a ending that sounded more like an ending, even if you had written just one more chord.
I suspect this might be a situation where you're encountering dissonances you may not regularly hear in your day-to-day? Nothing's out of tune, per se, but intervals like the minor/major 2nd are quite dissonant, which some might find challenging or even unpleasant. I find it's implementation here to be quite lovely. You should try to embrace those textures!
@@BookooZenny I'm myself a hobby musician/composer and i'm also an audiotechnician, so I'm somewhat familiar with many voicings and harmony but it seems that i'm expecting completely different harmony for those parts and to my ear those intervals just don't fit and they sound "out of tune"... meh...
Great music! 🎶👍
I just came from Red Means Recording... 😊
Feels like I'm a child at a fair in a happy fantasy town or something. At least, that's the imagery that came to my mind. Lovely piece!
me to i kinda got a studio ghibli vibe from it, flying through the air on a sunny day in kiki's delivery service
These crunchy intervals are delectable
Absolutely adore this! Just came from Red Means Recording!
A very animated and adventurous piece, with lofty ideals and a driving melody. Altogether amazing!
Thank you so much!!!
Love the instant ending, it's the cherry on top of all the emotion from the last section!
My favorite living composer
I agree, considering 99% of living composers are just spamming atonal content that no one wants to watch
great music. just great.
feels like im walking through a sky city
definitely could be the soundtrack to a Ghibli movie :)
Goated piece
This is amazing, David!!! ❤️❤️
This could definitely be in Final Fantasy XII, it sounds a lot like its soundtrack.
Almost a Final Fantasy Tactics feel too
@@mikereyes2488 There's definately an Ivalice feel to it.
@@DiegoJacomussi 👍
I love, love, love how this sounds. I could only wish I had a better sound system to better appreciate it. Thank you for your music. :)
Love you Bruce

Nice, very David Brucian.
Fascinante.
Super cool dude! :)
Beautiful piece!

just delete the strings and you have your wind band
oh god, Spirited Away flashbacks intensifies
precisely
I love it 👌🏻👍🙂
Is that polyrhythm I hear?
Joyful!
Those poor high horns. I'm sure they'll nail it when it matters, but that's never gonna be without its brown pants moments.
light and fluffy I like it a bit görschwin in it ;)
Why would someone down vote this?
Why would someone call the dislike button a downvote button?
Calix Ingles why would someone be so uselessly pedantic?
If you want to be all technical about it it's an upsell button
sounds like something from a newer Zelda game
sounds a lot like steve reich, love it

Each to their own I guess but I thought it was perfect.

I also think it was perfect.
Why it sounds like horns and violins are out of tune time to time? :/
Is that on purpose?

Yeah I think that's very intentional, but I think it works really well with the attitude of the piece, which is per se very burlesque and circus-like
Haha David on the camera
This is Great music! can I use this music for my animation project?
This piece was okay. It wasn't The Lick Quartet or Gumboots, but it's okay.
This sounds horrible in my opinion....
The mistakes and dissonance make it more human. You can go back to perfect "in-tune" electronic music if you don't enjoy that.
